This hotel exceeded my expectations. It was very clean, and housekeeping remade our beds and tidied our rooms daily, which I was not expecting on a 4 night stay. The food was amazing they seemed to cater for all. It was very well presented, too. The bar and pool area were great. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I will 100% be returning. Plus it is situated right near the beach, shops and restaurants.

Absolutely stunning hotel especially for the price, fast check in, they even let us leave bags as we arrived early, short walk to beach etc, staff was all kind polite and went out of their way to help and we had a beautiful stay, we would definitely return! It was also quiet & relaxing. Rooms was cleaned daily and the cleaning staff was also lovely and always said hello and was respectful. ☺️

We stayed at the Ipenema beach hotel for four nights at the end of August. The rooms were clean but the walls are thin so we were woken up a few times in the morning. The pool side was lovely and the drinks are very cheap from the bar. We seen a lot of staff and everyone we had dealt with were helpful. Location is great too. The only downside was there was poor phone service and you had to pay for WiFi.

Polite helpful staff. Staff happy to speak English which was great as I'm ignorant and don't know a bit of Spanish.
Rooms clean modern and well kept like the rest of the hotel. Airton was very well received!
Breakfast was perfect and the pool area very well maintained, the life guard was very proactive. Also really appreciated that when lads got a bit rowdy by the pool the life guard asked them to chill and this maintained a relaxing safe environment. Also I have a spine condition and have been sleeping on the sofa for 4 years because beds hurt my back but I slept like a baby! Which I did not expect. Good walking distance to the beach Also and considering this is a party location the hotel was very quiet and peaceful.

This hotel is not clean at all. I appreciate ladies cleaning the rooms, but the hotel itself is really dirty and smelly.. we have ants and other insects everywhere.. even in our bed. It is supper difficult to sleep or lie in the bed because of the ants.
When we tell them about this, they didn’t want to change our room but clean it somehow. I don’t think that there is a way of cleaning this bro. I do not recommend this hotel at all. The food is bad, the rooms are bad and even more, they make you pay for everything, even for WiFi.

The reviews for this hotel are unfair. The rooms are clean, tidy, and very comfy for a 3* hotel. The breakfast is very good and you also have a chef there to make you fresh eggs if you want.
It also has a big pool with plenty of sunbeds and affordable drinks and food by the pool.
The negative things are hotels' location because you have to walk 10-15 minutes to the beach, but that is the reason it's much cheaper than hotels closer to the beach.And also a very slow check-in.

Overall very nice hotel. Room was nice and clean, and without ants 😄stuff was very polite and friendly, especially on the pool. Yes, it can be noisy at night but whole Arenal it is, so that was expected

Not as clean as we thought, I found hair in the bed.
Τhey forbid us to have visitors in the evening.
We had to constantly wear the hotel bracelet wherever we went. Of course I cut it. Tragic
The walls are like paper, you hear everything.
No fridge.

Overall, it was a decent experience. The staff was very friendly, especially in the pool area. However, having to pay for the internet in the hotel is unexpected and nowhere pointed out, hence the three star review.

A nice hotel overall as long as you don't look for something extraordinary.
Rooms are clean. It's true that there were some ants (as some other persons also say), but not an invasion for sure and since they are innofensive, they didn't bother us too much.
You do have to pay for wifi per day per device. There is no fridge (or probably there is one if you pay for it). And also the safe box, you need to pay for using it.
Food is quite repetitive, especially in the morning they could have a little bit of more variety. In the evening food is better in terms of variety, but pay attention that there is no kind of free drink, not even tap water. I believe the drinks' regime is the same in all hotels on the island, unless you opt for all inclusive (we had half-board).
Location is good, very near to the bus station and about 400-500m far from the beach.
