What a homely stay!
The staff took the time to show me around the place. Everything was clean and organized. The balcony was so peaceful and relaxing. The kitchen was well-equipped and showers clean. I stayed in a private room and it was very comfortable.

Not sure why people complain about the distance from the city. It's just 20-30 mins by foot.

It is a decent hostel but it does look a bit run-down. The female dorm can’t be locked and they don’t have an age limit so there might be older people there. The hostel was not really social when I was there in summer. The location is quite far from the centre but close to the station. I left the hostel a day early. What concerns me most is that I am blocked from writing a review on Hostelworld which is why I am writing a review here.

Nice hostel with a lovely atmosphere. My daughter and I spent the night in a double room and slept comfortably. Warn when booking if you have heavy luggage, because we were placed on the 3rd floor without an elevator, but the owner (or administrator) helped us to lift suitcases.

Perhaps the best thought-out and planned hostel i have ever stayed at. Beds well built with good stairs. Good storage lockers. Things organized. You can tell someone put a lot of thought i to everything. I wish more hostels were like this one, what a pleasure.

I was pleasantly surprised by Looming Hostel! The atmosphere is cozy and creative, and the staff are incredibly helpful. In addition to the comfortable facilities, I met people from different countries, and we had a great time sharing travel tips and experiences. Everything here encourages socializing and creates a warm, friendly vibe. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well-equipped, there's fast free internet, and the location is just a short walk from the city center. I’ll be happy to stay here again next time I’m in Tartu.

Truly a home away from home! This place feels so cozy and welcoming, you will want to return. The vibes match those of the entire town - laid back, no rush, good energy and creative vibes. It's a great choice not just for whoever is traveling through Tartu and needs to stay a night in the dorm room, but also for groups and families who prefer privacy in a private room or apartment with bathroom and kitchenette. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind, plus the hostel does lots of upcycling projects and helps you decrease your footprint while you travel. Thank you for having me, Looming! 🤍

Easy to find and check in. Staff is friendly and explains the rules quickly. It’s ok place for 1 night and given the price of the competition, I guess it’s ok. The place is in a bit of disarray some due to guests but also because it seems it was out together from donations of furniture and linens and some construction materials. It’s an interesting Hostel, don’t get me wrong, just not used to this in previous hostel stays. Toilets were roomy and clean. Showers on the other hand very small, broken some and not so clean. Yes I would stay again, especially for the price given all other options are more expensive.
