Just returned from a very relaxing stay here. The staff were very friendly and attentive.
There was lots of choice of food and drinks on the all inclusive option. It was not just our suitcases overweight in the way back!
The rooms were as expected, a little tired but huge. The key code for our room was soooo long though.
Location wise, it’s a bit of a walk to get anywhere but there is a shuttle bus from the hotel (occasionally) and the local busses are super easy. There are some really lovely places to visit not too far away.
We had a fabulous view of the golf course from our room.
In the evenings we walked to Holiday World a few times to keep the teenage kids amused, they also loved the bingo nights at the hotel 😂
It really was a peaceful and relaxing stay.

I am writing this with a couple of days left, on our first family holiday to Suite Hotel Jardin Dorado.

It has been a great holiday experience here. The resort is 1.7 miles from Maspolamas and there is a free shuttle bus to take you there, the beach and the sand dunes (all the same stop).

Suite Hotel Jardin Dorado is a resort with individual bungalows set in an arc around the swimming pool and restaurant/bar facilities. There are plenty of sun-beds and less parasols. No real tussle to get a bed before 10am but can be busier in the afternoon. There are 5 family/large beds which get taken early.
The pool has a lifeguard from 10am-6pm & a young lady offers aqua aerobics at 12.30pm 5 days a week. Music she plays is quite loud & off putting for some!
She offers children’s activities colouring, card and ball games etc More catered for young children.
Pool is in 3 sections with jacuzzi and various fountains.

The food selection. Is good, with hot and cold dishes, fruit and deserts and selection of alcoholic and soft drinks. There is also a snack menu if you get hungry between set meal times. We ordered (paid) for a pizza once.

Opposite the resort is a well stocked supermarket. We bought lilos from here, my advice spend a bit more as the cheapest ones only last 3-4 days.

The rooms are good, open plan with 2 singles (put together for a double) a sofa bed & tv that swings from the sitting area to the bed area. The bathroom includes a twin basin, toilet and walk in shower with rainfall & standard shower. Shower gel, shampoo & soap provided and clean towels daily.
Bed linen changed every few days. We only discovered the small courtyard area on the back of the property after a few days. The lock was a touch stiff but it was great to find a clothes drying rack here, which also benefits from the air-con unit giving off heat. Ie drying clothes even quicker.
The air-con is very noisy & can be loud through the night, my advice is switch it off or bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Free WiFi all round the complex but a very temperamental signal.

Staff are amazing. Samuel (cream waistcoat) the restaurant manger is an amazing people person. Makes you feel welcome and can offer great insight on places to go. The restaurant/bar staff all want to make your time here a good experience.

At night (8pm) the young lady offers a 30-40 minutes children’s dance (baby Shark etc). Again a bit loud for us as we liked to sit outside to eat but as far away from the music/speaker. Then there is live music (covers of old and not so old songs). We didn’t feel pressured to move on from our table, after eating. It seemed more guests wanted to eat inside the air conditioned restaurant areas.

Beach towels can be hired from reception and safe deposit key for the safe deposit box in the rooms. Room locks are PIN code entrance which saved having to carry a key but you do need to memorise the code or like me, refer to your phone/picture.

There is a small gym & treatment rooms, we didn’t use these on our stay.

Didn’t see any launderette facility & there wasn’t a kettle in our room. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom though!

We only went into Maspolmas once to the shops & for lunch. The restaurants have the manager stood outside trying to draw you in, I’ve always found this off putting. This time, I just pointed to my all inclusive wristband, imitated I’m already full, smiled and walked on, this made them leave us alone. Nice shops with designer clothes and perfumes etc.
There’s also the beach, sand dunes and bird sanctuary nearby. I ran to the town & back a few times, it was very hot but be careful of the very poor tiled pavements & high kerbs.

We really enjoyed a trip to Puerto de Mogán, a pretty fishing village/town with harbour and beach. Decided to get a taxi there and back €40 each way. Friday is market day & apparently very busy, we went on a Tuesday.

Finally we would return to this resort, we met two other families that were returning for the second time. This speaks volumes. We had an amazing relaxing holiday here.

Just landed this morning back into the UK after staying here. Must say what a lovely little gem. I was a tad sceptical reading some reviews. Here are my thoughts.

1. Rooms (bungalows) are perfectly fine and have a front patio and a read patio for hanging up clothes. Big bungalow and had all the amenities we needed. Could do with a refresh. But everything was more than fine.

2. Staff are wonderful, happy and welcoming. Always willing to talk and always willing to help.

3. Pools was a great size and plenty beds available.

4. We only had breakfast which was more than enough. I will say lunchtime food did look a little bland and we chose not to eat here during our stay.

5. Location, a 20 minute brisk walk to Yumbo. Taxi was 7 euros and plenty buses heading regularly, situated on the side of a gold course with great views of the mountains.

