What an absolute disappointment. First of all, the breakfast room was more like a crowded train station at rush hour - completely overcrowded, no chance to eat in peace. People stand around the room like vultures waiting for something to eat and a free seat.
Then there's the noise. It doesn't matter whether it's the street sweeper doing three laps around the room at half past three in the morning at Full throttle or the sweet cries of the local drunks echoing through the neighborhood. The area was so noisy at night that I had to keep the window closed, which turned the room into a stuffy oven - who needs sleep, right?
And the staff? Don't even get me started. They were about as motivated as a wet sponge. Completely indifferent, no energy, and clearly not concerned about the guests. Where's the hospitality in that?
The only saving grace? The location is convenient, and the parking is fine. But let's be honest, I didn't come here for the parking.

Overall good hotel in a great place. Very little info available. No signs, no labels. Have to guess where the breakfast is, had to use Google to find out where the gym is. Few labels wouldn't hurt. For example next to elevator buttons.

Finally, I arrived in Tartu at 08:00 in the morning.
I had been on the road for about 20 hours.
I had reserved a single room at Hotel Dorpat in Tartu, Estonia.
It was paid yesterday. However, the receptionist said that the room would be delivered at 15:00.
Also, I am a scientist and the antibodies I brought had to be refrigerated. I travel all over the world and have stayed in hotels hundreds of times. But I have never encountered such rude receptionists. I had to wait for the room for 7 hours at the reception and they made trouble for a small box that was supposed to be kept in the cold.

Great hotel in downtown Tartu!
Walking distance from Main Street, shops and restaurants.
I could park my motorcycle just in front of the reception, safe place, brilliant.
Clean and cozy rooms. One downside, bathroom floor was very slippery, wrong material used. AC is good in the room.
Breakfast was tasty, enough different items to choose from.
Recommended!

Pleasant hotel next to the bus station and with river views. Basic rooms. Good breakfast. To find the room numbers, look at the carpet!!

Had a room with a door inside the wall. Literally heard every word and step from the other room. Couple decided to make love really loudly at 1AM. Couldnt sleep because it was just so noisy. Very bad.

Unfortunately our room was dirty and very dated. No safe, no minibar, no kettle or coffee, room keeping is towels only - bed is not made daily and cleaning was never visible. It hadn't even been cleaned properly after the guests before us, there was hair everywhere. Two stars instead of one because the breakfast was ok, not a very wide selection but there was plenty.
The bar also always closed well before the listed closing time.
The location near the river and in the city centre is great, but the hotel needs major updates. There are cheaper hotels nearby with much better rooms.

Location is good. There are lots of restaurants around the area. Also big supermarkets here. There is a morning market that you can walk just 5 minutes from the hotel main entrance. Also a river at the back of the hotel, nice scenery. You can follow this way walk to the old town.
