Downtown Hotel in Dahab

Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. The room was not clean at all. The bedsheets were dirty and had holes in them, and the blanket was in terrible condition—dirty, worn out, and also torn. The bathroom was filthy, with a bad smell and clearly not properly cleaned.

The room lock was broken and it took them a long time to fix it. There was no hot water, and when we asked about it, they said it was because “there’s too much pressure on the water heater”—which is a poor excuse. If you know there’s high demand, you should invest in a bigger heater or more heaters.

To make things worse, they cut off the water completely at night. When we complained, they told us “we’re giving the motor a break,” which is unacceptable.

The electrical outlets were loose and unsafe—they sparked when touched. The blackout curtain was made of low-quality material, and as soon as the sun came up, the whole room was filled with light, making it impossible to sleep in.

There was nowhere to sit outside other than by the pool, and there were no umbrellas at all. The heat was unbearable and even our phones were overheating and shutting down. There was also no proper space to have breakfast, so we were forced to eat inside the room because there was no shaded or covered area outdoors.

Breakfast was extremely basic and didn’t even include a cup of tea or juice. There wasn’t even a microwave anywhere to heat anything up.

The staff were unhelpful and gave very strange responses. They clearly didn’t care, as if they knew we were coming just once and had no interest in making us want to return.

We chose this place despite the higher price compared to others, thinking it would offer better service—but it had none, not even the most basic standards. This wasn’t our first time in Dahab, so we know what to expect—and unfortunately, this was one of the worst experiences we’ve had.

The worst toilet ever, pool also was unclean, the bed was fine like 60% small tv screen. The location is only the good thing in this hotel

i don’t recommend this hotel at all!! i checked in and went to see the room then left almost immediately. the bathroom had a strong sewage smell, the beds were old with holes in the sheets and the mattresses weren’t clean or comfortable.
the pool looked dirty and there was no shade or umbrellas anywhere just full sun all over the place! the AC was very old and even after sitting in the room for over half an hour it wasn’t cooling at all. the closet looked damaged and not usable.

i didn’t stay and definitely wouldn’t go back or suggest it to anyone, also i don’t recommend dealing with arc.eg the company we booked the whole trip with
we ended up completely alone with all our luggage looking for another hotel and place to stay, we didn’t even go on any of their organized trips because we were already too frustrated with the hotel and the whole experience..

Good location & friendly staff, but
The room is missing basic hosting requirements such as
1. Towels
2. Soap & shampoo
3. Cabinet hangers
4. Place to put on suitcase
5. Electric kettle
6. Internet connections WIFI
We stayed 3 nights 4 days, for two days no water in toilet. In order to get some water we had to go down to the resection to report the water shortage. So they will response after 1 hour minimum to pump water for about 30 minutes. Then you have to report water shortages again.
The building has no sound isolation, so it is too loud with the music the hotel and other night club play every night.
Mattress quality is too poor, you can easily feel the it’s springs marking your body.
The toilet button was disgusting.
My reservation included free breakfast, honestly it was bad quality and staff who making and serving food have to practice some hygiene standards, basically I watched them preparing our food, and they were using dirty cooking tool, the person was smoking and preparing food, when I asked him to wash hands, vegetables and tools, he got hidden in side the kitchen, so I can see him.
I hope they improve their behavior toward guests, and do big & major changes,because guests need better treatments.

Beds : you will feel the zippers hurt you while sleeping
Rooms: with no towels, asked for it .. took all the day to bring it
Service : friendly staff but with no service ,poor respond

breakfast tool 2 hrs and half to prepare it..
they involve you in their issues in the hotel while as its not something to be shared with a guest or impact the service supposed to be delivered
Overall “not recommended”

They have a ferocious dog. They trained it to attack street cats to death to prevent them from being around in the hotel. They told me during reservation that my cats are welcome and they didn’t tell me anything about having a wild huge dog but after going I found this wild animal attacking me and my cat. This dog is dangerous on children as well please take care. I left right away after this accident after staying less than two nights and after hearing a lot of guests telling that he kills and eats cats. - AC is not working. -Windows are not sealed enough to the extent I was scared the dog may attack us while we are sleeping. -After checking in and unpacking they told me there was a mistake and you need to pack again cause this room is reserved. - very noisy and the have the speakers of the DJ right in front of the windows and doors of rooms area. -Unprofessional behavior of employees. -No Wifi -Again they have a very dangerous animal please take good care of your lives and your children A shout to Animal welfare organizations A shout to Tourism Police in Egypt
