Very nice place, lovely beach area. We appreciated the hotel garden. The breakfast was fantastic. We spent an unforgatable time time here, although we stoped for only one night.

We stayed in Barcelo Cabo Dr Gata for a week after an Andalusia tour. The hotel is located in a small town very close to Almeria airport (we could watch the airport and plane traffic from our hotel balcony). The town can be reached by car or by public bus (which costs 1.5 €). The area is rather quiet, you can reach the beach via ~5 minute walk. The beach is a rocky one, like most beaches in this region...

Really enjoyed the holiday at the hotel, the staff all seamed to understand my poor attempts at speaking Spanish and the service was very good. At times the choices at meal times were slightly limited but there was always something which I liked. The hotel is mainly full of Spanish guests which I enjoyed.

The primary factors that bothered me consisted of the fact that food options for lunch were very limited with the snack bar charging unreasonable amounts but the rice restaurant had a bit more variety with Paella, fish, and burger. Very nice hotel located near the bus stop (where you can take the bus and make shopping in Almeria). In my opinion the hotel truly deserves for the fifth star because of delicious cusine.

Nice hotel. Friendly staff and good amenities and pool! Enjoyed the gym. They had live music in the evenings (stayed Monday- Wednesday) , on site bar and restaurant with good food and loved the comfort of the rooms filled with natural light and a great patio. We upgraded to a room that opened to the pool area with a fenced in back lounging area and were very happy with it. Nice clean hotel and friendly staff, very quiet area, need to get a bus into the city as there's only a few tapas bars down the road and some on the plaza across the road from the hotel.

The hotel staff are excellent, as is the food, rooms, pools, fast WiFi and amenities. There is a lovely children's play area in the shade. And a nice Spa with excellent treatments.

We stayed at Ohtels Cabogata in July 2024 on an all-inclusive Jet2 package. Very quick and easy transfer from Almería airport. All staff friendly and helpful (and patient with us when we spoke Spanish). Plenty of sunbeds, not reservable, very sensibly and politely used. Staying here at the moment. Suites are huge. Balcony on small side. Views over golf course and mountains. Having a lovely time. It is very busy at weekends but we havnt had any issues getting sunbeds by the pool. It's the first hotel I've stayed in for a while where people don't put towels on sun beds and then don't use them although this may be different in high season. Food has been fine and staff...

The hotel is trying to be more modern and fashion with the graphics and pictures across the building but you will find old furnitures in the rooms. Perfect for few nights as the rooms are big and comfortable. Be aware the breakfast does not have too many options and there are mosquitos everywhere

This is the best place we have stayed in Almeria! We needed somewhere local to stay as my mum was in hospital... Staff were very friendly and helpful, both reception and breakfast staff. Reception staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. Rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean, cleaned every day, and the whole hotel was very clean also. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel looks stunning, clean and the staff is friendly. Their rooms for 3 people are quite cramped though and lack a small balcony. Located at a 30 minute walk from the centre of Almería, there is plenty of good places to eat around this hotel. Breakfast was well presented, clean, diverse and overall very tasty.

Visited Almeria for 3 days. The location perfect to see the sights and walk to the beach. The room was a good size and perfectly clean. The bed was large and comfortable. Air conditioning in the room was perfect very little sound and always a nice temperature. The staff were all very friendly and breakfast was excellent. We couldn't fault this hotel.

Nice hotel between the beach and the city. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Great helpful staff who can speak English. My only complaints would be that the beds are a bit hard and there are no balconies. The only outside common area is also a public access path from the train/bus stations.

It was an OK stay. Nicely located, near the bus station, with plenty of stores and restaurants nearby. It was clean, the staff was helpful and nice. Wi-Fi is okay and the room was spacious. But the floor of the room was squeaky, and the walls are super thin, so you won't get a decent night of sleep. Also, the TV is super slow and the bed covers are strange... They don't provide a lot of amenities aside...

