Basically everything's good, but a few things could be improved. Otherwise, everything's okay.

No sauna, it was closed... It wasn't indicated anywhere on the booking site. We booked this hotel because of the sauna!

This hotel is just off the city centre and hauptbahnhof, next to the local theatre. Rooms are clean but facilities are basic, and, on a cold night, wind whistles under the entrance door, if the toilet door is not tightly locked. Restaurant was closed in the evening due to staff shortages. Similar situation repeated in 'their' swimming pool, which was advertised as available but appeared to be located...

My favorite hotel!!! I often stay at this hotel due to business in the area. I am feeling like my second home now. All the staff are wonderful!! All the reception team all the restaurant staff and of course the cleaners !! all staff are wonderful and welcoming. I love the soups at the restaurant and the great breakfast, I enjoy working at the lobby area with the comfortable sofas and the ladies...

For what you pay, it's amazing. Staff is patient and very kind. Breakfast is great and there is lots of variety. Everyone can have a good breakfast here. Even special options for vegan/gluten allergies. Including fresh fruits/eggs/bacon/sausage/breads(croissants, etc)/fruit jellys/yoghurts and much more. It's noticeable that the rooms aren't 5 stars. But they definitely are clean and well cared for...

Good place,clean and easy to find

The staff is very and accommodating. The hotel is dated even though the rooms appear to be recently renovated. But even though it is right off of the highway, it's in a quite location. Big plus is the breakfast was Vegan Friendly!

It was clean, service was good and I enjoyed the German Breakfast a lot. When I visit my brother again, I will stay there again.

Nice hotel and nice employee's that are also nice to loud customers and a good service to those that staying 1 or 2 days.

This is a clean MINIMAL hotel. It is impossible to get to with a car, we drove around and around then parked illegally to find out the parking situation. The parking is NOT FREE which we were told it would be and it the only reason we choose it.

Good hotel, with very nice rooms to stay. My only point to improve would be access to water. I d recommend the hotel to gift one bottle of water for free.

My stay here was easily one of the best I have ever had at any hotel. Convenient location, situated downtown and nearby the main train station, shops, and restaurants. Decor is excellent, rooms are spacious and clean, service is friendly. The included transit ticket made local travel easy and convenient.

Beautiful spacious rooms, good location, good breakfast. Was missing a refrigerator in these hot summer nights though.

Didn't stay at the hotel but used the bar and restaurant while we watched football during the euros. The food was very tasty, the bottled beer was very drinkable and the service in reception and at the bar was memorable. Best of all the bill was very reasonable.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and spacious room. Breakfast is plentiful and pleasingly arranged. Services like coffee-to-go, decaffeinated beverage and gluten free bread on demand are a plus. Located at a walking distance from the main station and the city center.

We stayed here for one night at the end of January on a visit to the theatre in Wuppertal. We'd chosen it for it's closeness to the Schwebebahn (suspended railway). great hotel, nice stuff, you get cafe for free in the morning and is close to the center, Altermarkt.

Very nice notalgisches Design and very beautiful historical building from the 18th century. Jahrjundert. Apparently, it is just newly renovated, but a trip to the village of Remscheid seems to be worth it. Friendly staff and a good Breakfast await you there.Very recommend value.

Historic Hotel of the old Classe with style,charm and caracter, today, unfortunately, increasingly rare....absolutly recommendable ....

Nearby the Operhouse, so, if you go to see a performance, it's at walking distance. It's clean, comfortable, welcoming, affordable and it's a family run place, which is getting so seldom and is so much nicer.

Perfect place to stop on the way down the A1 on Adventures. Clean room, comfortable bed and good shower. Staff friendly and helpful. Bar and restaurant not open in early October but there is McDonald's next door for dinner or to avoid the 15eur breakfast. A good find!

Very calm location and close to the high way.

Decent hotel but nothing special

...not sure of 4 starts with a bit outdated rooms, bit amenities been great, even water boiler, coffe, tee and daily refills, very friendly staff, good breakfast , nice bath room - great value for the money and good deal to go back.