6. The place was overall absolutely fine and lived up to expectations. We paid a fair price and I think everything was up to the price standard

Would absolutely stay here again

All inclusive was very nice and tasteful-however during the week the dishes were ofter dirty and ran out.
The hotel itself was very comfortable and peaceful. Staff was extremely nice.
Hotel location is a bit far from costal line and shops but the hotel bus goes several times in a day. The gym at the hotel and the possibility to play tennis, golf and padel in the property next to the hotel were a very big plus! Clean swimming pools with quite a refreshing water temperature. This hotel did not offer any activities by the pool area.

We stayed one week in December. The rooms are spacious and quiet. The garden and the pool are very nice. Small but well equipped gym. The restaurant is buffet only and it is not good quality, so we were happy of having chosen the bread and breakfast option. The position of the hotel is quite isolated, so it's difficult to find restaurants walking distance. However, there are free buses to the beach and regular buses to several destinations, plus taking a taxi to Meloneras costs around 5 euro. Overall, it's a good hotel for a relaxing holiday, but don't expect services at a 4 star hotel level.

At first arrival I thought this place was cute, your own little bungalow that's mostly tidy and up to date decor. Until I realised that was the only good points about the hotel :/ I don't know where the people who have left reviews have been staying but this place should be a 2 star. In the pictures it looks like there's more than 1 pool but it's a small pool for the amount the people that stay here and you have to be up around 6-7am to get a bed, there are signs everywhere stating you can't reserve beds but the staff have done nothing when all people do is reserve beds. We have been here a week and have been unable to sit around the pool (i aint getting up at 6am for a bed!) They don't speak much English and do not seem best pleased to help, the bar staff (one man in particular) are very rude and huff and puff when he sees you want to be served, if you don't tell him immediately exactly what you want he will serve someone else! You don't get complementary tea or coffee (which I know is silly but I like my morning coffee) and the coffee here taste awful ? and the food! The food taste frozen and is exactly the same day in day out... no Spanish cuisine which was surprising and even the barbeque was tasteless and extremely dry! If you stay here do not go all inclusive! Much nicer places to eat outside! It advertises a gym but I've been here a week and haven't found this gym yet. We booked an excursion with the hotel and was told the pick up was a 5 minute walk which in actual fact took half an hour there and back in the blistering heat! Plus the pickup point was literally on a main roundabout??!!! So disappointed with this place especially when we have seen stunning hotels on our walk abouts! Stay at the RIU hotel! Stunning to look at and looks 5 star!
The entertainment was absolutely terrible, stage was literally a mdf board and is The size of a piece of toast, finishes at 11 and so does The bar which is annoying if you want to hang out there. The best thing about this holiday was a pet dove we fed named Darren (if you do come here please feed him pringles) all in all very disappointed and has put me off coming back to this country nevermind hotel! One last thing its 2017 and the only place you can get Wi-Fi is the restaurant ?? but you can pay €20 a night to get 500mb in your room (even the receptionist said don't bother because it's terrible)

I'm on my last full day here on all inclusive, and this holiday has been brilliant. It is an absolutely beautiful location and hotel, staff are friendly the majority of the time and the food is of high quality (and served pretty much all day). Rooms were very clean and tidy upon arrival, and the outside patio area was a secluded place which was good to relax in the evening (we were on the 3rd row). Went to the shop off site a couple of times and, although it's small, it has everything you could need. The pool is of a good size for the size of the hotel, and is chlorine rather than salt water which is a bonus. There are also really friendly cats everywhere which is awesome.

The only aspect that has stopped me rating this 5* (I would rate 4.5 if possible) was their insistence on playing the same songs over and over again from the children's area extremely loudly ALL DAY. Don't get me wrong, the services they provide for the kids look second to none, but as a couple on a relaxing break, we would like quiet for at least a couple of hours a day or for the music to be played more quietly.

I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a small 4* resort at a very reasonable price; especially if you are a family. Just be wary if you are a couple as the music does play on the nerves after a while.

It was so much better than I expected. It is a great balance between cost and quality. The staff are ace, the place is clean, the hotel do activities for the guests/kids everyday at the pool. It has been sunny as heck for 10 days. Brilliant.

Lovely little hotel. Good choice of feed at the buffet ( especially considering the size of the hotel). Though some of the labelling on the buffet was a little bit and miss, for vegetarian or gluten free dishes. Staff friendly and helpful. Very clean, especially around the pool. The large pool isn't heated, so the spa pool is full of kids (we went in April) but great if you actually want to swim in the big pool. Rooms clean and comfortable, though a little short on storage space. Good location, small super market opposite and show taxi/bus ride to the beach or into town. Also quite walkable too.
