Children up to and including 5 years old stay for free when using an existing bed.
Children from 6 years old to 17 years old stay for € 35 per person per night when using an existing bed.
People 2 years old and over stay for € 35 per person per night when using an available extra bed.
Any type of extra bed or child's cot/crib is upon request and needs to be confirmed by management.

Combined hotel and restaurant in relatively refurbished set of buildings at the edge of the Altstadt, very well located for the railway station and castle. Our room was not large but was modern and comfortable, and very well insulated against sound. There was a safe but, as far as we could see, no air conditioning. The breakfast buffet was extensive. Reception is not manned 24 hours per day which makes check-in before 15.00 hrs difficult. The semi-detached relationship between hotel and restaurant was a bit difficult to get to grips with. Thus though the restaurant staff treated us as normal for breakfast -- albeit being very anxious not to say bossy, about where we sat -- during the rest of the day they treated us as if they had not seen us before and being (overly) insistent on prior booking.

A nice hotel with amazing rooms. I do though reccomend that you check in before 20:00, later than that can make it a little troublesome.

The hotel is situated on the northeast end of Breite Straße, the main street of Wernigerode and it is not far from the main train station. The room is comfortable but the room window is facing the hotel inner courtyard which is also used as the outdoor dining area for the hotel restaurant so it can be a little bit noisy in the early evening but it is all quiet at night. Wi-fi is good. I like the breakfast here. There are several selections to choose from, both hot and cold items. The hotel reception access is on Grüne Straße which is a side street off Breite Straße but in the morning it can be difficult to find a staff at the reception.

The hotel room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The parking lot is a little far away, but it is safe because it is surrounded by a gate. Loading and unloading of luggage can be done on the street parking, so there is no problem. We also ate dinner at the restaurant. The schnitzel was wonderful and delicious.

Friendly guest house in the middle of town with traditional dining. Good food. Great rooms. Not so great beds.

The location of the hotel on the edge of the old town is of course very positive! The rooms are newly renovated and clean.
Breakfast a disaster though! Cheapest rolls of a single kind, bread sliced in masses and from the previous days, cheeses slapped in a pile carelessly on a plate, so that it sticks together so that it is difficult to get the slices apart. Nothing is refilled anymore. The quality of the food cheap packaged goods. The coffee that is in warming jugs at the table tastes horrible. If you want a different type of coffee, you have to pay € 2 extra for it. That is not how it works.
And if you are still sitting at the table as a group 5 minutes after 10 am, you will be kicked out.
Another visit is definitely out of the question!
