Our stay at "Zum Schwanen" was amazing! The huge free parking just a few steps away on Schwanenplatz was a great convenience. The staff was incredibly helpful, and Christian went above and beyond, accommodating our special requests and providing extra storage for our equipment. Super nice guy and great chef!

My stay was great. Good room, service, rates and location (spend a few days doing meetings in Cologne and region). Surely will consider for future trips.

Nice hotel. The only drawback is the waiter who is not present all the time: if you arrive early, you will have to call him by phone.

A small rather cute hotel. The standard is more on a 2 star than the stated 3 star level but still okay. The staff is friendly and breakfast standard with no thrills. The wifi is one of the worst I have encountered... impossible to work as it is on/off every few minutes...

A lot about this hotel is very nice - the breakfast and the wellness area for example. They are perfect also for the price. Some of the staff are also very nice, some are not very friendly or observing the wish for privacy in the rooms. The setting within nature is very pretty. We will come back.

It is a good place for conferences/ retreats especially nice during summer. There is a hiking trail nearby and makes you feel closer to nature. The approach road is narrow so heavy vehicles like buses will not be able to reach. The walking distance from main roads is about 1km.

Rooms and service were great, though English speaking servers were not very common. Location is extremely secluded, and the cellular and wifi services were nearly unusable. Front desk also did not carry razor blades for shaving.

I was here for a 2 day training . I shared a double room with my wife on the last floor . The hotel is located in a really idyllic place, you drive on a narrow road through the forest and then at some point this very big Castle like structure .

Very nice notalgisches Design and very beautiful historical building from the 18th century. Jahrjundert. Apparently, it is just newly renovated, but a trip to the village of Remscheid seems to be worth it. Friendly staff and a good Breakfast await you there.Very recommend value.

We stayed here for 9 nights and really enjoyed the hotel. The room was good, had a closet for clothes, no drawers, room was spacious, bed comfortable, staff were great. The only thing is their Buffett breakfast is too expensive, 17.50 Euro per person. There is a bakery up the street behind the church, it had some great breakfast sandwiches, so we chose to eat there. I like this hotel very much. It is quiet, clean, well-equipped, and has delicious breakfast. There is a concert hall at the door. I was lucky enough to come across a concert there. Unfortunately, I couldn't understand it, but the tune was pure European classical music.

Rooms are clean but facilities are basic, and, on a cold night, wind whistles under the entrance door, if the toilet door is not tightly locked. We stayed here for one night at the end of January on a visit to the theatre in Wuppertal. We'd chosen it for it's closeness to the Schwebebahn (suspended railway). Great hotel with very good proximity to the train station. We were only passing through Wuppertal for one day before flying out of Düsseldorf, but we were unexpectedly charmed by the city. The room was well-kept and very comfortable, and the breakfast was easily the best hotel breakfast we experienced on our trip.

Very clean and cozy hotel and friendly staff. Breakfast was extremely good for a more than ok price. Great location near everything, parking is just a 3 minutes walk. Only remark I can give is that the cocktails in the bar were rather expensive and not that great.

This is a clean MINIMAL hotel. It is impossible to get to with a car, we drove around and around then parked illegally to find out the parking situation. The parking is NOT FREE which we were told it would be and it the only reason we choose it.

My stay here was easily one of the best I have ever had at any hotel. Convenient location, situated downtown and nearby the main train station, shops, and restaurants. Very different. Well worth a visit. The outside looks dreadful but the rooms were immaculate, and the bathroom was a pleasure to use.

I was there to visit my parents staying there. So i can not say that much about service but i really liked the interior and the feeling and softness of the bed. They said the breakfast was okay but not great so only 4/5 Stars.

Lovely hotel in paradise. 10 minutes from city center and 10 minutes to highway. Lovely quiet rooms in the middle of nature. Only thing I would recommend mosquito screens to be installed to avoid those little devil's coming into the room in the summer time as hotel is next to river and mosquitoes love this area. The place was empty (but it is August...), yet we wanted to book again on the weekend and it was fully booked, I therefore strongly recommend a reservation (and probably a week ahead). For what you pay, it's amazing. Staff is patient and very kind. Breakfast is great and there is lots of variety. Everyone can have a good breakfast here. Even special options for vegan/gluten allergies. Including fresh fruits/eggs/bacon/sausage/breads(croissants, etc)/fruit jellys/yoghurts and much more. It's noticeable that the rooms aren't 5 stars. But they definitely are clean and well cared for...

The staff is very and accommodating. The hotel is dated even though the rooms appear to be recently renovated. But even though it is right off of the highway, it's in a quite location. Big plus is the breakfast was Vegan Friendly!

One Michelin-star restaurant--they have renewed it every year for quite a while now. Simply amazing dishes. They can also work with you to create a menu for a special event or occasion.

We booked the hotel because they have swimming pool. But when arrived was informed it’s broken and can’t use. If we knew in advance we wouldn’t book it. It would be nice to be informed in advance. But I should have also called and double check before booking it myself.

Each room had a unique decor mine was rock and roll with a Beatles Abbey Road plaque.

Great Stay! This hotel is like a hidden gem! We needed a halfway stop for a longer trip, and we are so glad we stayed here. The hotel is so interesting, comfortable, and clean. Our dogs were greeted with very nice dogs beds, dishes, and treats. The pool was a wonderful treat too!

The crew at Fettehenne was always nice and eager to help us in anything we needed. We went at what seemed to be the height of the pandemic, however we felt very safe with every rule that was in place. A highlight of our stay was definitely the use of the pool. Should have taken more care in investigating. There was no restaurant and no air conditioning which is fine if you are expecting it. Reception was pretty good although the language was limited. But basically it boils down to me not taking enough care to choose properly.

Das Personal ist so super freundlich, sowas hab ich eigentlich noch nie erlebt und ich reise sehr viel. Nach einem langen, anstrengen Tag wollten wir eigentich nur noch etwas essen und ins Bett. Die liebe Dame an der Rezeption hat für uns den Pizzadienst angerufen, uns Teller und Besteck zur Verfügung gestellt. Ganz ganz lieb. Für unsere Hunde war eine Decke und Napf bereitgestellt.

Everything was very clean. The bathroom was well stocked with toiletries. They had drinks available for normal prices. The woman working the front desk and the breakfast in the morning was incredibly friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend. I want it. Only complaint was that the room was kind of cold and the beds were a little uncomfortable but the pillows and blankets were very nice.

If life takes you to Bergisch Gladbach, then this is an excellent place to stay. Lovely rooms (some with French doors/terrace), very well appointed, comfortable beds, great breakfast, and a friendly and helpful welcome. One of the nicer small hotels I've stayed in.

This is a lovely little family run hotel, what makes it great is the owner, what a lovely man, check in/out was completely painless!!! It’s nice and quiet and in a really quiet area, we were travelling for the euro 24 football and it provided us with everything we needed. We didn’t opt for breakfast but the owner very kindly made us coffee free of charge before we headed out

Very friendly staff, hotelrooms were pretty and clean. Breakfast looked good, parking right in front of the hotel. Only small remark is: the walls are thin so we could hear when people would make noice or talk loudly. But besides that, perfect. Would go again.
