I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for families with toddlers. While it advertises as a family-friendly place, it’s really more suited for older kids. There’s no kiddie pool, and there aren’t many activities for little ones.

The most uncomfortable part of our stay was a middle-aged man who kept showing up at the mini disco and seemed to be following my son. It made us very uneasy, and I feel like the hotel should do more to ensure a safe environment for children.

The rooms were spacious, but they weren’t very clean—there was dust and dirt under the bed.

The only highlight was the black entertainer—he was fantastic with the kids, full of energy, and really made an effort to create a fun atmosphere.

Overall, our experience wasn’t great, and I wouldn’t stay here again.

I’ve given 3 stars due the food. It was awful. Nothing went with anything. The worst food I’ve ever had in a hotel. The chips and pizza were the only decent food. We were all inclusive but ended up going out most evenings to the restaurants down the hill.
The location is good and lovely views. Though Some less mobile people might struggle walking up the hill to hotel.
The rooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable. Had great sleep every night.
Rooms could have been cleaner. The floor was filthy and wasn’t mopped once during our week long stay.
This could be a great hotel if it wasn’t let down by the food.

Generally speaking, a nice stay in a nice hotel.
The staff are mostly very nice. One member was staggeringly rude and ignorant. We only ever saw and interacted with her once.
The food was great and I'm a fussy sod. The only thing I would have liked to seen during meal times was more of a selection of desserts that weren't cold, I have sensitive teeth and can't do cold stuff etc.
Rooms were actually quite nice, very quiet and had nice bathrooms.
The in room AC was a bit lack luster and constantly put out dust around the room.
The lifts felt like a death trap, always rattling, knocking and one of them jumped around quite a lot, we did complain (like others) but nothing happened the whole time we were there.
The roof top bar was very nice and peaceful, with a small pool, a bar area, restaurant and large seating and relaxation area.
The location was quite good for views and lots of peace and quiet but it was a bit of a trek on pavements that were dodgy to say the least and weirdly had lamp posts stuck right in the middle of them.
But... Overall, it was OK.

The hotel is really nice. Rooms and general hotel area kept to a high degree of cleanliness. Staff helpful and friendly.
Only 2 things let it down. We stayed on a B&B basis so only had breakfast but found this could have been better. Some of the food in the hot buffet was cold/warm. The food containers were not replenished in a timely fashion. The other issue was the free bus into town. Considering the size of the hotel, there should have been multiple buses paid on and more frequent as we never got to use it due to sheer demand.
Based on the cleanliness of the hotel and the staff helpfulness and friendliness I would still recommend

The hotel grounds are truly beautiful, with plenty of comfortable lounging options for relaxation. The service is excellent, and the staff is very friendly, speaking several languages – it makes you feel welcome right away. There are many activities available, like a great pool and evening program, bike rentals, and a spa, which makes the stay varied and family-friendly.

The food is fine, served as a buffet – everything is good, but nothing exceptional. However, the vegan options could be more extensive, or a dedicated veggie section would be appreciated. The rooms are mostly clean, but if you look closely, you might find something to nitpick.

A major downside is that the safe costs extra – this should be included in a hotel of this category. If you’re a fan of good coffee or espresso, it’s better to avoid it in-house.

Overall, we had a lovely time and would happily come back.

We had booked at Gloria Palace on an all inclusive to celebrate a special occasion with family couples. On arrival we were greeted with a glass of prosecco which was welcomed on a hot day. When we went to our room, I was a bit disappointed as there was a palm tree in front of the balcony which blocked our view of the sea. I spoke to service manager Alberto Delgado who was very pleasant and said that he would give us a different room the following day.
I can’t believe that he went out of his way to give us a wonderful room on the 5th floor, and made our holiday that much more memorable.
All the service desk staff and the restaurant staff were very pleasant and helpful, the hotel was clean and the ambience was fantastic. There were plenty of sun beds around the pool area, the entertainment was good, but at times music was a bit to loud if you wanted to get to go to sleep early.
The food was good and you won’t go hungry, and staff were quick at clearing up the plates made effort to make sure you were looked after.
The hotel provides a free shuttle service Playa del Inglés and Maspalomas, you can walk to the Playa de San Agustín beach which is about 10mins walk down a hill from the hotel.
All in all a fantastic holiday at Gloria Palace San Agustín.

Just back from 11 days at the gloria palace. Staff very friendly rooms very clean and spacious nice pool bar and loads of sunbed. Roof top bar excellent gorgeous strawberry daquiri and views are spectacular. Only thing let it down was the evening entertainment seamed that sang same songs and not very well organised and all rooms look over onto stage which dont stop till 11.30pm if your lucky. Shopping centre only 10 mins walk away has 2 supermarkets. Cant fault all staff from restaurants reception bar and cleaners. Great walks from hotel too. Noticed the staff assisted a wheelchair guy into the pool and out again and used a pool chair it also has a gentle slope to help with the 100% for this work

I booked this hotel for my first solo trip away as I have an extremely hectic busy life and I just needed life to stop and reset. I booked for 2 weeks half board and it was an amazing hotel. Beautiful interior and great lay out!! The cleanliness is 100%. the rooms are cleaned every day with fresh bedding, fresh towels everyday and a few bottles of water are put in the room free of charge daily.
Rooms were spacious and clean with a spacious balcony (table and chairs) , amazing view (I got a sea view room on 4th floor), there’s a TV, couch, fridge, plenty of wardrobe space and a really nice modern bathroom! You could choose if you wanted the maid to come in daily leaving a sign on the door!

The pool area was clean, I read reviews before going of people saying they had trouble getting sun loungers but being on my own I never had an issue with that! The spa is amazing (have to pay extra) I had a few treatments and used the indoor spa pool a few times to relax. All the staff were amazing and friendly!!