Excellent location, approx a 15min stroll to the beach and playa, also bus and rail station. Almeria city, one of the less over crowded places to wonder around in Spain in the cooler times of the day and year, with a wide and varied selection of shops etc, and great tapas bar.

Good basic hotel in the centre of town. Rooms are clean and shampoo/ soap is provided. Reception is friendly and helpful as well as manned 24 hrs. Parking is a bit tricky but I was always able to find a free space if you look in the residential area between hotel and plaza de toros. Except Friday nights when they limit parking for the market next day. In that case you can use the underground parking...

A good place with one problem - poor WiFi. I couldn't get a signal in my third floor room. I was able to get service in the first floor lounge. Otherwise, I had a nice room with a comfortable bed and good heater. Good hot water in the shower. Very quiet at night. And good location with lots of restaurants and shops within a few blocks. They just need to get better WiFi.

Fantastic location for a start. The reception staff are extremely helpful. The room was small but had everything needed, the bed was so comfortable! Also it was a nice and quiet room. The best part is the wonderful rooftop terrace where you can sit and relax and look at the view!

The hotel had just been refurbished so few snagging problems which didn't spoil our stay. Very helpful friendly staff. Would have been nice to have seats on the balcony and extra pillows. Breakfast not really worth the extra €14.00, a few nearby cafés were really good.

Was a bit sceptical after reading some reviews but we just finished our holiday after the renovations and it was great! Everything was new and clean. The breakfast was great and really appreciated having items like eggs made fresh. You have standard items like bacon, eggs, beans, but also fruit and pastries. We liked the room and slept well - it was not loud at all. The area was very good, quite close...

Its a 3 star Hotel really. Cheap but clean, very basic rooms. Dinner buffet looked very limited, small pool with attached bar. Nice Italian restaurant across the road though. Stayed here for one night, about a miles walk from the bus station, believe there are buses from the bus station if required. Not far from plaza De Torros. Was hard pushed to give 4 stars. Hard to find . Difficult to navigate. Let's be honest, my room was on the second floor(no lift) large heavy suitcase, dragged it up the stairs...😱😱😱 but was very surprised with a smart, no-nonsense room.. if you want to be in the center of it, stay here. Word of warning, there is no central heating, and it can be a little cold in the winter months.

We picked this hotel for it's location and reasonable rates so you always wonder if the price is for a reason....for us we got a really good stay for 2 nights. Lovely room and super shower. However hotel advertised as having air conditioning. Room far too hot, and asked about it and told not available until the summer but room over 25 degrees in March 24, which led to a very hot night, and poor sleep. Helpful staff, clean rooms, modern styled and free WiFi through out hotel. Lovely pool area and functional little gym....equipment a little disappointing for serious fitness buffs. The hotel is simple. It's well located. I really liked the breakfast (bread with tomato and ham was a plus), and the service was very good, both from the coffee maker and at reception. I especially appreciated the 1.5-liter bottle of water they gave me upon arrival and the small refrigerator in the room. As a 4-star hotel I was expecting more. The breakfast buffet was not surprising at all. The card to the room had several times problems with the activation. No water boiler with coffee or tea in the superior room. The staff was friendly and the location great. Work with the details to defend four stars.

I didn't know what to expect from this hotel, seeing as the overall total for 3 nights was surprisingly low, but I can definitely say now that I was pleasantly surprised. This is a recently opened hotel with wonderful hosts. Every attention has been paid to the details of the decoration of the rooms. The small Arabic-style courtyard is delightful and peaceful. The terrace on the roof with small plunge pool and seating area is an added bonus. Breakfast is lovely and the hosts are very attentive, although at 12€ per person it could perhaps be a couple of euros cheaper...

It's a very nice hotel,clean and very well appointed. Very close and I mean very close to the Cathedral, as you hear the bells on the half hour. But we didn't find this annoying, in fact the opposite. The air conditioning works well and the beds are comfortable.
