The rooms are nice and the breakfast is okay.
However, on the day of our arrival, I received a call at 4 p.m. asking when we would be arriving. Since the reception is supposedly staffed until 6 p.m. and we planned to arrive around 5:30 p.m., I didn't understand this and found it inappropriate. I think the employee simply wanted to leave work early and therefore put pressure on us.
We wanted to relax and unwind for two days and perhaps spend some time in our room reading, etc., due to the weather. This wasn't possible because, immediately after breakfast around 10 a.m., a construction crew made such a racket with drills, hammers, and other tools that we fled outside. When I asked the concierge how long the noise would last, she simply replied, with a bored expression, that they would probably be working until about 4:30 p.m. The hotel was currently only 30% full, and therefore these were the cheapest days…without a flicker of apology, not a hint of regret.
Had we known this beforehand, we would have stayed elsewhere, without a doubt. A very rude and inconsiderate way to treat guests.
This was our first and last visit to this hotel.
We liked the opportunity to sit on the ground floor in the evening with a glass of wine, etc.
We had a small balcony and from there we could even see a little bit of the Baltic Sea, which was about a 3-minute walk away. Breakfast was great, the room was small but nice, we didn't have enough space in the bathroom to put something down. The beds were great!
The location and distance on foot to get to the city center or the harbor was pleasant. We would be happy to come back.