The check-in was time limited and the worst part was that it was not indicated on the booking email or at any time before arrival. If arriving sunday consider all the limitations.

Very different. Well worth a visit. The outside looks dreadful but the rooms were immaculate, and the bathroom was a pleasure to use.

I was there to visit my parents staying there. So i can not say that much about service but i really liked the interior and the feeling and softness of the bed. They said the breakfast was okay but not great so only 4/5 Stars.

The rooms are very nicely decorated, the Breakfast is top and the staff very friendly. Unfortunately, the rooms are very noisy. You can listen to the neighbours for your entertainment.

The staff is very very friendly and even while, as an early bird, I mistakenly went to early to breakfast, the staff was courteous. So i was thankful for that. The breakfast was top! The variety from sweets to the scrambled eggs was good and again everybody can find something. You had a small garbage disposal on the table. We had a great room, bathroom was brand new. Too bad there is no refrigerator in the room. No elevator, rooms only accessible by stairs. Great breakfast, restaurant seems to be understaffed for breakfast and dinner. Location is great.

OK, but far away from public transportation

I came Germany to attend the Anuga Tradefair and its 45min drive from Hotel to destination. It was a lovely place to stay at this Best Western Waldhotel. It’s quiet and Located in mountain area. Car park is available & convenient. Breakfast is available at ground floor. I would suggest to change the menu everyday to attract the customers. Foods are great but feel bored eating same dishes for 4days...

Intercity Hotels are always fine for me. The interior looks a little bit luxury although the room-rates are reasonable. Staff is very friendly, breakfast is ok as well. The hotel is located directly in the centre of Wuppertal, lots of bars, restaurants and shops are very close to it. And: the famous "Schwebebahn", an overhead railway, is very close. Try it, you'll love it!

The hotel is nicely located (although not during the construction work on the railway station), average level hotel in Germany. Breakfast was ok, but the staff did not clean the tables in time and hence if you did not have breakfast during the first hours it was hard to find a table. There's no real point staying in Wuppertal (unless you like upside down train systems and interbellum industrial architecture (which are actually quite good reasons to visit...)) but if you have to, then stay at this place. It's new, it's clean, everything works and the staff is great. Basement parking, good breakfast and fast WiFi. What else do you want? [stayed here multiple times in 2020/21]

Clean, comfortable, very good basic breakfast, new facilities - all for a very good price 👌 Only for the team in the morning I wish more staff. Looking after réception and breakfast is too much. Possibly a sick colleague and hopefully not standard for them to work with. Very friendly and helpful!

The bfast is free and variety is great, but because of corona no water boiler at room and they didn't provide hot water dispenser, some staff in lobby are gracious enough to give us free hot water or tea, but one staff said i need to pay more for that . We stay 3 days and only her saying that hmmmm

Wilzbach and the entire staff went out of their way to help me feel right at home during an extended business stay in the midst of COVID lockdown. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, historically it was a villa and turned into a luxuries hotel. Rooms are very clean and the furniture is cool and modern. Breakfast was also great.

Nice centrally located hotel. Room was unnecessarily massive. Bathroom was bigger than the bedroom. All good though. My only criticism is that there was someone snoring upstairs and it was so loud that it felt like he / she was in the room with me. So the sound proofing needs work. Breakfast was ok just.

We spent a week here in 2017, it was ideally located for a visit to this remarkable city. Our stay included a weeks free travel on the super Schwebebahn. Worth visiting for this alone. Clean rooms, delightful self serve breakfast, and professional staff. Thanks for a wonderful week here Wuppertal!

comfy bed - clean room - good location close to highway - good breakfast

This is a really really good hotel. It’s surrounded by nature, but still located 100 m from the Autobahn. But you can’t hear the cars at all. You can go for a walk/run around the lake, you can drink a beer or eat som food or you can just come there to get some good sleep. The breakfast is good and you will not leave hungry or disappointed in the morning. I can’t even remember how many times I’ve stayed...

Nice and newly renovated rooms. Perfect location on the way home to Denmark. Just next to a beautiful lake where you can walk or run around the lake.
