Radisson Collection Hotel

I was disappointed with my stay. The building is beautiful and the location is very central, but the standards were just not what I have come to expect from Radisson. Our room was only partially cleaned: the bed was made but there was trash on the balcony, the surfaces inside were sticky, and many of the toiletries and snacks had been opened. We had one large towel, so I had to ask for an addition set. The bathmat was threadbare. There were only two pillows (one each) on a giant king size bed. We only had a half a roll of toilet paper, which seemed odd. The shower design is such that if you don’t give it 60 seconds to drain into the floor, you flood the rest of the bathroom when opening the shower door. Many of the shampoo or conditioner bottles were missing, leaving vacant wall mounts. Service was hit or miss. Reception was friendly and accommodating, but when I asked for housekeeping to finish cleaning the room, that would have been a good time to ask them to check the snack bar and the towels situation. My family ran a motel when I was a kid, and I grew up cleaning up after guests, so I hate to complain about dirty rooms, but this was really egregious. Service on the terrace bar was not great in the evening, but it was very good at breakfast. For the money, the experience was a real letdown. I would not recommend this hotel.
