Security - no peephole on the door to see through who’s there when the bell rings, simple key to open the door with no extra lock for extra safety. This is normally a standard. Rooms are located in a separate building with an automatic door so anyone can simply enter the building.

No slippers even upon request
No complimentary water nor water jar provided since tab water in Germany is safe to drink

Only provided 1 cotton kit for 2 people and no refilling after it has been used

Crowded and rather small wellness area in a separate building/despite booking in advance (but not their fault)

We had cafe menu , server was sooo kind and service was also good. Chocolate cake was very rich and if you order tea or coffee one sugar cookies is free. It is great place

Great overall experience. The deluxe rooms are spacious and beautiful. The restaurant is excellent. Only negative is that the Weinstube was used as overflow for the restaurant and therefore we were denied entry when we just wanted to enjoy a bottle of wine. I have never been told that we have to eat a meal to enjoy a bottle of wine in a Weinstube.

I had a lovely 2 night stay! The room was comfortable and i love the windows that open! The gentleman that assisted with car parking and my bags was great! Breakfast was tasty with a decent selection. Parking add 18€, if you want the ac turned on it’s 5€ per day. Also to note the hotel is right in the heart of the walled town so there is some noise outside, the windows block out a lot but if you’re extra sensitive keep note.

Fantastic hotel! So pretty and quaint in a lovely town, very near the main square. I wish we could have stayed longer than one night. Our bed was comfortable, and the room and bathroom were plenty spacious. Dinner and breakfast at the hotel were delicious, with large portions. The staff was friendly and spoke perfect English. I highly recommend staying here.

Great location in the heart of Rothenburg. Highly recommend purchasing the parking pass for their garage. Service was helpful and welcoming. Restaurant breakfasts and dinners were fabulous with friendly waitstaff. Loved the decor. Our rooms were in their other building which was more modern about 50 ft nearby. Communication with hotel was excellent.

Even on an extremely busy night during Christmas Market season, the staff gave us wonderful attention. We were completely pleased, and would stay here again. It's also nice having an attached restaurant - very handy!

Great location for Christmas markets! We stayed in December 2024 and we drove into the hotel road according to the hotels directions. We do not recommend driving to this hotel, they charge for parking (which makes sense because it’s challenging and limited) and it’s too difficult to navigate. We were not given instructions on how to get out of the old town/walled city and we got stuck and lost. If you take the train, the stay will be more pleasant! It’s a beautiful hotel and the rooms are spacious, the bathroom is gorgeous! The bier garden behind the hotel is a gorgeous winter market and we spent a lot of time there.

Very clean and up-to-date rooms. Good amount of space as well. The staff were very friendly and kind and the hotel is just beautiful inside and out. The spa was a much needed treat and the food at the restaurant was top quality. Lots to choose from for breakfast and the dinner was fantastic. Really would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting. We stayed in the nearby building and there was no problem with street noises or anything.

Location is great, clean, comfortable rooms and beds. Nice size bathroom and shower. Room finish and details were excellent. The breakfast was great. The food in the restaurant can be very good
The hotel / restaurant / beer garden etc..are very focused on turning tables to the detriment of guests hoping to enjoy a meal at a relaxing pace without staff hovering 5 feet away watching you eat and constantly attempting to clear the table or asking what else you need.

Hotel guests are 100% not welcome (confirmed twice by management on 2 separate days) to enjoy the beer garden unless you are eating a meal. You cannot have a beer or wine in the beer garden between the hours of 12-2pm or 6-9pm unless you are also eating a meal.

The above should be posted prominently on your hotel policy page so guests understand the limitations of their stay!!

The hotel/restaurant beer garden is the only location in Rothenburg I found during our 3.5 day stay where myself and other hotel guests were not welcome to simply enjoy a local beer or wine in the beer garden.... Myself and other hotel guests had no problems at any other hotel / restaurant / beer garden. We were warmly welcomed...just not at the hotel we were guests at.
