The location is very convenient, only a five-minute walk from the entrance to the old city. The hotel is clean, the room is decent, stayed for one night, and was generally satisfied. The breakfast is pretty good in Germany.

Location of the hotel is good and is very convenient. I choose this hotel is because of the Sauna facility. Just knew that Sauna is not free of charge, quite disappointed.

I had such a great experience here! The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathrooms are huge and modern. The food is also pretty good. The best part about this hotel is that the location is amazing. The town is so cute and there are so many shops you can stop by. There's also a night watchman tour that explains the history of the town. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here!

The room was more suitable, and the front desk was friendly. I arrived early to store my luggage. The included breakfast was very good, and the variety was basically complete. The waiter remembered that I wanted to drink milk the next day (at my own expense the first day), and it was hot.

We went to this hotel for dinner without reservation late in the evening. The owner of the restaurant welcomed us and requested to wait for a short time. The serving staff here is really friendly and respectful. They could speak fluently in English as well. The food was really delicious and quantity was also more than sufficient for a price. A place I can definitely say we will be returning to. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was perfect! Rooms were spacious and very clean, loved that there was a bathtub. Two hundred year old bed was beyond comfortable. Rooms can get a little warm as there is no AC in this historic building but opening the windows was not a problem. Location is perfect, right in the heart of everything...

My husband and I had a great stay at this hotel. Definitely more of a bed and breakfast type feel. Staff were all very kind and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised (and thankful) that all the staff spoke English very well. Great experience! Highly recommend!

On the first view the room looked quite old especially the bathroom is small and not comfortable (but very clean). But the view (valley direction) is really great and the bed is really good .. the breakfast is also very good (the breakfast room has a phantastic view as well). But on the minus side counts: no fridge, no save and a very old door lock (that I would not trust if I would have something...

Well... I didn't really stay here. But, I saw them have the Taiwan flag hanging out there. So I decided to give them a five star 😜

the hotel was rather old. the common areas were in need of renovation. the bathroom was recently renovated .... unfortunately the reception was not very warm, we were an hour early and we were told this immediately ... the message ... go into town and find a restaurant for tonight. this while there was a bar and it might be smarter to let people relax and refer them to your own bar.

I recommend this hotel to stay if you visit Rothenburg ob der Tauber. It is right on the spot in the historical area with parking lot nearby. On second floor is pleasant and huge hall with ancient tapestries and furnishings. Hot breakfast buffet is great. On the downside, hotel may turn off the power during the daytime. So if you got battery for iPhone to charge during the daytime, ask the hotel...

Outside of city wall down by grazing fields but walkable into old town up a steep hill. You will get your exercise in. Rooms extremely spacious and clean. Perfect as a last minute reservation. Free parking right across from hotel entramce. Highly recommend.

Amazing wifi, amazing staff, very big and clean room. The hotel was about a 15 min walk to the heart of rothensburg and made traveling without a car very easy.

The rooms are not equipped with air condition (we visited the place summer time and it was very warm)

This is a cosy old style hotel with fantastic location. We came in last in the afternoon and still had plenty of time to stroll the coble stone streets.

Got one of the familly rooms with a gorgeous view on the courtyard / tower. Friendly staff and great breakfast! Must visit the sausage shop Erich Trumpp for excellent sausages to pair with some wine in your room! And do the night watchmans walk for a good laugh and a little history. Take a stroll through the Christmas shop. Loved this town and this hotel!

While originally this wasn’t our first choice of hotel when visiting Rothenburg, it ended up being our favorite hotel during our 2 weeks in Europe! This is a great place to stay! Super easy walk into the heart of Rothenburg, and the breakfast is wonderful! Only recommendation for travelers would be to arrive early if possible to get decent parking if you are driving.

We visited Rothenberg ODT for the holiday season (must do!) and spent two nights at Gerberhaus. The guesthouse is quaint and cozy and each room is decorated differently. I loved all of the eclectic Christmas decor throughout the guesthouse. The breakfast was wonderful! The staff were very gracious and accommodating. We were traveling onward to Nuremberg via train and I reached out to the hotel in advance...

Beautiful and quaint. Every detail so well thought out. Wish we could have stayed longer. I hope to return!

Magical I LOVE ROTHENBERG! THIS CHARMING INN IS EXCELLENT. THE LOCATION TO PARKING AND TOWN IS EXCELLENT. THE BREAKFAST IS DELICIOUS. WE STAYED HERE IN 1983 AND LAST WEEK. WE WILL STAY AGAIN. THE ONLY ISSUE...PILLOWS TOO FLUFFY.

Lovely accommodating owner and staff but this is really a well located café (even the sign says Café Gerberhaus!) with good basic rooms. Gardens off the back with a lot of potential but not maintained, as the focus seems to be to just manage everything else day to day, which they do! Can park right on the street, especially overnight, but better to park in the (easy to access) huge lot just outside...

Great value! Staff was so friendly and helpful. I stayed as a solo traveler in a single room and it was super clean and new. I wish the bathroom area was a little bit wider but I understand it is a space saving room. The hotel is so quiet at night with no noise disturbing my sleep. Breakfast buffet was adequate but nothing great. Overall I had a wonderful stay and would recommend.

Wonderful little hotel outside the old city walls, which made it really easy to drive up to and park (for free!). The breakfast, which was included, was simple yet delicious. Although the rooms were a little dated, everything was clean and tidy. Very good service and pleasant staff.

We had Room #12 on the second floor of the guest house. It was spacious and recently renovated. We had a quiet and comfortable nights sleep. The only bad thing I can say about the room is that the WiFi doesn't work there due to the location. Service was warm and welcoming. The included breakfast buffet was excellent. Short walk to the main square and the Night Watchman Tour. Definitely recommended...

There are so many things we loved about this hotel. First, the building and location: a 200-years old castle at the edge of the city. The views are amazing, and the possibility of having breakfast or a walk along the city's wall is unique. It's only three blocks away from the town square and the main restaurants. My husband and I loved our long weekend at the Burghotel! Otto and his family are delightful and all the staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful with a pleasant view and we enjoyed having a sitting area. Fantastic location, quiet, comfortable bed. We will stay again at the Burghotel!!

By booking in this hotel is like booking a stay in the history of Rothenburg! Beautifully preserved listed building within the old city! The rooms are comfy and have all the amenities that you will need. Just an advice, their is no lift so if you want to avoid stairs try to book a room in the ground floor. Also, you can can access the parking only up to 22:00. Anyway the city is asleep after that.

Absolutely lovely stay. It felt like I was at my family's own home. The staff is amazing and the owner, Otto, is full of stories about the town's history. We spent a lot of time just talking to him in the parlour! Breakfast was tasty and the room with valley view was perfect.

One of the coziest hotels I have ever visited. To stay at Burg Hotel felt like staying in a fairytale castle. We stayed in room 30 which was at the top with a great view. The gentleman who met us was so hospitable and helpful and the breakfast and its view were absolutely stunning. If you are visiting Rothenburg I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Cute little room in the most magical location just behind the famous spot for photos, and just a few blocks from the town square. Downstairs is a superb burger joint owned by the same people ~ which actually doubles as the reception! A little confusing at first, but once you figure it out, they're super nice. :)

Beautiful hotel! My room was in the far corner of one of the wings and had a small sleeping area but large bathroom! Location by the tall wall was cool! Highly recommend the night watchman tour and walking the wall!

Second tine we have stayed here and was not disappointed. Kitchen and restaurant staff were outstanding as was everything we ate!! Room was small but clean and refreshing. Very good 3star hotel that acts like a 4 star!! We will be back!!
