Hotel LIVVO Lago & Aquapark

This is our own personal experience as a young family with a 1 year old ✨ What I would say about this place is you really do get what you pay for! The waterpark is an amazing addition to the hotel & without this we wouldn’t of been able to sit around the pool at all on this holiday… some days we made our way down to breakfast just after 8 & there were no sunbeds available by the hotel pool. This is disappointing but we never had any issues getting a bed by the waterpark ✨ The hotel is incredibly dated and needs a refresh - we found our beds to be super uncomfy & squeaky! The cleanliness in the room was top notch and could not be faulted - one thing we did pick up on was the lack of bin in the room, we have a young baby so nappies and wipes became a problem as we found ourselves buying bags & finding a bin outside to dispose of the rubbish so it wasn’t left on the floor. The water pressure for the showers was very good also! Unless you have to, I’d recommend using the stairs the lifts are slow & unreliable. It really is quicker to take the stairs than wait. We usually carried the pram down the stairs to avoid standing outside the lift for 10 minutes. We also had several encounters with children playing in the lift & on 1 occasion children were filling the lift with chairs… The food is probably one of the biggest let downs for this whole place. Food is beyond repetitive & whilst you can always grab some bread & a slice of plain cheese pizza it was just very basic and bland - definitely 3 star quality! There is only one pool bar open during the day & you’re lucky if you can grab a seat there as it’s always rammed - this hotel could really do with another bar open early in the afternoon as apart from the pool there is nothing else to do during the day! All the mini golf & arcades are closed until 6pm which was a shame as there isn’t anything else to do around there as you are quite secluded. If you’re someone who likes to go for walks during the day this isn’t the place for you. The AI for the hotel doesn’t include food n drink in the waterpark but you can bring in food and drinks in cups with lids but no glass allowed! I would say the cleanliness in the waterpark needs improving, the women’s toilets were disgusting and most of the doors didn’t lock. If you have a baby who requires a changing table then good luck because I did not find 1 baby change table in the whole hotel or outside facilities. The hotel does have an issue with cockroaches and the restaurant outdoor eating area was constantly covered with birds! Overall, I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again… the food is awful & it’s extremely dated but you get what you pay for at a 3 star holiday!

Hotel itself was lovely. Room was spacious & clean Water park was a huge hit. (Although food and drink it’s not in with the all inclusive) However… the food was not good - it was a struggle, bland and limited selection. Left overs were used to make the next days. Pool snacks were worst I’ve ever seen - weird coloured burgers that lay all day heated which made the rolls hard. The bland ham & cheese sandwich. Drink were local spirit but mixers were all sugar free. Thankfully a very good supermarket was a close by. The beach although was black sand was gorgeous I really struggle to see how this is a 4star. Will not go back or recommend sadly.

Furniture very dated, fridge inadequate to keep more than a couple of bottles of water cold. Rooms screaming out for freshen up /upgrade. WiFi is awful. Overall hotel looks very tired. Wouldn't go again, can see why it is indeed only a three star. Saw half a dozen cockroaches ground floor within first two days. Water park is great, really only positive I can offer.

This hotel has lots of positives and lots of negatives. You get what you pay for though. We were a family of 3 1 week AI. For the kids loads to keep them entertained free and at a cost. Food is good. Drinks are your usual AI standard. Waterpark is fab 👌 and location to beach perfect. There's lots of little ships and other bars along the front, when you fancy something different. Negatives rooms are dated. Beds not the best and sometimes quite rowdy by the pool. Highly recommended visiting Puerto Rico and Puerto Mogan. Overall weather good, happy child and a bargain at the cost we had it.
