The hotel is very conveniently located just outside the city centre area. Easy walk for 10 minutes to Market Plaza and city centre area. The room size is good for a couple. Has Aircon which is not common in Germany

It was a blessing in the summer of June where temperatures are closer to 25 to 30 C. Breakfast has good spread of breads and cold cuts. The restaurant is spacious and service was good

Excellent location with great access to the old town. Clean rooms with impeccable service. The breakfast buffet has a great selection and is capable of servicing anyone. I highly recommend.

Location of the hotel is good and is very convenient. I choose this hotel is because of the Sauna facility. Just knew that Sauna is not free of charge, quite disappointed.

Location is excellent right in the centre of the ancient town of Rothenburg. Parking is available which is a nice surprise

Situated in the walled town of Rothenburg. ! All tourist spots are within walking distance. The hotel offers a very good spread of buffet breakfast. Must stay if you are in Rothenburg

The only one concern I have is regards the view from the windows. Our room is facing the wall of the neighboring building and there is not much to see. The peak is that there is zero-to-non noise though

Me and friend stay here for one night, and we are very satisfied! Very central location, only one minute to the central square. The room is big and comfy and the bathroom is spacious and well decorated

We have stayed at Hotel Eisenhut before, and we always come back. Great Hotel, great service, and very friendly. Beautifully appointed, spacious rooms, very comfortable beds. Breakfast was amazing.

The food and wine was acceptable but for 140 euros the three of us left feeling like our money could have been put to better use. Not a terrible experience but we regretted the decision to eat there

The room and bathroom are spacious. It was well heated and very clean. The breakfast was one of the best I've had do far during my travels around Germany due to variety and quality

It's a bit out of the way but on a main road and easy enough to locate. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room sizes are huge. Restaurant is really good.

Very quiet and authentic German hotel. Still not used to the traditional German bedding. We are used to sharing covers. Perfect location for taking a stroll in the evening to enjoy what the city has to offer

It may not however, suit travellers who want modern in the room facilities like top notch coffee machines. The location is great, just a stone throw from the busy part of the town and Christmas market

We booked the family room and it was large and comfortable. We quite like the rustic look of the room, which suited the overall ambience of the hotel and town

It was good stay, the rooms were lovely and styled with classic furniture. It was very clean and there was a good view from our window (the town has a beautiful view around every nook and corner)

We had dinner here last night, it was a welcoming and warm experience. Today we happened to pass by and I was urgent. The staff didn’t hesitate to allow me to use the bathroom even though I didn’t eat breakfast here

Great survive the staff held on to our bags while we parked our car and explored. Rooms are clean but simple. Location is awesome and breakfast is fantastic.

Our rooms were in their other building which was more modern about 50 ft nearby. Communication with hotel was excellent

All liked it! The atmosphere of an old German restaurant, the service - they immediately found us a free table, the waiter was always nearby, giving the necessary advice, the speed of preparing and taking out dishes when the restaurant was fully loaded was simply impressive

Even on an extremely busy night during Christmas Market season, the staff gave us wonderful attention. We were completely pleased, and would stay here again. It's also nice having an attached restaurant - very handy!

Indoor parking, while cramped, was very close by and the enthusiastic parking attendants were very helpful and immediately available. A good value for the location and overall quality of the hotel

We had a beautiful room with a great view. The room was spacious, the staff was wonderful. We had a good breakfast each morning and we ate dinner and had drinks at the hotel one night while we were there

The breakfast was good, put together specifically for me as the hotel was quiet and didn’t need to do the full buffet for only a few guests. I would definitely recommend and stay here again

They appeared overworked and frustrated. It was over the Christmas holiday, so that was surely part of it, but, not friendly. Breakfast buffet was good and plentiful

Very quiet and comfortable hotel. The bed and pillow were very comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Very short walk to restaurants and shops. Parking situation was also easy and inexpensive

Staff was not friendly nor helpful, unwilling to give us basic space for our family to gather outside our rooms (3 rooms for 4 nights, thought that might warrant using an empty table in an empty room of the restaurant, but not allowed even when restaurant empty)

2025 31th Mar. Very close to center square with cozy atmosphere. We had early morning tour and the breakfast box was full of diversity food that was well prepared by the staff.

