BG Hotel Caballero in Playa de Palma

Such a wonderful hotel and people working there. This is our off season bday trip for my husband and they helped me to surprise him at breakfast plus we found in our room happy birthday voucher for drinks at the bar. Everyone is nice and atmosphere is beautiful. Breakfast is amazing with plenty of choice and fresh fruits.

Nicely refurbished hotel just a few minutes from the beach. The place feels bright and welcoming, and the staff — especially Fira — were amazing. The buffet was huge, and we loved the local cheeses, cured meats, and paella. The downsides were the long waits for elevators with a stroller and some dishes that looked better than they tasted. The area around is very touristy — lots of concrete, souvenir shops, and bars without much soul — but that’s the deal with this part of Mallorca. Overall, a comfortable and friendly place that just needs a small flavor upgrade.

Check-in and Check-out was quick, if your room is at most at third floor, use stairs - two tiny lifts are slow and unreliable.
Food was great at breakfast and dinner aswell, wide variety and different cuisine themes every day. You can spot some bugs at the restaurant, so make your own judgement.
The staff is friendly and speak english well-enough, although we felt their service is focused on German speaking guests (who are a vast majority of the island's visitors).
Pool with pool bar are above average, with enough sun-beds and umbrellas. Bar serves great drinks and some grill-based food up to 21:00 every day.
Nearby sandy beach is spacious, water is shallow for like 50 meters from the shoreline, and just after that you can expect depth from around 2 meters, so beach is nice for not-so-skilled swimmers.
You can find many restaurants, grocery stores and gift shops all along the beach.
City of Palma is easily reachable by local bus lines and fare is cheap (2€ per person per ride). City itself is beautiful (cathedtal is a MUST SEE) with rich history and really calm atmosphere (we really recommend a tour with guide to get full experience).
Tap water is not recommended for drinking, but you can buy pretty cheap bottled water in local supermarkets.
Do NOT buy anything from shady street/beach vendors - from water, sunglasses, towels, handbags, football jerseys... They are fake, overpriced and low quality overall.
The return flights from Mallorca airports are very frequent, airport is ENORMOUS and busy, so make sure you arrive to the airport in advance.

Very convenient location with a nice pool, outdoor bar, and well-equipped spa. Rooms are minimal, as one would expect, shower and bathroom are well-appointed. Daily housekeeping service will attempt to enter your room without knocking as early as 8:45am. There is baggage self-storage available on site.

Good hotel but for young and youthful :-)

The hotel was excellent. The location is perfect - close to the bus stop(which goes to the city centre) and the beach. They kept different chocolates every time they were done with room service that was really sweet.

Worth the stay!

One tip: Please carry cash for bus travel as bus travel is cash only. They don’t accept cards for inter city travel.

Near the sea. Good staff, clean. There are swimming pools and a bar.
