Reviews
Wonderful views, great location, very quiet.
On the down side not too much to do in winter for non Spanish. Outdoor pools not heated, the only quite small indoor pool & 2 saunas cost 24E for 90 minutes, far too much if it’s the only available pool. Charge of 3E/day for safe is a joke in this class hotel.
No door in the bathroom.
Additional beds in family room not very comfortable.
Despite that we had a very relaxing stay
The staff are polity and friendly.
For me, mom with a child there were no problem to find a place for entertainment.
A big thank to Arantxa for spending time with my son! I really appreciate that!
It’s one of the best place I’ve ever been!
The real delight began upon arrival. The staff truly make this hotel special. A big shout-out to Marina at check-in, who was both professional and exceptionally kind, surprising us with her warm welcome. She deserves high praise!
The food was outstanding, rivaling Michelin-starred restaurants, and the restaurant staff were top-notch. The whole hotel team, including the animation crew, was amazing.
The hotel's location and organization are perfect. There's something for everyone—quiet zones, family areas, fun slides, a stunning sandy beach with large seashells, breathtaking sunsets, and live music (several at the same time) to please even the most discerning guests.
A special mention goes to Ana from Guest Service. Her friendliness, joy, and professionalism made our stay even better. Thank you to the entire team for a fantastic job.
Highly recommended!
A few critiques: we wanted to extend our stay but couldn’t do this at the desk, and I needed to call a hotline. After we extended and changed rooms, we had to wait 8 hours to get our luggage again. Our late checkout was then fumbled and we were locked out of our room. We also made a spa appointment that the spa wasn’t able to fulfill without giving a reason. Oh, and be prepared for some “interesting” coffee!
General caution: the non-smoking kids’ pool area can be quite smoky, and the summer clientele seems rather arrogant to non-Spanish guests. It’s important to brush up on basic Castellan, as most personnel isn’t strong in English.
Overall, though, we really enjoyed our experience here and would return in a heartbeat!
The setup is very kids friendly with lots of fantastic activities and star camp.
Our 2.5y old daughter particularly enjoyed her time at kangaroo club (daycare) where Arantxa took great care of her with love and engagement. It’s good to see that kangaroo club is open now for the entire season and is one of the reasons we would come back.
The hotel, however, is great. It's really close to Playa La Barrosa, a loooong and wide beach of white sand. The amenities were great, housekeeping was on point and rather playful, with towel swans and boats, and little presents for our child, as well as sweets for us. Our room had a fridge and coffee machine, beds were comfortable.
The buffet restaurant offered various themed dinners and there were vegan options (but how varied and of what quality largely depended on that evening's theme). Breakfast was really solid, with an omelet station, churros, and classic continental choices. Fruit seemed mostly canned, though, but maybe that changes towards summer.
Apparently rather new, they were offering childcare for kids younger than 4, the Kangaroo Club, from 10am to 2pm and 7pm to 11pm. It was a nice surprise and we happily left our 3-year-old in Arantxa's care who seemed to easily create a connection with the little ones. (Our daughter called her the "Kangaroo Mom" after the first evening.)
In summary, it was a great experience. Should we come back, it'll surely be at a different time of the year, maybe October, just to ensure a good balance of temperature and wind.
Next is Pepe the chef at the bufet super wonderful man that every time I went to get anything from was lovely and had a delicious plate of hes food ready.
Imma the waitress was also lovely remembering all are drink orders and also was lovely and quick with everything.
And last but not least melero the bar tender he was funny making jokes made the best mojitos for me and my mum and was was lovely lovely to have conversations with really these for in particular maid my trip but everyone in general was lovely greeting us with a smile on there faces including the cleaners and that you don’t get in most places honestly some of the best service I have ever had definitely would recommend great atmosphere and lovely staff 10/10. Will be back 100% management is doing something right.
