The price/quality is excellent! I travel a lot for work so I can judge this well. Comfortable bed and good pillow. Despite the central location, it is very quiet. The breakfast was delicious, the choice was adequate

very nice receptionist. despite the lack of a free room, it was possible to communicate in English

Also this year we booked ourselves into the four star Michel Hotel Suhl for a week. We were particularly impressed by this hotel, which is located in the city centre on the beautiful Herrenteich

The chef, who is actually only responsible for the breakfast buffet, which has been excellent for many years, spoiled us and our guests with a superb multi-course star menu on the evening of our anniversary

Even when booking, I was offered a parking space right at the entrance, as I was disabled, and we were also able to book our favourite room right opposite the lift and with a view of the Herrenteich without any problems

Very convenient location, city center, easy to get to. I can only rate the restaurant. Waiting time was 30 minutes (full restaurant) and the menu is very small but nice. You can get your money's worth here

Stayed here 1 night for work purposes, staff were very friendly and spoke good English. Food in the restaurant was very nice and all good prices. The room was very clean and had everything you needed

Really good location if arriving to Suhl by train as it is right in front of the station. Breakfast is nice and simple with fruits available. Room was nice and spacious, wish there was AC but those are rare in Germany.

Suhl sounds like a good name for an evil wizard. The best hotel stay I've had in ages. Nothing fancy, but everything just worked as it should. You need your chip to work the lift

Young boy, I am stranded here because I had a flat tire. Price performance is okay but not great. I don't know when my bathroom mirror was last cleaned in my room, but maybe too high standards for you who knows

When you took a shower there were still any names on the mirror that you could see about the condensation / steam that of course makes me think how clean the rest is

The rooms all have working air conditioners which seems rare in Europe. I would recommend this hotel

Kitchen is good (lovely medium-rare ribeye). Gym needs to be refurbished, I suggest to change the old unmaintained cardio machines

The parking lot is very close to the hotel From the hotel you are quickly in the village of Suhl or on the motorway. I can only recommend the hotel

The Stadt Suhl restaurant has been a good address for many years. Lovingly furnished and very cozy. The food offer is always excellent. No matter whether you come with your family, as a group or to a celebration

A great getaway stay for some quiet in the mountain forest. It was full of snow and fog when we stayed there but even then, we could see that it would be beautiful in summer. It's romantic in its rustic way

Not a big problem for us but if traveling with elderly or planning a day indoors, check with hotel for restaurant dinner availability before booking. All in all, a lovely stay and I would love to try it out in summer :)

More than enough storage wardrobe space for belongings and shoes. The rooms also come with a long shared balcony, so I imagine spring and summer, it is really nice staying here

The food and service were rather good for a really acceptable price. The environment in the restaurant is not that nice. Kind of dated and not very nicely decorated.

The stay was fine but there was no fridge in the room and it not even very spacious. Heater was even not working in the middle of the night. Overall, good experience if these things get improve it will be much better

Standard rooms are not very big but adequate the bathroom is however very small, at the cleanliness there is nothing to complain about. Beautiful and well-kept wellness area

Both have been very pleasant experiences, and here are a few reasons why: - Oberhof is a lovely place with wonderful nature and many hiking opportunities - the staff are genuinely friendly and accommodating to all requests you might have - the pool has a great view (the pictures are quite realistic) and the spa is also worth mentioning - the food is great - both in variety and quality - free tea is...

Our room was fantastic (especially the bathroom) and the hotel had all the elements one expects in a spa town (pool, sauna, massage options, wellness treatments etc)

We were particularly impressed with the breakfast (the best of the five hotels we stayed in) and the helpfulness of the staff

Having done that, we were then told our room was in another building, so we had to retrace our steps and then negotiate further stairs to get into the other building

Our only complaint (and it is significant) is that to get to the lobby you had to carry your suitcase up a significant number of stairs

Why on earth were there no ramps? Other than that, a nice experience in a great location

Modern rooms with very comfortable beds. Nice bathrooms with good water pressure. (we were on the top floor) Beautiful classic style building with antique style dining room. Both breakfast and dinner were exquisite

(we did not use their lunch option) Spa is top class, and the swimming pool one of the best I’ve seen. Not very deep but clean natural water. (No chlorine) Area is beautiful for taking hikes and enjoying nature

Excellent historic location to visit during your Thuringian Forest trip. We enjoyed the food (especially wild pork) and beer very much!

Big recommendation is hiking up to “Gaststatte Kickelhahn” where lunch is great and the view from the watchtower is spectacular. Would recommend for anyone looking for a high quality relaxed getaway 👌

My single room was big enough and well furnished. The breakfast was up to standard. The cassette is big, but I couldn't test the kitchen, I had already eaten. The service was quick and friendly and the beer was tasty.

The staff is helpful to a fault, the food delicious, even the alternatives of restrictive diets which are all taken into account, and the rooms are a delight to sleep in. The only shock was having to eat dinner at 6p

The facilities are equipped with everything one might need, including oft used foosball and ping pong tables, swings and a trampoline which must have felt lonely in the cold damp weather

I attended a 12-day seminar there with 70+ participants and it never felt crowded or uncomfortable. I had a wonderful time and would happily attend other events in this centre

We booked a night from yesterday to today because we had to attend a funeral. The host was extremely nice, the room very clean and the bed extremely comfortable (firm mattress, but we like that)

The decor of the room was great, a small coffee machine, water and a minibar were available. The price / performance ratio was also great, we really felt we were in very good hands and will definitely come back

This hotel is clean, quiet, and comfortable with good food. It is somewhat dated, but to me that adds to its charm.

They have some sort of dispenser for soap, am not expert in hotels so can't tell if this is common or not but I rather have like in the Munich hotel a personal soap/bar

Okay, so I found my room really cute. It was small, but incredibly cozy. The great thing here is of this Breakfast room is on the roof with a 360 degree balcony and a fantastic view

We were with our granddaughter from October 26th to October 30th. So, we were absolutely satisfied with the staff, the equipment, which of course was older, but comfortable

The breakfast have always been very broad and beautiful made. The buffet is also quite filling and has lots of things to try. Especially the cheese and grilled veggies. Good place for work retreats or meetings etc

It's an amazing place. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Food is very good and all facilities are very nice. The only critism. The pool table needs a bit of tlc. The gym is very small and limited.

At least the rooms that I have stayed in have been very nice with good views. The bed is super comfy and I could sleep very deeply. Also had complimentary water tea coffee

And as far as I know: all Dutch people were very happy with the hotel and this lovely week. O yes: all the attention for driving fast and curves: I don't like that. Next year a group slower then the slowest this year

If you don't mind: in English (or Dutch. ) It was my second time in Hotel Rennsteig. The place itself, the garage for my bike, the rooms both times, the food, the people who work there

On the Werra-located small Hotel with short way to the Theater, free Wi-Fi, and the staff are very friendly, have been 4 times to guest and come and enjoy delicious Breakfast with sausage specialties of the Region, and the chief brought the Luggage to the room

The small swimming pool is beautiful with great views and there is a very nice games room. The location is good for people who like it very quiet and remote (a little too quiet for us)
