Where to stay in Wuppertal

A true hidden gem in Remscheid. Nice and modern rooms, a nice breakfast and very friendly staff. I really recommend the Ascot!

Stayed here on a business trip. For business purposes it was fine. It is not near downtown so you will need to drive or take taxis to most places. Rooms were clean and fairly large for European standards but a bit basic. Well deserved 4 stars for this hidden gem. I’m not sure when they did a full makeover but everything looks really crisp. Beds are perfect, rooms are nice for both work and leisure visits. Also breakfast is really good with a rich assortment of foods and freshly pressed oranges. I will try the bar later this week.

Very professional service, interior much nicer than you would think. Decent breakfast buffet with mandatory use of mask. Free ample parking. I would stay again.

There's no real point staying in Wuppertal (unless you like upside down train systems and interbellum industrial architecture (which are actually quite good reasons to visit...)) but if you have to, then stay at this place. It's new, it's clean, everything works and the staff is great. Basement parking, good breakfast and fast WiFi. What else do you want? [stayed here multiple times in 2020/21]

Clean, comfortable, very good basic breakfast, new facilities - all for a very good price 👌 Only for the team in the morning I wish more staff. Looking after réception and breakfast is too much. Possibly a sick colleague and hopefully not standard for them to work with. Very friendly and helpful!

The bfast is free and variety is great, but because of corona no water boiler at room and they didn't provide hot water dispenser, some staff in lobby are gracious enough to give us free hot water or tea, but one staff said i need to pay more for that . We stay 3 days and only her saying that hmmmm

We had a room with a great view, nice breakfast for just under €60 on a Saturday. Wonderful!

Excellent location being walking distance to the train station and town centre. Reception staff were very helpful and the room was more than adequate and very clean. Breakfast was ideal. A perfect stay. Note, there are no restaurant facilities on a Sunday evening.

There was no restaurant available probably because Virus or floods... The internet signal is not reaching all rooms but were there are no excuses, a wifi router costs 50€ i can understand this... The breakfast was very good the onky thing i didn't like during breakfast is that there are costumers that don't use mask when they go to pick food from the self service and the hotel staff was looking and...

Whenever I will have the need for a hotel in the Wuppertal area, I will stay in the Vienna House. Friendliness, Service and Facilities with a perfect value for money approach. Normally also the breakfast is a great but out of corona reasons not possible during my last stay - but this is fully accepted!!

We had a great stay at the hotel. It looks nice and very modern. The breakfast was delicious and very complete. The room looked great as well, although there wasn't a little fridge. Great Experience! Park Villa is a pleasant surprise in the Wuppertal area. Fr. Wilzbach and the entire staff went out of their way to help me feel right at home during an extended business stay in the midst of COVID lockdown. It is a little piece of wow in the strangest location. The rooms are beautifully decorated and breakfast was superb. The staff are friendly and helpful. This hotel is now my first choice for business travel.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, historically it was a villa and turned into a luxuries hotel. Rooms are very clean and the furniture is cool and modern. Breakfast was also great.

This hotel was perfect for me as a foreigner visiting a friend. I loved my room and the view was amazing. I would have liked a bar fridge. The brau was great, it has a lovely atmosphere and pretty, attentive waitresses :) The food was plentiful and the beer was great! The value for money was among the best I've ever experienced in 13 years of being a regular traveller. If ever I revisit Remscheid...

OK, but far away from public transportation

I came Germany to attend the Anuga Tradefair and its 45min drive from Hotel to destination. It was a lovely place to stay at this Best Western Waldhotel. It’s quiet and Located in mountain area. Car park is available & convenient. Breakfast is available at ground floor. I would suggest to change the menu everyday to attract the customers. Foods are great but feel bored eating same dishes for 4days...

Nice hotel with good restaurant breakfast and welness

Parking is good. The Hotel is clean. Breakfast great. Room to the inner courtyard with the Windows open is difficult, because the noise from the kitchen is possible - until the evening. In principle, but very quiet.

Very nice cozy rooms, friendly staff and the restaurant was delicious! It was definitely not my last visit. Highly recommended! :)

Entschuldigung Sie bitte, ich habe schlecht deutsch. This Hotel is nice On the Inside and the staff is very friendly. My biggest complaints (as an American) are: the parking is very hard to spot, the entrance for any non-compact car is very narrow, and the road is undergoing construction that makes it hard to find the way to the hotel. Overall,a good experience at this hotel.

Very different. Well worth a visit. The outside looks dreadful but the rooms were immaculate, and the bathroom was a pleasure to use.

I was there to visit my parents staying there. So i can not say that much about service but i really liked the interior and the feeling and softness of the bed. They said the breakfast was okay but not great so only 4/5 Stars.

The rooms are very nicely decorated, the Breakfast is top and the staff very friendly. Unfortunately, the rooms are very noisy. You can listen to the neighbours for your entertainment.

Very nice notalgisches Design and very beautiful historical building from the 18th century. Jahrjundert. Apparently, it is just newly renovated, but a trip to the village of Remscheid seems to be worth it. Friendly staff and a good Breakfast await you there.Very recommend value.

Good place,clean and easy to find

The staff is very and accommodating. The hotel is dated even though the rooms appear to be recently renovated. But even though it is right off of the highway, it's in a quite location. Big plus is the breakfast was Vegan Friendly!

It was clean, service was good and I enjoyed the German Breakfast a lot. When I visit my brother again, I will stay there again.

The Parking lot was crowded, Breakfast was delicious but stressful. A lot going on and no places. Very hot. Room nice, staff nice and helpful.

The Arcade Hotel was absolutely wonderful! The staff was thorough, friendly and had good information when we had any questions. The rooms were very comfortable with a lot of space. We had the best breakfast each morning. Plenty of meats, cheeses, yogurt, juice, fruit, bread, and much more! We will definitely stay again!

Nice centrally located hotel. Room was unnecessarily massive. Bathroom was bigger than the bedroom. All good though. My only criticism is that there was someone snoring upstairs and it was so loud that it felt like he / she was in the room with me. So the sound proofing needs work. Breakfast was ok just.

We spent a week here in 2017, it was ideally located for a visit to this remarkable city. Our stay included a weeks free travel on the super Schwebebahn. Worth visiting for this alone. Clean rooms, delightful self serve breakfast, and professional staff. Thanks for a wonderful week here Wuppertal!

Our autumn holiday we have spent with the family at the Hotel am Zoo. In the Internet we stumbled upon this Hotel and have only read good reviews. In retrospect, we can say the same. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and beautiful. The price - performance ratio is also very positive. All in all I am very satisfied and can only recommend it! Keep it up!

When I was in Düsseldorf am, I always book a room in the house at the Zoo. It is located in a relatively quiet side. To the rear it has a beautiful garden with a swimming pool for the summer. The Hotel is owner-managed. The owner is very friendly, helpful, also his wife and his staff. The rooms are clean and cozy

It's a cute little hotel right next to Rewe, dm, Lidl, at a crossstreet in a little town. So you are sure to not stay hungry in any case. There are few bakeries nearby where residents gather since early in the morning to have breakfast.
