This hotel is amazing. The couple that owns the hotel go above and beyond to make your stay magical. I highly recommend booking a dinner with them-the food is incredible. Everything is wonderful-location, cleanliness, rooms, ambiance, food, customer service. If we ever get the chance to return to Rothenburg, we are most definitely staying here again.

My husband and I had a great stay at this hotel. Definitely more of a bed and breakfast type feel. Staff were all very kind and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised (and thankful) that all the staff spoke English very well. Great experience! Highly recommend!

This is a cosy old style hotel with fantastic location. We came in last in the afternoon and still had plenty of time to stroll the coble stone streets.

Got one of the familly rooms with a gorgeous view on the courtyard / tower. Friendly staff and great breakfast! Must visit the sausage shop Erich Trumpp for excellent sausages to pair with some wine in your room! And do the night watchmans walk for a good laugh and a little history. My room was quite big and clean. It isn't the best hotel in Rothenburg but is very near to the industrial area and i went go work on foot. Good breakfast and reception.

Cute little room in the most magical location just behind the famous spot for photos, and just a few blocks from the town square. Downstairs is a superb burger joint owned by the same people ~ which actually doubles as the reception! A little confusing at first, but once you figure it out, they're super nice. :)

I recommend this place if you only travel fast close train station and town.

I can only comment about the restaurant: the food was good, a bit above average portion sizes, and an absolutely fair price. Nice place for family with kids. On a Friday night the restaurant was lively and several people were gathered to play chess.

We stayed 2021 at that place for two nights to explore Rotenburg in all of its glory. The location is good as you usually find a parking spot across the road. The hotel is rather old and so does the interior feel a bit outdated but nevertheless it was clean and fine to stay. We didn't try the restaurant so we can not say anything for or against it. The price is fair just don't expect amazing rooms...

Well!!!!!! We had a one night stay in this hotel, as we reach we went on the wrong door which was nothing wrong because it was our first time. The man at the reception came to receive us as we rang the bell and his expressions and body language was really rude. I booked this hotel last minute, and I was not disappointed. It is in a great location that is close to the parking that is right outside the wall. The room was a great size for the whole family. I'll definitely be back.

Great location! Rooms are nice... spacious and clean. Beds are comfortable. Bathtubs are a bit high. Take care if you travel in summer as rooms do not have air conditioning. Windows do open, but it can still be pretty warm in the room. Option for fans would be nice. The food here was very good also with great service.

Very friendly staff who is eager to help and explain the history of the hotel. It is a historical building so do not expect a lot. The beddings can be a bit more comfortable though. No aircon but it is indicated. Location is excellent right in the centre of the ancient town of Rothenburg. Parking is available which is a nice surprise.

What a beautiful town this hotel is in, very old and exquisite, our experience at the hotel was let down by the bathroom ( in our room anyway). I challenge anyone other than a 6 year old child to be able to comfortably use the toilet , it is jammed between the bath tub and the wall ,if it weren't so impossible to use to would have been hilarious

Me and friend stay here for one night, and we are very satisfied! Very central location, only one minute to the central square. The room is big and comfy and the bathroom is spacious and well decorated. The only one concern I have is regards the view from the windows. Our room is facing the wall of the neighboring building and there is not much to see. The peak is that there is zero-to-non noise though

Beautiful old hotel right in the middle of Rothenburg. If you want to envelop yourself in the culture and not stay at a 'Holiday Inn', this is the experience you want. Cozy little restaurant on site, with parking a few blocks away in a locked garage. Beautiful interior and exterior, comfortable rooms and beds. Walk anywhere you want to in town.

We had dinner here last night, it was a welcoming and warm experience. Loved it. Today we happened to pass by and I was urgent. The staff didn’t hesitate to allow me to use the bathroom even though I didn’t eat breakfast here. 😃

We had a good breakfast each morning and we ate dinner and had drinks at the hotel one night while we were there. Absolutely loved all aspects of the hotel. Beautiful historic building and we had the most gorgeous view of the church right outside our room window. The room was beautifully clean and bathroom modern. Breakfast was delicious and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The sauna facilities were also exceptional.

Lovely historic gasthof right in the centre of the old town. The single room was simple but perfect for my one night stay, and good value for the location. The inclusion of breakfast was an added bonus. I also ate dinner in the restaurant which served decent traditional Bavarian food and a great house beer.

A wonderful old hotel and a 10 second walk to the main square. A bit of a nightmare to get to their carpark if you're driving though. Had dinner there too and the food was typically Bavarian and very tasty. The staff were friendly and considering it's location I'd say it is good value for money

The hotel is located near downtown. The receptionist are kind, and the food is good, though there isn't much variety. The rooms are outdated; my room didn't have A/C , making it awful in the summer because it was too hot. I stayed only one night in room 7. The wifi was very slow. The room has a climatization problem. Even with all the heaters turned off, the room was very warm. I turned on the air conditioner and it was not answering the commands. I was freezing during the night. As most off German hotels, the blankets are very small. Maybe it's a good idea to ask for an extra one. The bathroom is very spacious

Location is perfect! Room had a fan and mini fridge, and our view was of the garden. There is a small indoor play space and a lounge with a beer vending machine. The restaurant is beautiful but our booth had spider webs, dust, and a dead spider on it. The room itself for dinner is gorgeous. I feel we paid about €50 too much, but the location is prime.

Good location. The room is good but not really practice. You can hear the toilet from the rooms above you. You cannot watch TV from your bed. There is no safety box. We considered that 500€++ for 2 nights was not worth. Breakfast was wonderful. The ladies at the breakfast were very friendly. Talk about being whisked into the past! Your behind the castle walls. Cute little city. I recommend getting there at night and walking around before the tour buses in the morning. It’s quiet and no cars. Bars all close early but you can get pictures with no one around.

Great location. Tidy room with a spacious bathroom. Good breakfast buffet in the morning. Nice enclosed garden area for having tea or cocktails. On a main street, but not in the busiest area so it is quiet. Easy walk to everywhere. Only negative was that there was a 1" step up from the bathroom to the bedroom with a somewhat sharp edge. It was a toe killer.
