Our stay at "Zum Schwanen" was amazing! The huge free parking just a few steps away on Schwanenplatz was a great convenience. The staff was incredibly helpful, and Christian went above and beyond, accommodating our special requests and providing extra storage for our equipment. Super nice guy and great chef!

My stay was great. Good room, service, rates and location (spend a few days doing meetings in Cologne and region). Surely will consider for future trips.

Nice hotel. The only drawback is the waiter who is not present all the time: if you arrive early, you will have to call him by phone.

We had an excellent stay at Zum Schwanen and can only recommend it. Nice clean rooms and good food in the restaurant.

Outstanding cleanliness, very friendly staff and uncomplicated check in/out. The price was reasonable for a single room without breakfast booked on the very same day. What I did not like was the outdated toilet ( but perfectly functioning ) and the old carpet with apparent spots.

Great service. Nice breakfast. Clean and comfortable rooms. Only thing keeping from a 5 star review was that there was no English tv stations, very uncommon even in Germany.

The room was too cold even with the heater at max. Last order at the restaurant 9.30. Clean rooms, nice people at the front desk and restaurant. Very good fresh beer.

This hotel was perfect for me as a foreigner visiting a friend. I loved my room and the view was amazing. I would have liked a bar fridge. The brau was great, it has a lovely atmosphere and pretty, attentive waitresses :) The food was plentiful and the beer was great! The value for money was among the best I've ever experienced in 13 years of being a regular traveller. If ever I revisit Remscheid...

A small rather cute hotel. The standard is more on a 2 star than the stated 3 star level but still okay. The staff is friendly and breakfast standard with no thrills. The wifi is one of the worst I have encountered... impossible to work as it is on/off every few minutes...

This is a really really good hotel. It’s surrounded by nature, but still located 100 m from the Autobahn. But you can’t hear the cars at all. You can go for a walk/run around the lake, you can drink a beer or eat som food or you can just come there to get some good sleep. The breakfast is good and you will not leave hungry or disappointed in the morning. I can’t even remember how many times I’ve stayed...

Nice and newly renovated rooms. Perfect location on the way home to Denmark. Just next to a beautiful lake where you can walk or run around the lake.

Loved it. Stayed there only one night and very shortly. bed was amazingly good and fluffy, breakfast was awesome! They don't have pancakes in the menu but i love pancakes, so they did it specially for me. So sweet! 😍 Stuff is very helpful and dog was not a problem 😊

A small pearl in the Bergisches Land. The dishes, the Service and the Location have consistently a high level. The atmosphere is relaxed and bergisch hospitable. Who is on the trip, the nice rooms are recommended, which are modeled in the style of famous personalities.

A lot about this hotel is very nice - the breakfast and the wellness area for example. They are perfect also for the price. Some of the staff are also very nice, some are not very friendly or observing the wish for privacy in the rooms. The setting within nature is very pretty. We will come back.

It is a good place for conferences/ retreats especially nice during summer. There is a hiking trail nearby and makes you feel closer to nature. The approach road is narrow so heavy vehicles like buses will not be able to reach. The walking distance from main roads is about 1km.

Rooms and service were great, though English speaking servers were not very common. Location is extremely secluded, and the cellular and wifi services were nearly unusable. Front desk also did not carry razor blades for shaving.

I was here for a 2 day training . I shared a double room with my wife on the last floor . The hotel is located in a really idyllic place, you drive on a narrow road through the forest and then at some point this very big Castle like structure .

Very good location: 30min away from Cologne by car, in the middle of the mountains and near a beautiful lake. It's the perfect place to escape from the city from a weekend and enjoy the beauty of nature... Plus, the staff is very nice and the breakfast (a buffet) is very good. My room was comfy and extremely clean, and I loved the view on the garden. I highly recommend!

Nice place in a refurbished countryside Manor. The restaurant is highly recommended. However rooms are scattered in the forest: I needed a car ride to reach my room from the reception!

Difficult to rate this one. Its somewhere between 3 and 4. I thought the room and bathroom were a bit dated. Could really do with being refurbished. Really didn't like the pillows. We had a nice overnight stay in the Hotel Alt Lennep after a bike tour through the Bergisch. We received a very warm welcome and were even allowed to park our bikes in a garage protected from the rain. The staff was very helpful. The rooms were very clean, cozy and rustic. The breakfast was simple but good and from the hotel you can quickly reach the pretty center of Lennep. We would love to come back

My biggest complaints (as an American) are: the parking is very hard to spot, the entrance for any non-compact car is very narrow, and the road is undergoing construction that makes it hard to find the way to the hotel. Overall,a good experience at this hotel.

Class Hotel The price-performance ratio fits absolutely. Directly in front of the Hotel free Parking spaces are sufficiently available. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very clean. Very nice notalgisches Design and very beautiful historical building from the 18th century. Jahrjundert. Apparently, it is just newly renovated, but a trip to the village of Remscheid seems to be worth it. Friendly staff and a good Breakfast await you there.Very recommend value.

Stayed here on a business trip. For business purposes it was fine. It is not near downtown so you will need to drive or take taxis to most places. Rooms were clean and fairly large for European standards but a bit basic. Large tvs but only one channel in English and they have locked the settings so you can’t enable subtitles which was frustrating. However the hallway floors are not carpeted so they...

Well deserved 4 stars for this hidden gem. I’m not sure when they did a full makeover but everything looks really crisp. Beds are perfect, rooms are nice for both work and leisure visits. Also breakfast is really good with a rich assortment of foods and freshly pressed oranges. I will try the bar later this week.
