PlayaOlid All Inclusive Hotel in Adeje

Anyone needing a mobility scooter do NOT book the hotel will not allow them here under no circumstances. We booked a few months back with Tui and explained I had broken my back previously this year and was struggling with mobility. Before I broke my back I was able bodied. My wife asked in the Tui shop about renting a mobility scooter and she was told there were plenty of shops, which is true. My daughter and her family also came. My daughter has mobility issues she has done since a child so also needed one. Upon arrival we went to bed as it was early hours. That morning we asked about mobility scooter rental and we were told under NO circumstances are mobility scooters allowed on the premises. We then spoke to our Tui rep who spoke to the manager explaining that we were genuinely in need. The hotel would not budge!. We are literally confined to the hotel apart from paying for taxis as we are on a steep hill. That would not have been an issue because we assumed renting a scooter would not be a problem. We tried some local scooter shops who said they had availability and if we could return them at night,my wife and daughter’s partner would drop them off and walk back. As soon as they realised we were staying at Playaolid they shut us down and said no. Tui offered to move us hotels where we could rent a scooter but at our extra cost £150 per person plus arrange our own transport. I didn’t have the physical strength after the journey here and in my opinion Tui should have informed us the hotel doesn’t allow mobility scooters. They were quick enough taking nearly 4 grand I paid for myself my wife our son and his partner. My daughter paid for herself her partner and 2 children. Basically the hotel does not CARE ABOUT IT’S GUESTS. This has basically ruined our holiday and it wasn’t cheap we are a party of eight all inclusive.

We stayed at this hotel with an all-inclusive package, but the food and drinks were quite average – I expected more. The cocktails were basically slushies, and the drinks overall felt very cheap. The pool area was quite boring, with no music or atmosphere, and the only activities offered were table tennis, killer pool, and a bingo night. The evenings were made more enjoyable thanks to one of the entertainers with curly hair, who really put in a lot of effort. Overall, the price is too high for what you actually get

The hotel is absolutely disgusting and filthy rude staff do not stay here the only good thing is the location near to bars and beach

hotel as mixed reviews , thus that stayed in the newer part over looking pool 2 may think its ok.but even this area needs a repaint. My review is not good, Hotel from front looks like a multi storey car part, and the walk ways to your rooms in block one feel like you are in a muti story car park, ill repair and dirty, are room in this block needs a good deep clean, it no good just mopping the the floor and wiping the sides, but very thing worked ok, curtains and nets need washing and walls painting including balcony , are room was over looked by stair cases and are air con units for canteen ( you can't call it a restaurant) . we asked to change are room 3 times only to be told each day sorry were full , so we but up with it. food is ok but canteen is basic and could areas need a good clean, there was the odd cockrouch, pool areas are good and the staff great, Yes its only a 3 star but needs to be better then this, comparted to others 3 stas we stayed in, his is only my opinion others may think different .
