ATLANTIC Grand Hotel Travemünde in Travemunde

Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was very good and staff were extremely friendly! Everything was close by; only a few steps to the promenade. We had a great vacation time and will be back.

Excellent breakfast. Very quiet Hotel. Thank you for the wonderful weekend. We will come back another week-end for a stay near the baltic sea. If you want tot stay in a classic grand hotel, the Atlantic is your choice.

Great place, very nice employees. The food was great and so was the drinks. We rented an apartment and it was nice as well.

I stayed at the Atlantic Grande having arrived on the evening ferry and not wishing to drive on in the dark. Since it was a rather late booking, the room rate was expensive, and even slightly more than I had been quoted, since they added on 15 € for car parking. The hotel is in a beautiful, grand historic building, with spacious interiors but a hint of slightly faded luxury (e.g. grubby carpets). The arrival clerk was reasonably efficient but rather charmless, initially seeming to suspect me of being an intruder rather than a late-arriving customer. I was given a voucher for a free non-alcoholic welcome drink at the bar, a bit of a strange concept. The room and bedding were comfortable, though there was no chair for the desk. The stand-out item was the breakfast, a fabulous buffet to suit all tastes, everything fresh and of high quality, and looking out over the shore, either from inside the breakfast room or out on the terrace. There was even a special vegan section offering plant-based charcuterie and pâtés. The word fabulous is used on some hotel booking sites to mean ‘just about ok’, but I feel it applies literally in this case. On balance, a mixed picture. The hotel is probably best suited to couples in search of a romantic getaway, dreaming nostalgically of the heady delights of yesteryear.

This is an attractive old-style hotel with wide wooden staircase, high ceilings and grand seafront view. As you climb the stairs squeak in a low tone. We walked to our room through a sinuous corridor. It was quiet, beautifully furnished and the bathroom spacious.
The swimming pool was empty, music was playing, water splashing against the walls. Nearby were four saunas, according to everybody's preference.
Breakfast was rich with excellent espresso and a small glass of mango juice as a treat. While we ate we looked at the sea and ships in the distance. After the abundant breakfast it's advisable to go out for a stroll down on the beach and thread over numerous footprints and imprints of dogs' paws. Seagulls were contemplating on a pier. Most probably about their next meal.

Not just staying in a first-class hotel, but experiencing moments of pure relaxation and unforgettable excellence and hospitality. This is exactly what we experienced during our visit to the Atlantic. Many thanks to the entire team there for the wonderful stay, from reception to restaurant service to bar and also kitchen we were always very accommodating and warmly cared for! A booking there is for us always an invitation to pamper ourselves and enjoy life to the fullest. CarpeDiem :-)

This was our main stay of our German road trip so we splashed out on the hotel and to upgrade our room and was not disappointed . The hotel is in a great location on the seafront promenade and is an easy 20 minute walk to the old town centre. The room was spacious with a great indoor seating area and also a patio. Spotlessly clean. It’s a grand old hotel. Staff were excellent, all friendly and polite. Breakfast buffet was extensive and all good quality. Parking was easy, albeit a tad on the expensive side. Big gardens to sit in if you so wish. Plenty of space at end of September but guess it could be busy in peak season. Easy drive to Lubeck to visit or you could bus or train it although the railway was under repair at our time of visit. The bar and restaurant have great views over the promenade/beach/sea. If we ever travel this way again would stay here and will look at other hotels in the group for our next German trip.