I’d say for a solo traveller or for your first holiday alone this hotel is perfect! Everything is so close together and it feels like a safe environment. My balcony was just a perfect view so I could watch the nightly entertainment from there if I wanted to if I didn’t feel like coming down to the main area. The roof top bar was beautiful the staff were really friendly and the food was delicious! (have to pay extra to use the pool up there in the day if you want to sunbathe up there)

The waiting staff for meals were amazing and quick to serve you and clear any plates/glasses away they were always on the ball. My favourite waiter there was Araceli Perez very warm and welcoming and beautiful and always served with a smile! She gave me a sense of comfort with me having my first solo holiday so I’d like to say thank you to her for that!! Best waiter there and great at her job!!

The only downsides I find in the hotel and this was more of a flaw is sometimes being asked what my room number was for drinks orders without any proof of my card. ( I always preferred to pay there and then or scan my room card as I was half board) this concerned me a little as anybody could say a random room and add on drinks to somebody’s bill. They need to ensure a room key is present every time and prove your room number, also being a solo traveller I didn’t feel comfortable saying my room number out loud. That’s the only flaw I found and this was more in the day time around the pool bars as dinner waiters always scanned your card so that was fine!

The beach and a shopping centre were only a short walk away, hotel called you taxis if you needed them. You got given a towel for your sun lounger, food was great! It was the perfect environment for a chilled relaxing holiday and I came back feeling brand new!

Overall amazing first solo holiday experience and I loved it that much I’ve booked to come back next September already for another break. amazing hotel! Would recommend

This hotel is very good, staff are brilliant and the location of the rooms looking towards the sea and the entertainment is incredible. I think this is a perfect hotel for a family and couples. The location is a bit out of the way, not too bad if you’re looking for a quieter holiday. There is a local shopping centre with a few restaurants and the beach isn’t too much of a walk. The lovely reception will happily order a taxi that will arrive in about a few minutes we have never waited more than five minutes. Would definitely recommend.
You probably need to buy a lot of taxis depending on what type of holiday you’re looking for. The food is okay, we were only on the breakfast board, the only thing I would improve on in the area is adding hash browns. Would definitely recommend for the price. Also entertainment at night is fabulous, always have great singers on til late. The hotel itself is gorgeous and always very well cleaned, will make sure we share this with our friends and family.

Our recent stay at Gloria Palace San Agustín was a mixed experience, to say the least. While there were some notable positives, several areas left much to be desired.

Room and Spa Experience
:
The hotel rooms were quite nice, offering a comfortable and pleasant stay. However, the standout feature of this hotel is undoubtedly the spa. It was lovely and provided a relaxing escape, arguably the best aspect of our stay.

Arrival and Initial Impressions:
We arrived with a young baby on a delayed flight at 11:30 PM, only to find no cot in my sister’s room as previously arranged. After numerous calls to reception, we were initially provided with a broken cot with filthy, black stains on the mattress, definitely not fit for purpose. It wasn't until 2:30 AM, after further insistence, that we finally received a safe and clean cot. By this time, my niece was very upset, making for an unpleasant start to our holiday. One staff member at reception was extremely unhelpful and did not make our request a priority, despite our family having confirmed via email that a cot would be provided.

Dining Experience
:
Unfortunately, the dining experience was underwhelming. The food was very similar each night and consistently cold. The buffet layout contributed to pure chaos during meal times, and the staff struggled to keep up with restocking, especially when the hotel was busy, which was almost always.

Pool and Sun Beds:
Securing a sun bed was a daily challenge. They were often reserved early in the morning, but many remained unoccupied for hours, with no staff enforcing any policy to prevent this. Additionally, there were not enough umbrellas for all the beds, so we frequently had to hunt for shade, which was particularly inconvenient with a young baby in our family.

Entertainment and Activities:
The kids' mini disco was a hit, providing great entertainment for the little ones. However, the other entertainment offerings were quite average. Another frustration was the complicated process for getting drinks. You always needed your room card, despite wearing an all-inclusive wristband, and it was often unclear which drinks were included.

A Disappointing Dinner
:
A highlight of our trip was my boyfriend proposing to me on the roof terrace at the Gorbea restaurant. Unfortunately, the service fell short. Despite my family arranging for champagne, it never arrived, and our requested table wasn't available. Service was so slow that we ended up leaving, tarnishing what should have been a special moment. Additionally, one staff member's sarcastic "bye" as we left was very unprofessional. Christian, the only fantastic staff member, was the exception. For a better dining experience, I recommend the Greek Taverna in San Agustín, which had much nicer food, staff, and ambiance.

General Ambiance and Service:
The hotel felt overcrowded and chaotic everywhere we went. Many staff members were rude and seemed indifferent to guests' needs. Despite voicing our complaints during our stay, the team’s response was disappointing. They offered us bed vouchers for the roof terrace, which was lovely, but then tried to charge us on check-out. This disorganisation and lack of professionalism was frustrating. We met other UK holiday-goers who had similar complaints, particularly about the cold food, yet no improvements were made.

Security Concerns
:
To add to the chaos, items were stolen from our sun beds while we were at lunch or in the pool. So I would recommending keeping your belongings with you at all times.

Conclusion
:
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend Gloria Palace San Agustín. Perhaps booking on a bed-and-breakfast basis might be better value, but be prepared for crowded breakfasts and a fight for sun beds. The hotel’s day pass policy likely contributes to the over-crowding, making it a less pleasant stay for guests staying for a week plus. For those seeking a relaxing and well-managed holiday experience, this hotel might not meet expectations.
