The price/quality is excellent! I travel a lot for work so I can judge this well. Comfortable bed and good pillow. Despite the central location, it is very quiet. The breakfast was delicious, the choice was adequate

very nice receptionist. despite the lack of a free room, it was possible to communicate in English

Also this year we booked ourselves into the four star Michel Hotel Suhl for a week. We were particularly impressed by this hotel, which is located in the city centre on the beautiful Herrenteich

The chef, who is actually only responsible for the breakfast buffet, which has been excellent for many years, spoiled us and our guests with a superb multi-course star menu on the evening of our anniversary

Even when booking, I was offered a parking space right at the entrance, as I was disabled, and we were also able to book our favourite room right opposite the lift and with a view of the Herrenteich without any problems

Very convenient location, city center, easy to get to. I can only rate the restaurant. Waiting time was 30 minutes (full restaurant) and the menu is very small but nice. You can get your money's worth here

All the staff we met were extremely friendly and professional. I don't speak any German (typical British person!) but most of the staff spoke some English. I had an excellent sleep on a very comfortable bed

The food in the restaurant was excellent, but they do not have English menus, so Google translate came in very handy! Large, safe car park at the back of the hotel. Ignore the old reviews, this place is wunderbar!

Really good location if arriving to Suhl by train as it is right in front of the station. Breakfast is nice and simple with fruits available. Room was nice and spacious, wish there was AC but those are rare in Germany.

Nice hotel with good service. Good food in the restaurant. Free ironing of shirts for business guests which was a very good surprise.

Suhl sounds like a good name for an evil wizard. The best hotel stay I've had in ages. Nothing fancy, but everything just worked as it should. You need your chip to work the lift

Young boy, I am stranded here because I had a flat tire. Price performance is okay but not great. I don't know when my bathroom mirror was last cleaned in my room, but maybe too high standards for you who knows

A great getaway stay for some quiet in the mountain forest. It was full of snow and fog when we stayed there but even then, we could see that it would be beautiful in summer. It's romantic in its rustic way

Not a big problem for us but if traveling with elderly or planning a day indoors, check with hotel for restaurant dinner availability before booking. All in all, a lovely stay and I would love to try it out in summer :)

More than enough storage wardrobe space for belongings and shoes. The rooms also come with a long shared balcony, so I imagine spring and summer, it is really nice staying here

This hotel is clean, quiet, and comfortable with good food. It is somewhat dated, but to me that adds to its charm.

They have some sort of dispenser for soap, am not expert in hotels so can't tell if this is common or not but I rather have like in the Munich hotel a personal soap/bar

Great Hotel. Here you can meet the old style of living. The „smell „ of this hotel transport you back with centuries, you can fill the life from now 200 years ago.

Bed was big and nice though myself I would have preferred firmer mattress

I loved the place and the food. Also the service was perfect by the waiter named Mustafa, from Kosofo, he was so friendly and welcoming.

The breakfast have always been very broad and beautiful made. The buffet is also quite filling and has lots of things to try. Especially the cheese and grilled veggies. Good place for work retreats or meetings etc

It's an amazing place. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Food is very good and all facilities are very nice. The only critism. The pool table needs a bit of tlc. The gym is very small and limited.

At least the rooms that I have stayed in have been very nice with good views. The bed is super comfy and I could sleep very deeply. Also had complimentary water tea coffee

And as far as I know: all Dutch people were very happy with the hotel and this lovely week. O yes: all the attention for driving fast and curves: I don't like that. Next year a group slower then the slowest this year

If you don't mind: in English (or Dutch. ) It was my second time in Hotel Rennsteig. The place itself, the garage for my bike, the rooms both times, the food, the people who work there

I don't understand the people who have comment on the food: for me it was perfect, served by friendly people. So: next time again, I hope with more Dutch people (11 this time)

Great location for this beautiful hotel, room was good but we didn’t spend much time there. It was more the pool and spa area that caught our attention for this one

There are many additional deals like Segway rental or Packed Lunches for hikes. The place Tabarz is very small and quiet, but the ideal base to explore the Thuringian forest. The room is for four stars is sufficient

Great place to stay. Rooms are big and cozy, with lot of facilities and services. The place itself has a unique style and the surrounding area is ideal for walks or a hiking.

we stayed in the "Landhaus" part of the hotel and loved every minute of our stay here and regret a little bit that we did not stay longer. The hotel and the room was lovely decorated, it was warm, very cosy

Best Hotel in Gotha. I love the place because service and facility are very good. Like every hotel this one wins through its people. We had breakfast there which was extensive, rich and varied.

Stayed in a Junior Suite which had a large living space, bathroom & bedroom. The bar has had a recent refurbishment - nice outdoor terrace to enjoy a drink or food

Such a fantqstic experience staying at this hotel. The staff were very very friendly, well turned out, happy and genuinely happy in their work. My wife and Ibfelt totally at home, and we are already planning our return.

In the evening a personalized menu, in the morning a general flyer with the weather, a nice saying and excursion tips. And the food was really tasty, every plate was decorated with a little cress, mint, patterns of sauce

The hotel was very close to down town, walking distance. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was very good and a lot of options. Coffee, cappuccino and juices were available too

The fan would not turn on so had to keep the window open all night. Breakfast was good however I wish they changed it up a bit. I was there for 5 nights and the only thing that changed was the flavor of the yogurt

My only complaint was that I was so hungry when I got in late and was told that I could get pizza at the bar. I went to the bar which was deserted but still during opening hours and there was no staff manning it

Nice, clean hotel that was located conveniently close to town and to the train station. Bed was comfortable, walls were quite thin as I could hear my neighbor yelling at his football team well into the night

I have stayed at this hotel twice on business and it is the most satisfying hotel in Germany. The view from the top floor windows is fantastic
