The location is brilliant. You are near all the shops and restaurants, there is about 102 steps to walk down and back up though to get to the hotel. So the room we was originally in was 310 we arrived having paid extra for one of the superior junior suites, the jacuzzi and brolly was both broken, we got moved to 606 which was so much better and bigger, the rooms are very big and spacious but I didn’t like the fact that it was 2 single beds pushed together. Now let’s move on to the food we paid for half board and only ate once at the hotel, you are better off bed and breakfast, there’s not much choice at all and the food is always just warm, half board works very weird in this hotel so it’s not like a buffet, they put starters and puddings out which again always cold and you have to order from a menu for your main, pretty much the same food everyday. The sunbeds are another issue very very low also the pool area doesn’t open until 10-11 which again I find very strange, I’ve never been to a hotel where they have opening times, I don’t think the hotel has any entertainment either, it was okay for the money we paid but I don’t think I would come back.

I should have done my homework firstly as I didn’t realise how high up the hotel was…ok walking down hills but needed a taxi to get back so didn’t venture out much….where the hotel is situated is right above the main ***** so very noisy at night until 4 am. The air con was noisy so for my 7 night stay I didn’t get much sleep. My room included a whirl pool which I didn’t use at it was absolutely filthy…I did start to fill it up but the amount of limescale that came out was disgusting. I use to work for environmental health and they would have a field day here. The room was clean and spacious apart from the shower which again wasn’t very clean especially around the drain. This is my 6th time here in 3 years. An honest review. The rooms are still very clean and comfortable. However, there are clear signs of wear and tear that could be easily rectified, such as mouldy shower sealant. Air conditioning in our room worked well, but I know others were not so fortunate. Beds are comfy, but one pillow is not enough. The cleaners are wonderful, do a great job, they are friendly and honest. The food. Breakfast is good if you don't count the coffee, which is vile, so I would advise taking your own and having a coffee before going down for breakfast. Sadly, the fresh orange juice machine is no longer there. Usually, there are 3 types of cut fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, pastries, breads, full English, pancakes, and waffles. Cocktails are fantastic and thankfully have remained that way. Dinner.... sadly, this has gone really downhill over the last few years. Choices were odd, and taste was poor. For example my daughter had sole one evening and there was no mention of a sauce, it came smeared with a thick coat of some sort of Teryaki or BBQ sauce, far too rich for delicate fish. Starters tended to be derived from the previous nights meals. For 25€ per head with supplements of €4 for certain dishes you are far better to walk to the centre where there are many lovely restaurants which sell delicious meals well within this budget. I do love this hotel but I am disappointed with the decline. Be wary of the umbrellas at the pool. Despite being very heavy, one blew over on me, trapping my arm between the umbrella and metal side table. While the pool attendant helped my daughter to lift it off, I was not asked if I was ok. Unsure If I will return in the future or try another hotel. Rooms remain 4* at a push. Dinner 2*, breakfast 3*.
