The staff have been amazing at doing their best to help out with all out booking issues. (Not the hotels fault) just lots of changes and requests . They have been great! Oh yes breakfast is awesome too

Hotel is nice, breakfast were good. Location is very close to the beach. Swimming pool is rather small, but clean. The only downside is the staff that is not answering emails. Or if they are, their responses are very laconic or avoiding the topic that you asked about.

My family stayed here for about a week with our dog and the service was incredible. My dog even fell in love with the reception staff. Great little hotel, people that work there are so friendly especially Miguel. Cheers mate. Is it the most modern place?? Nope, its just an easy hotel thats a good base, right by the beach etc. If you want The Ritz, pay Ritz prices. I think its perfect where it is, ideal.

Very cheap price, but the room is slightly worn. Tip for travellers flying in at Costa-Brava: book an airport transfer in advance from third-parties, it is much cheaper than an Uber.

My experience at the hotel was good. I found that the room was very clean apart from the fact that there was a bug when I entered. Stayed here for a week and am very happy with my stay. Cheap but fresh rooms, I got with balcony. Very nice staff that helped me with whatever I needed. Perfect place in centre of Calella. Strongly recommending!

The location is perfect: central and just 4 min from the beach. The hostel, I would even say a hotel as the service provided there was of a high level, is clean and cozy. All the workers are friendly and are doing their best to satisfy the visitors. Highly recommended :)

Best hotel in Calella by price/quality

It is an old hotel without TV and a good pool to unwind, it is very good and quiet during the day, at night you can hear music from nearby hotels but it does not bother, it does not have air conditioning but if you touch the upper floors I know it is very good. Me, my wife, and our 3-year-old had a great time there! The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the food was awesome. The rooms need an update, the beds weren't the most comfortable. The reception staff were very helpful as were the dining room staff. The breakfast was more than adequate, something for everyone and all very fresh each morning.

We had a fabulous stay at GHT Balmes. The hotel has everything needed for a comfortable stay. It is clean, well-presented and friendly. The staff go above and beyond to keep guests happy. My pillows stank of sweat I had to use a T-shirt as a case. Couldn’t get the safe to work, couldn’t get the phone to work. The pool was very cold, could have been heated. Home away from home when in Calella. Francesc, Jose and then team have all been there for decades and really make one feel welcome. The hotel has had an extensive renovation and is top quality. They have also upgraded their restaurants and introduced top notch chefs.

This is a 2 star hotel, so it's a no frills sort of place, but it's very well thought out and all the most critical things - a comfortable bed, a decent shower and all the equipment and utensils you might need to make a simple meal - are provided. It's very clean and well -maintained and has very kind and hospitable staff.

The truth is that we loved everything, the cleanliness, the spaciousness of the apartment, the perfect kitchen utensils, the gentleman at reception very friendly.

Hotel is great, yes a little dated and you don't go on holiday to stay in the room 24/7. Close to the beach and close to shops etc. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Food is fine and have a decent choice as long as your tastes are varied and feel like trying new foods. No complaints whatsoever
