Reviews
Room was nice. Try to get one away from the stage area if you can, as it can be noisy. Near the tennis court was good. But the beds are terrible. Hard and feel like camp beds with very thin pillows. The sofas were comfier to sleep on which tells it's own tale. Expected a lot better comfort for the price and star rating.
Food is ok. A good variety and the kids loved it, and freshly cooked meat and fish was a good touch, but other things could be better. Veggie options are less fresh and a bit hit and miss. Snacks outside of mealtimes are very minimal. Lack of any decent ice cream is a massive let down. Only really available at meal times and what there is is very low quality. A real miss for the resort as this should be a given for any summer holiday. The crepe bar from 2-5pm is great however and became a regular visit for our stay. The Bodega tapas restaurant on the beach is also fantastic. Food is great, although it's very hard to book, and it's a set menu so make sure you leave a comment if you have any dietary requirements, i.e. any of your party is veggie.
Overall a good time and nice place, let down by little details to some extent, but would give it another go.
Wouldn't say it is 4 star hotel.
We made the booking knowing it would accept kids and we thought a couple of them won't hurt.
Beware, we were probably the only couple that did not have kids.
The AC made an awful rattle, we asked at the reception for it to be fixed 3 times but nobody came. We eventually gave up.
The rooms are poorly equipped, the TV did not sit right and looked like it was about to fall at any time. Pretty poor quality overall, plastic chairs and table on the balcony.
Plenty of sunbeds, but pretty poor quality for a "4 star hotel". At least it's close to the beach and it's pretty private, so that's a plus. Also, the hotel has a bar on the beach and you can get some refreshments.
The tennis courts are full of sand, pretty hard to play knowing you might slip and break a leg.
Gym was well equipped, plenty enough for a good workout, especially for a holiday.
Food, almost passable. A lot of kids running around, some are dropping the food on the floor and putting it back.
Drinks, 90% water and 10% alcohol.
Location, it's pretty far from everything. You either get a car or stay in the resort full time.
Drink stations were available and the food stations were satisfying.
The biggest thing for us was the teen club, Nikolas took care of my older ones, and Michelle took them for football and archery, absolutely awesome, they got to cycle and play instead of having to be watched and monitored round the clock.
Various pools gave us options but they were too cold.
Food: now the food was lovely and there were copious amounts. Our kids ate everything, and there was paella and all sorts you could ask for. However, do cut the bite size meat already in curries as they can be under done. This resulting in food poisoning. I say this because sickness and diarrhea running through the family is not a nice experience. Back to the above, thank you for the army of cleaning staff who provided sufficient loo roll, and changed our sheets.
There is an on site gym and launderette of that floats your boat.
Over and above, I would return, just unfortunate we were ill.
Hotel rooms are very family-friendly, so that the kids can go to sleep and parents can stay in the other room or terrace. Cleaning staff does an amazing job every day keeping the rooms clean.
The food in each dining area is amazingly good and there is a very broad choice for everyone. Our personal favourite is the Bodega restaurant where you can eat tapas with the seaview.
The entertainment staff is friendly and prepares amazing shows, kids disco,... never a dull moment. We will never forget the hotel song and dance.
We will definitely come back soon and will go for one of their great biking tours.
Big thumbs for the entire staff of the Magic Life Cala Pada!
There are only a few tiny bit picky things which come to mind:. No iron or kettle in the rooms, and nothing to eat after dinner has been served..unless you want cake and coffee! Oh and the alcohol...maybe has been watered down?!
Otherwise this place is just amazing! Clean , amazing land scaping perfect for families and couples alike. It's great..you don't even need to leave the complex..it's huge..like a little village!!
And if you do..on the beach is a beach bar for hotel guests only!! Bliss!!!!!
