We had a great stay at this hotel.
Our room was lovely & clean. The view was stunning from the top floor. There were three pools to choose from, and we really enjoyed the sun loungers on the raised decking overlooking the main pool. All inclusive food was a bit hit & miss. Some nights we really enjoyed it, especially the Thai/Chinese themed night.
If there's anything the hotel doesn't have, there's a Spar down the road which is about a 5 minute walk.

We stayed at the this hotel at the beginning of July for a week, this was our first family holiday all together and I can easily say I would never recommend this hotel and I definitely will not be returning. If you are British you are not welcome at all, the staff are rude, if you have payed for all inclusive believe me it is not and you will end up paying for additional stuff, the food every night was awful with a poor selection. Food in the pool bar was still left out after the entertainment was finished at 22:30, you are not allowed any kind of toys or little balls in the pool, we spoke to several other groups of people from the UK and every person had there own horror story about what they have experienced or witnessed, we checked out and everyone was waiting in the lobby with the belongings for our transfer until a manager come out and starting shouting telling us to get out and when another lad told him he needed to charge his phone before he leaves the manager then stormed towards him and said “what did you just say” overall a poor experience and If you are British my advice would be stay far away from this hotel.

After booking a last minute break, we couldn't of asked for a better week at the Abora Continental.
From arrival we have been continuously impressed by the outstanding level of cleanliness, friendliness & helpfulness of staff as well as excellent food and atmosphere.

We have loved every minute of our stay, with just enough going on to create a fun atmosphere without feeling like we are at a club 18-30, plus lots of space to be either 'in on the action' or to watch from a bit of a distance. It is in a fab location to the promenade (we had sea views), beach and livelier night life as well as a bus station for exploring the island (highly recommend!). The food has been hot, well cooked and a great variety. We have never struggled for a sun bed or a table at meal times and the staff at the bar are so "on it" you never queue more than a couple of mins for a drink at night. The snack bar is a gem as is the 24-7 self serve drink & sandwich station. Rooms a great and cleaned daily too!

If you are thinking of booking, I would highly recommend that you do!

Stayed June 7th for seven nights. Three friends on annual girls holiday. We had a great time! Staff friendly and helpful. Reception area very smart and clean.
Rooms cleaned daily to a good standard. Food plentiful choice.
Only criticism is room size. We found the room a little small and wardrobe space not sufficient for three women. Lacking shelving for folded clothes so we lived out of our cases as lacking shelving for clothes. No dressing table and chair which is a must really. Took it in turns sitting on the floor in front of the mirror to get ready. All in our fifties but we were able to cope crossed legged on the floor, but would not be suitable for all.
Pool area lovely, just a few more parasols required.
Service by staff inside hotel and around the pool was excellent!
Would definitely return again

Loved our stay here! The location was great for beaches, easy to take the bus, the staff was incredibly kind and fun. We took special notice of Ismael in the restaurant, he really cares about guest experience.

Pools were beautiful, the nearby stores and bars were awesome and easy to get around, we felt very safe here. Thank you so much!! 🇨🇦

We have had a all inclusive holiday here, and it was perfect. Starting from receiving a lovely welcome form reception staff, they were all kind and accommodating.
The room were good size, clean and with comfy beds. The cleaning staff are amazing, every day they would clean the bathroom and the room, an extremely good job by the cleaners. I hope that after this review the Managers are going to give a bonus to these ladies because they do a very good work keeping the clients rooms clean and maintain a good hygiene though the building, even the toilets around the pool and bar were clean all day.
Pool! well, the pictures speak for themselves. It is sunny most of the day so find a place in the shade is not easy, but if you ask there are umbrellas for shade and even if busy is relaxing.
Food, I'm a fanatic of good food and I was very satisfied about the buffet, every day there were something different to try, meat and fish were tasty. I would definitely recommend a all inclusive. Money well spent.

We stayed here last week and had a great time. Lovely hotel and pool area but especially the animation team was great. Their energy was always so high and so friendly and they put on great entertainment every night 💃🕺

We spend 5 days here in September 24. The hotel was mid range for what we've stayed at. The rooms were lovely, and it was nice that everything in the hotel was located quite close.

The food was standard all inclusive, nothing impressive. I didn't think much of the inclusive cocktails, they were straight out a machine and not great. You can upgrade for €14 a day, and you can get fresh made cocktails - which is worth it if you want a treat a few days.

The pool areas were lovely. A larger main pool, a smaller relax pool, a cool jacuzzi section and a small kids shallow pool.

Activity wise, we felt the place was lacking. Very little on in the evenings, and not much to do - you're better off going for a walk in the evenings and discovering the area.

We'd booked a relatively cheap week away and decided to stay here as it was about 30% cheaper than other hotels.

Because of that we came away with fairly low expectations but we're thankfully really impressed by the hotel and the staff.

Fantastic, attentive and friendly service from the staff. Good facilities and rooms.

The entertainment was quite loud on some nights, even in our room (we were right next to it), thankfully the staff were quite strict with sound and it was usually finished by 11pm. There were a few small concerns that ultimately one could have likely complained about and be moved rooms I'm sure but it wasn't enough of an issue to bother us for a few nights.

The hallways to rooms felt a little tired, but the rooms and main sections of the hotel were in good condition and very comfortable.

Food was the sort of thing you'd expect at an all inclusive hotel, but lots of options and reasonable quality. My wife, fussy 6 year old and I had no issues finding something for us at each meal.

As with anywhere sunbeds were all reserved by about 6am and then went unused for most the morning. On a few occasions we did see staff members putting out notices and removing towels but it would have been nice to have seen a little more of this

The only negative is that the 3 pools were 0.5m, 1.2m and 1.4m deep in the shallowest sections respectively which unfortunately meant only the shallowest pool was suitable for our daughter without aid (she is not a confident swimmer), it's nothing major and we still had a great time using the facilities and exploring the nearby beach.

A nice hotel and location, we had a lovely holiday, nice room and all staff friendly. I have given three stars just based on food allergies and the adult pool.

Reception

I emailed reception a few weeks before check in, to ask about beach towels and safe the room. I had a really quick and professional reply. Friendly staff at the hotel when we checked in, sorted the safe straight away (€2 a day) and during the stay always someone there who was helpful and spoke perfect English. We arranged a late check out the day before leaving, was no bother and reasonable price. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Restaurant

Clean and well laid out. Good selection of food from the buffet areas, lovely fresh bread, salads abs cheeses. Breakfast nice and made to order omelettes.

The only issue is the signage for allergies, no nuts noted and at breakfast all the pastries have nuts or Nutella. Staff helpful but not really aware of dangers, and some guests using peanut cutlery in other food items.

Outside seating not open at lunch and dinner, but if you ask they will set the table for you and is nice to be in fresh air and not too hot in the evening as the sun is off that area.

Burger bar

Always busy and mostly well stocked. Pigeons are a pain, and bird mess on around. Evening are nice as plenty of seating and outside space. Near to the entertainment. The bar is always busy.

Rooms

Nice size rooms, easy to get safe working in the room. Lovely big walk on showers and own soaps that's smell amazing.

Easier to buy coffee pods from the Spar down the hill once they run out.

Adult pool

We used this area a few times and is lovely area and pool, great views and nice affinity pool. There are clean toilets. The only issue is that people leave towels on the beds and leave them for hours while they go off for food, drink etc. Shame people take it for granted. Very frustrating when they come back and just walk off.

There is a great view point behind the adult pool, to get to you have to leave the hotel and go around, worth it at sunset.

To the beach is easy, down the hill or down the steps, which gives a nice view of the sea.

Nice hotel towels from reception.
