The Artist Grand Hotel of Art

Also known as The Artist Hotel, which is across the road from the Guggenheim Museum, so a brilliant location.
The rooms are excellent woth coffee and tea facilities, plus bottled water each day.
We had a delicious light supper on our first night in the rooftop restaurant, which has superb views across to the Guggenheim. They also serve breakfast up here, which has a wide variety of hot and cold food, just excellent.

Impressive hotel perfectly located for exploring the handsome city of Bilbao. The Guggenheim is just across the street from it. Many of Bilbao's lovely other attractions are just a short stroll from the hotel. The breakfast offered in the rooftop restaurant is thoughtful, varied and of a high quality. I had nothing but positive experiences with its staff who were professional, polite and helpful.

Hotel the Artist in Bilbao was an absolute gem! Its prime location directly across from the Guggenheim Museum made it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The hotel itself was impeccably maintained, with clean and comfortable rooms. Stylish throughout and designed to the highest standards. We were particularly impressed with our junior suite with a balcony, which was bright, airy, and spacious. The bathroom was fantastic, and the entire room was immaculately clean and quiet.

The concierge Diego was exceptionally helpful. He recommended fantastic lunch and dinner spots, and even took care of our luggage and parked our car for us. This allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the experience and enjoy our stay without any hassle.

Our stay at Hotel the Artist was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our European trip. If you're planning a visit to Bilbao, I highly recommend this hotel."

Great location right in front of the Guggenheim. Staff was very friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. Rooms were very clean and spacious with all amenities you'd expect from a 5 star hotel. Our only issue was that our room was at the end of the corridor, sharing the wall with the cleaning staff deposit/room. This meant that every morning starting from 8 AM we'd hear loud banging and other noises from the other side making it impossible to rest after that time and we just wanted to run away from our room. Changing rooms wasn't an option because we went to Bilbao for a wedding and had various activities throughout the day and very late into the evening making it impossible to change rooms at convenient times. We had to buy earplugs, which is something you wouldn't think you'd need for a hotel like this.

If you stay here I heavily recommend to avoid the rooms near the cleaning staff deposit.

The views of the Guggenheim from the rooftop terrace are STUNNING! And the food is very good - we have both dinner and then breakfast buffet the next day and we would return in a heartbeat. We had our two kids under age 4 with us and they were very kind with us. The elevator ride was quite exhilarating for us adults and our children must have ridden it about three dozen times. The entire hotel feels like an art museum - they really captured the feeling of spending the night INSIDE of the Guggenheim.

Gran Hotel Domine Bilbao, located opposite the Guggenheim Museum, is the first five-star hotel and the true flagship of the Silken Hotels. It expresses a modern concept that eschews showiness and induces pleasure.

Very nice and cozy hotel

Best location in the city to have direct access and views into the Guggenheim museum and the iconic Puppy sculpture. Good service, spacious rooms with hot tub, SPA is small but nice. Small disappointment on the room service food, which was quite average, not matching the rest of superb service level of the place.

Best hotel to be in Bilbao. Make sure you have a room with a view on Guggenheim's rooftop. The breakfast on the 7th floor facing Guggenheim is breathtaking. The a là carte selection for breakfast was delicious and the petite buffet presentation is very elegant. Cristina who serves the breakfast is very friendly, helpful and professional. All other staff were very helpful and efficient. We shall return anytime!!