A 10 minute walk to the train station hauling luggage and 5 minutes to Christmas markets, this location is perfect. I could not recommend this hotel more. I look forward to future stays here

Perfect location right outside the old city wall. The room was clean and modern but maybe a bit small. Our room came with a very small balcony that we enjoyed during our stay

Our room was so large it felt like a palace, and the location was perfect; the city walls were right within view from the hotel

On the first view the room looked quite old especially the bathroom is small and not comfortable (but very clean). But the view (valley direction) is really great and the bed is really good

On second floor is pleasant and huge hall with ancient tapestries and furnishings. Hot breakfast buffet is great. On the downside, hotel may turn off the power during the daytime

One of the best hotels I've ever had the pleasure to stay in. On our 'once in a lifetime' trip to Germany, we stayed overnight in Rothenburg. In retrospect I should have booked 3 nights

Despite my tendency to go "middle of the road" on price, I decided to splurge since this would be our hotel for our the first two nights of our post pandemic vacation. The hotel exceeded our expectations

The hotel is a ten-minute walk from the core of Rothenburg. It has free parking spaces, the service staff is very friendly, the facilities are average, and the price-performance ratio is the main focus

The waiter remembered that I wanted to drink milk the next day (at my own expense the first day), and it was hot

But it happened to be the off-season, so there were not many tourists. There were only a few tourists in all the hotels, and the prices were not cheap

Outside of city wall down by grazing fields but walkable into old town up a steep hill. You will get your exercise in. Rooms extremely spacious and clean. Perfect as a last minute reservation

Amazing wifi, amazing staff, very big and clean room. The hotel was about a 15 min walk to the heart of rothensburg and made traveling without a car very easy.

The rooms are not equipped with air condition (we visited the place summer time and it was very warm)

  The Wi-Fi was only so-so in the rooms, but was good down in the lobby.   Breakfast was our only disappointment.    Having been used to a buffet where you can choose what you want,  they were set up a bit differently

   We didn't want to make a fuss so thank goodness for the peanut butter that we never leave home without.   It was very good on one of their rolls.   They do have a restaurant for dinner but we did not eat there

  The staff were exceptionally nice and friendly.   It's in a great location to walk to everything in old Town.   Our room was great, large, good size bathroom

  They brought out a tray with salami, Parma ham, 1 slice boiled ham, 1 slice of cheese, packaged cheeses, 1 mandarin orange and some grapes and a plate of smoked salmon

  As we have experienced several times on this trip,  there is NO elevator.    We were lucky the hotel had a colleague who took our bags up and back down for us

  We were free to pick up yogurt with a little granola/ fruit on top.   We don't eat much of what they brought out, and we hate wasting the food

Friendly staff and great breakfast! Must visit the sausage shop Erich Trumpp for excellent sausages to pair with some wine in your room! And do the night watchmans walk for a good laugh and a little history

The owner also helped arrange a cab for us to the train station on the morning of our departure. (It's very limited traffic inside the old walled city, no taxis to hail, and Uber isn't an option there

The walk to the train station is only 1 mile, but we didn't want to drag rollerboard luggage on cobblestone streets for a mile!) My only complaint was the pillows = which were much too flat for my family's tastes

We visited Rothenberg ODT for the holiday season (must do!) and spent two nights at Gerberhaus. The guesthouse is quaint and cozy and each room is decorated differently

I loved all of the eclectic Christmas decor throughout the guesthouse. The breakfast was wonderful! The staff were very gracious and accommodating

We were traveling onward to Nuremberg via train and I reached out to the hotel in advance to ask for their advice, which was most helpful

I recommend booking directly through the hotel because the rates are better for you and the margin is better for them

Great value! Staff was so friendly and helpful. I stayed as a solo traveler in a single room and it was super clean and new. I wish the bathroom area was a little bit wider but I understand it is a space saving room

We had Room #12 on the second floor of the guest house. It was spacious and recently renovated. We had a quiet and comfortable nights sleep
