Lovely hotel, great views from stunning location, room was spotless , serviced daily with Aircon, tea/coffee facilities, excellent shower, very modern , balcony overlooking beach. The food was pretty good overall, although the grill night was a disappointment. Plenty of food and drinks 24hr , Sports bar , theatre bar , pool bars , very good gymnasium, pools very clean and plenty of sunbeds even when busy . Lifts to all levels (9 floors)
Hotel is located at the top of a hill/ cliff, so walking to beach is only for the dedicated walkers , but there is a shuttle bus to beach running regularly . Staff super friendly and always willing to help , Catch coach to beach and walk to other nearby locations and enjoy drinks and food in other bars , tapas ,pizza , fish restaurants . Would definitely recommend, and will certainly revisit.

I love this hotel. I'd been many times in the past with my late husband. I'm now a solo traveller and feel perfectly fine here. Everyone is so polite, from checking in at reception to all the dining room staff and especially the lady cleaning the room. I'm here now and have an injured leg and she got me a spare cushion ,so I could sit with my leg raised. My room request was also heard, I'd asked for a room near the lift and I got one . This is my second time travelling as a solo traveller.

The food was mid, which is impressive for such a huge hotel. Rooms were small, but had seaviews. Location is very challenging on top of a massive cliff with sheer walls. The pools were the shallowest ever, and very busy. Overall, nothing luxury at all. Basic and workable.

Lovely all inclusive hotel in Amadores with impressive views and an amazing staff.
Focused for families and situated in a cliff, this beautiful and all inclusive hotel will give you the time that you need ti get away from the world by yourself or with family.
Kids clubs, shows every night, a bus completely free to go take to down to the beach, and 24h of services. The only part I did not enjoy was that the water temperature was higher than I expected and for August. But still, I enjoyed my stay in and planning to be back in winter.
Focused for families and situated in a cliff, this beautiful and all inclusive hotel will give you the time that you need ti get away from the world by yourself or with family.

I hate to say it, but unfortunately the reviews you read on here are true, at least they were for us. We were another group to add to this illness list.
Let's start with the good first. The hotel it self is absolutely stunning. One of the most beautiful and well maintained hotels I've even stayed in. Incredible views wherever you look, spotlessly clean everywhere, 3 pools with hundreds of surrounding sunbeds so you'll always find a spot, nice variety of food available all day, drinks on tap you pour yourself so no waiting at the bar (unless you want cocktails or hot drinks), staff will bend over backwards to do what they can for you and are beyond polite. From this side of things, we can't complain.
Now for the bad: we travelled in a group of 4 (3 adults and 1 child) and each one of us over different times of the holiday was violently ill. Violently. We don't know what it was, but as others have said, we can only assume it has come from the food or drink. Every now and again, you will overhear other guests talking about being unwell, so you know it's not just affecting you. This place would be so deserving of a high 5 stars on here, but there is *something* hygienically wrong going on backstage that needs to be sorted out.

The hotel was beautiful. The food however was not great. I personally think it was too greasy and was the same each day.
The pools were the biggest let down, no floats or games allowed. No ball games, nothing. Not great if you're with friends/family.
The location is out of the way of most things. The view is beautiful though.
Overall, it's a nice hotel. I don't think I'd choose to go again.

This would be a 5 star hotel if the rooms were maintained. Can't fault the staff. Always helpful, service is something else! They are there to help you. Use your manners and you pretty much get what you want.
Clean, full of activities and a great view. A very relaxing holiday.

We were so anxious after reading all the reviews however we did not get ill the 6 days we was here as we was constantly using hand sanitizer and being wary of certain foods. We did heard the man above us throwing up through the night though.
The staff are incredibly supportive and kind and the room and view was insane.
The hotel is on a cliff so you have to take a coach (which is free) to the beach and it takes 5 minutes.
Please do not let bad reviews of this place spoil your holiday- we had such an amazing time!

We call it Riu Vomitar.
We spent our summer vacation at this hotel, but unfortunately, it was marred by poor hygiene and an outbreak of gastrointestinal issues that completely ruined our stay. Our entire family experienced vomiting and diarrhea, and the same happened to the family in the room next to ours. One day we were all dining together, and the next day I found myself eating bread alone while my family was sick in the room.
Please consider this high risk when choosing this hotel.
While the staff was very kind, and the views and services were beautiful, the food seemed contaminated and was quite monotonous and boring, more like fast food. The hotel itself is lovely and offers excellent service, but the hygiene and food quality were significant issues.
Next time, we will be more cautious when selecting a hotel. Similar experiences in reviews should have served as a warning to us.

We had a lovely stay at the Riu Vistemar. We were 2 adults, 2 teenagers and a 10 year old. We really enjoyed the food. Very good variety. Nice restaurant with sea views. Staff were friendly and helpful. The pools were nice, not too busy. Rooms very clean. Nice atmosphere in the hotel. And an easy short free bus ride to the beach. Not far from Puerto de Mogán, sweet fishing port. We had a great time, it’s a big hotel but seemed to be very well run.
