Amazing place in the city center. We were lucky to get an upgrade to the top floor so we had a great view from a very spacious room
Stuff was extremely helpful in e.g. extending our stay (thanks, Roberto!)

Wonderful and beautiful hotel.
I had the pleasure of staying during Asta Naguisa.
The service was excellent and even helped us get a last minute booking at a sister hotel.
The location and the metro station beside the hotel allowed freedom to move around without an issue.
I would highly recommend and look forward to visiting the beautiful city of Bilbao again.

We stayed at this hotel for four nights as a couple, and we wanted to share some points that led to my disappointment. These are some touch points for improvement if they claim as a 5-star hotel in Bilbao:
1. On the first night, we used a glass and a cup, but they were not replaced or cleaned afterwards.
2. The pillows were too flat and uncomfortable.
3. We only received a new vanity set on the last night of our stay.
4. Some of the furniture needs refurbishment - even in common area.
5. There was no entertainment available other than the television. If you're hoping for Netflix, this is not the place for you.
6. There were no USB-C or USB ports available for charging devices.
7. We only received one bottle of water for two people, and there was no refill until the last night, which only provided one additional bottle.
8. We heard the noise from other rooms too.
9. Staffs are friendly but doesn't helpful enough.
Overall, it doesn't feel right when it comes to 5-star hotel.

Really beautiful hotel in a wonderful location. The staff were beyond lovely and breakfast was exceptional. Would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Bilbao. Very short walk to The Guggenheim Museum.

We enjoyed the location, the food quality, the breakfast, the service overall.
Things to improve:
- update hair dryer in the bathroom, it’s old
- add a heating option to the air conditioner, because at night it can be quite cold (e.g. at the end of August)

Iconic hotel on the main circle of Bilbao, minutes walk from Guggenheim, plus just tons of food and bar options. Spacious rooms, large bathrooms, overall pleasant environs. But the staff is what makes this hotel Excellent…from the valet to the front desk to everyone encountered, friendly, helpful, and very professional!
If you have a car, pull onto the front sidewalk by the front door and let valet take care of the rest!

Nice rooms, decent sound proofing, large bathroom with excellent water temperature and good water pressure. Comfortable mattress, and pillow room service is offered to get you the style you prefer if you don’t like the ones in the room. Very good staff, especially the bellhops and bar staff. Had to get new keys twice before one clerk warned to keep the hey card far away from a smart phone, or they get messed up. Seems like something they’d tell you upfront, but still a very good stay. The location couldn’t be beat!

We booked two rooms by Bookings.com.
We were quite astonished for the rooms with standards that do not meet at all the range of a luxury hotel.
The moquette is dirty, the bathroom floor is very often broken and not unkept, the bathroom door is ruined, it rains and it’s not possible to heat up the room. Bathrooms are very old style.
We are wondering if we really are in a luxury hotel. We already asked to change the room but the rooms that the reception offered us are the same to the previous ones.
Carlton Bilbao is a very bad solution

Excellent hotel perfect location for shops restaurants Old town and Guggenheim. Metro station at front door. Taxi rank at the side. Airport bus stops outside. Staff really professional and friendly. Could not recommend it more highly as a place to stay in Bilbao

The quality is top notch. The associates could not be more helpful or caring. Excellent location. Walking distance to The Guggenheim and five star restaurants. Loved the linens, complementary drinks in the mini bar. I would book this hotel if ever in Bilbao again.
