Where to stay in Trier

Nice hotel right off of the road with a Aldi close by. Right on the outskirts of Trier Centrum which is nice. Hotel was clean and spacious. And I appreciated the fact that I could take my dog!!!!

We've been here multiple times. Lovely hotel, nice modern decor, bit far away from the old citycentre but next to the Mosel-river. Friendly reception, good breakfast, great bed and good sized rooms.

The entrance area and reception area were very inviting, the greetings at the reception desk on each shift were very good. The hotel has been completely modernized and the company appears to have invested well. If it weren't for 1971 in the elevator, you'd think it was 2020, so cool. The only drawback is that there were no Gur tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese or olives for breakfast.

Proper 4 star hotel. For business trips it is missing is same-day laundry service. It's more of a 36-hour laundry service. At breakfast i miss a menu of what is orderable, as well as hashbrowns/other potato based dish. However there is a large variety of other things. There is even a vegan corner!

We had a perfect stay at the Park Plaza Trier, definitely one of the best hotels I've been to 😊 the room was amazing, breakfast was delicious with a wide choice, the staff was super friendly and very helpful, the wellness was super relaxing, so all in all a perfect hotel that I would return to anytime 😍

Excellent service! I was not a guest but it was bloody hot outside and I parked my motorcycle in front of the hotel. I had some sumnerclothes with me but not enough room in my back case. The hotelstaff was very kind and I could store some stuff at the counter and have a nive day in Trier.

Nice hotel for a short stay, minus points for the broken air-conditioning that heated the room up regardless of the setting during our 2 night stay and still wasn't fixed when we left. Breakfast selection was good but distance between tables was way too small and made for an uncomfortable almost claustrophobic feeling that was not at all in line with COVID safe distancing recommendations.

Great stay, very comfortable, loved the part where you got a surprise when you didnt need your room cleaned. Great initiative! Only downside was that the restaurant was closed which is not stated on the website, and at check in desk I was told they didn't have a restaurant but the next day walking past reception desk heard another employee inform guests that the restaurant was closed.

A refurbisheded hotel a 15-minute walk from central Trier. Public parking is available 200 meters away opposite the hotel where parking is quite cheap. Super friendly and helpful staff will help you upon arrival. Large and clean rooms and breakfast is plentiful with everything you would expect to find. If you don't mind a short walk to reach downtown this is great value for money.

It was a very nice hotel, very friendly staff and excellent rooms and a sumptuous breakfast. It is highly recommended.

Been here just for a weekend, feeling like a week of relaxed holidays. Super kind personnel reading your wishes just from your eyes. Nice view over the town of Trier (if they only could replace the police build g with something more nicer...). Take the chance to swim in the sky pool and have a massage! We will return, regularly.

I stayed for 4 nights, alone for a business trip. Great experience. The staff is extremely friendly. The location is fantastic. Clean. Neat. All the best recommendations. I had a late check-in at 1am and everything went smoothly.

An okay hotel. I choose it because parking is easy, and the location is convenient. However, the rooms are dull, and cleanliness is often unsatisfactory. I frequently encounter hair in the bathroom. On the positive side, the staff is friendly, and the breakfast is good.

Excellent hotel, as expected from Mercure. The room was clean and welcoming. Good view. Service was okay but not excellent. The hotel restaurant opens from 17:00 so just dinner. Excellent location for tourists. The rooms are not soundproofed but understandable due to its old building. Overall a great place to stay for a night or two for travel.

We appreciated the location of the hotel which is opposite Porta Nigra. The underground parking makes the stay very convenient for us. It would be even better if there were electric vehicle chargers. The location of the hotel is in the heart of the action and you can walk to most attractions. There are several excellent restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The breakfast at the hotel is also excellent.

Business trip where we made use of the LOFT which was perfect for an all day meeting. Lunch was very good served in the restaurant as was breakfast. My room was well equipped, quiet and bed comfortable. Location is good as we explored the city in the evening. Excellent friendly staff.

Best rooms hotel located inside park

The place had a nice feel about it.was clean and food was excellent. Most of the staffvwent over and above.

Food and service were OK, but nothing to write home about. Seasoning of the tartar and also the sauces of the mains were a bit too strong and overloaded the taste of the meat/fish instead of just supporting it.

Not recommended for international tourists as most of staff doesn't speak English and they always approach you in German. The room was decent. Beds were comfy but double bed is just two single beds standing together which has its downsides. Bathroom was ok but lacked light - it was really dark there. Overall the room could use some cleaning - it was rather dusty. Most of the food we tried felt way...

The food is simply great! Also the personnel is very friendly and often even thinks ahead. We had a beautiful day with our children, visiting the restaurant with the huge park.

Very good place, excellent service. A few things still need renovating, such as binding doors and spotty carpets. But it seems they're in the process of doing just that.

Visited again this year. Up to it's normal high standard although the room was cold, AC didn't seem to heat the room but we take our own fan heater for such emergencies so the room became toasty warm. Travelling in winter always pack our own heater. Breakfast is good. Car parking is paid. There are options on parking.

The location, right next to the train station and the bus station, is wonderful. Because Trier is a rather small city, everything is in walking distance. The room was perfect for my needs: it was clean, had free wifi, TV, even a free small bottle of wine. The bed was comfortable, not too soft, not too hard. A very nice staff! Above all, we really liked the quiet at breakfast because it wasn't overcrowded! The rooms were spot on too! We think the bathroom with a window is great! Although only one night booked, but a warm welcome. The location to the hospital in Trier and to the centre of Trier is very good. In particular, the window had it done to us. We had a room under the roof (gable). Also feng shui was seen. We come back to shape from there.

It's good if you know you get what you pay for. The rooms are clean and functional. But no storage options whatsoever, so you have to live out of your suitcase. The only hot option at breakfast is a hardboiled egg, no scrambled eggs. The birchermueslu is good on the other hand. Breakfast buffet area does get a bit crowded and is maybe not suitable for the amount of people.

We were pleasantly surprised by the location of the hotel. Even though we had to search a little bit to find the parking with the roadworks in progress. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The maxi-bar was a daily stop and the free coffee/tea and apples were much appreciated. Rooms were clean and spacious.

This hotel covered everything we wanted to do on the trip. The location was perfect. Easy access to the center, a gas station store across the street so you can buy some supplies.
