Iberostar Royal Andalus Hotel

If you have a young family, this hotel is for you. If you don’t have a young family and you’re ok with loud children that continues beyond 11pm, then this is a hotel for you. Anyone else, I would recommend seeking another hotel. The majority of the staff are wonderful! So welcoming and warm. They work so hard and the food is wonderful. Never a complaint with the food and drinks! It’s just a shame the hotel was too loud. I appreciate children need to have fun but this hotel is designed for children and therefore VERY loud! Amazing for children but it’s not for me. Another complaint: The air con doesn’t work very well, in the room. Never feels cool/cold. Also, I’d recommend booking a room closer to the sea. Our room was next to the evening entertainment and the terrace leads onto the pool. I would avoid these rooms if you want an early night (pre midnight). There is no sound proofing. It was like the band and crowd were in our room. Even after the band finishes, the guests continue to drink outside on the terrace literally next to our room. On a positive, the sea views were phenomenal. The beach was glorious. The food and drinks were amazing. The hotel was incredibly clean. It was close to being a perfect holiday, had it not been for the noise.

Disappointing Changes – No Longer Family-Friendly pool area Iberostar used to be a fantastic destination for a family holiday. On previous visits, the children’s pool area was open, fun, and thoughtfully designed, allowing parents to comfortably supervise their children without any visual restrictions. It was a place where kids could enjoy themselves freely, and parents could relax in confidence. Unfortunately, our current stay is a letdown. The entire pool area is now surrounded by unsightly and dirty fences, blocking the view of the children's play/pool area. What was once a bright, open space now feels claustrophobic. Worse still, the bounce area of the pool now has a limit of 10 children, which is a huge inconvenience to all. Previously, kids could easily move between the pool zones with just a few steps, but now they have to walk all the way around fenced-off areas to reach other parts of the pool — a frustrating and unnecessary change. Overall, the once-great family-friendly atmosphere has been lost. The fences have made the pool area difficult to navigate, less enjoyable for the children, and stressful for parents. It’s disappointing to see how quickly the quality of the amenities of the hotel has declined. I truly feel sorry for the kids who came here expecting fun and freedom, only to be met with fences and frustration.
