Hotel is on a plaza with significant construction including jack hammers going all day long. Their website says nothing about construction. Parking is a distant walk at a public parking facility. Finding the hotel is also difficult because of the construction. Rooms are basic nothing special. Spa wasn’t worth it and lacked basic facilities such as showers, towels and changing rooms. Staff is not at all helpful. Front desk staff are generally unhelpful and seemingly unhappy they have guests. While breakfast was just average the person keeping things in order was very nice. She was the high point of the stay. Finally we made the mistake of forgetting an item and the staff could not have been worse in terms of assistance. We were told we needed to arrange a pick up and COD delivery or come back to the hotel, now over 200 miles away. Their recommended shippers would not pick up and when I asked if they could simply drop the item at the UPS store literally steps away from the hotel, they said absolutely not. There is a reason it is called hospitality and they are anything but. Stay there at your own great risk.

Be warned about the spa experience, they do not communicate fully the final sale nature of the massage/spa experience. First when I scheduled a massage they did not explain that the 8pm appointment time started with a mandatory 1 hour pool session so the massage actually started at 9pm. Unfortunately I learned this while disrobing in the spa area and it was extremely embarrassing to say the least. Immediately I chose to just cancel this experience because I was uninformed what I had signed up for. When canceling I wasn’t notified that it was final sale and there would be no refund or partial refund. I understand why there is a no refund policy on a service like a massage and it makes total sense, my complaint is that there’s was not clear communication about the service (both on the menu or spoken in person). If you’re looking to book a spa experience just double check the service you’re actually getting and the lack of refund policy.

We stayed in the hotel on 29.09.2024 for 2 nights.Hotel is in the old town with bars and restaurants around.Be aware of that most of the restaurants open at 20:00.A chose this hotel for my birthday trip .I booked directly on the hotel website a junior suite and based on the photos it should have had 2 lovely terrace doors opening to a great fortress view.In reality , it wasn't like that at all.Our junior suite was 213.It was a split level room.( landing, bedroom level and top level)You arrived on a "landing", basicly in the bathroom. To acess the bedroom you had to go down about 5 stairs ( no handrail) .The 1 single window faced to the fortress which was a lovely view but the whole square in front of us was a construction site with really loud construction noise ( like breaking concrete at 9:00 o'clock in the morning until 18:00 in the evening) Our bed cover was ripped , used cigarettes in the small balcony. To acess the top level of the room you had to go up 6 stairs, no handrail again. The ceiling's hight was so low that my husband who is 176 cm , his head almost reached the ceiling. You had to be really careful if you needed the toilet at night. There is 1 small wardrobe in the room.I think not suitable for 2 people staying more than 1-2 nights. ( wardrobe was really pretty, but no doors on it )Roof top terrace is lovely but had the same noise from the construction area.Roof top pool is really small.I would say maybe 6 people can stay in the pool at the same time. This hotel doesn't have any garages.Even unpacking our case from our car was difficult, no any help offered. We parked our car in a public car park about 300 m from the hotel and struggeled with all the stairs inside and outside of the hotel. The reason why I don't recommend this hotel is because should have been much more infromation on their website about all the problems with construction and take to customers attention that these rooms with split levels are not recommended for families with children , nor to older people.

Would have been five stars but - no bath in the "mini suite" (hotels whose rooms don't have baths are budget hotels in my opinion); the hotel doesn't have a bar! Roof top pool and no bar? We booked a mini suite but ti was really just a large room - i.e. no sofa.

On the positive the service, location and accomodation were all very, very good. The pool experience was something unforgettable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The room was fantastic...fabulous huge comfy bed. The shower was great. The staff were amazing and the restaurant and chef were especially fantastic. The hot tubs were the highlight of the stay, soothing and relaxing. The only thing I would like is tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Otherwise this is a great hotel and highly recommended.

Amazing spa experience. All the staff are very helpful and spotless throughout. Our first room was a little noisy, but we were upgraded without any problems. Would return.

A deception honestly. We paid a lot for our room, only to find out upon arrival that spa and massages were fully booked. Pool is waaay smaller than the pictures make it seem. Breakfast was also sold out. Room itself is small and not that new.

A lovely boutique hotel, reasonably priced, great, central location, within 20 minutes of the airport, beaches and key local attractions and amenities, including the hotels own ancient baths and rooftop heated pool. Will stay again.

We stayed at this spa hotel for two nights in the junior suite. The hotel's location is excellent, situated next to restaurants, a cathedral, and a fortress, and it's quite quiet at night.

The suite, remarkable for a 4-star hotel, is bathed in natural light with a fantastic view of the fortress. The bed is comfortable, and the bathtub is a nice spot to relax and watch something on a laptop.

The breakfast is okay – not too fancy, but it includes everything you need to fill your stomach: fruits, coffee, eggs, and fresh bread. A significant advantage of the breakfast is its rooftop location, which provides a great view and the amazing weather of Almeria. Additionally, there's a heated pool on the same rooftop which is nice for chilling with any beverages.

The ancient baths are a great attraction for unwinding alone or with a loved one. Inside, no phones are allowed, creating a comfortable atmosphere with dim lighting, mostly candlelit, and ambient music.

The staff at the reception is friendly and helpful, and the lady running the morning breakfasts is also doing her best.

Amazing views at the roof terrace and very good breakfast with the views on this terrace. The bath on the roof is hot water (at least 55 degrees Celsius). The rooms are big and modern, but our room was quite noisy. Especially the button sound of the elevator you hear multiple times a minute which is disturbing your night rest (the lift itself you actually don't hear). I would suggest the staff has a look at this.

All in all good hotel.
P.s. If you do not like the pillows (I didn't) you can ask for other ones at the reception.
