Hotel LIVVO Lago Taurito & Aquapark

First time visiting this hotel. I booked as a solo parent with my 2 kids so the waterpark caught my eye when booking. The hotel was lovely, big room with 3 beds in and the balcony was a great size. The pool again great always got a sunbed, my youngest son loved the kids club and the different activities they did. The waterpark my kids didn’t like as it’s salt water but spent the rest of the week at the pool. The only thing that let it down was the food, we found there wasn’t much choice for breakfast and evening meals (we ate down at the restaurant down on the beach pretty much every night) my eldest eats anything and everything and he wasn’t keen so that the only thing that let it down. Lots of sofas around the hotel as a lot of flights are later on in the day/evening so you’ve got somewhere to chill while waiting as checkout was 11am

Just back from 2 weeks at the Lago taurito hotel as a family of 2 adults & 2 kids. Week 1 was bliss, week 2 was school half term week so the hotel was packed on week 2. During week 1 we had no trouble getting sunbeds by the pool any time from 10am onwards. Week 2 all sunbeds reserved by 8.30am after a mad rush to get the beds you wanted, if you were not ready to rush for a bed at 8.30am all the best beds by the pool would be taken, you would still get a sunbed as there is lots of them but you’ll be a good distance away from the pool. Breakfast was a nice variety of healthy options & more stodgy English food with proper English sausages. Lunch & dinner had the usual choices you find at an all inclusive wherever you are, such as burgers, steaks, chips, chicken nuggets, chicken, pizzas alongside veg & salads, some nights where themed so Chinese food or Italian food / Spanish food complimented the usual options. Deserts consisted of cakes / ice crème pots, jelly and sweet pots and soft drinks / Amstel beer & wines were included. Snack bar by the pool had the same food daily which was cheese & ham toasty, Hot dogs, burgers and all your soft drinks such as 7up & Pepsi alongside the same alcoholic drinks available at lunch & dinner. Entertainment was good for the kids which consisted of a mini disco, shoutout to Alba & Amanda & Domi who were great with the kids and put on a fun show, mini disco was short starting at 8.15 and finishing at 9pm, Entertainment between 9pm - 10pm was aimed at adults but disappointingly all entertainment stopped at 10pm which left you with not much else to do other than go to bed unless you wanted to site around drinking with no entertainment or you had kids and had money to spend on the trampolines / soft play which where €5 each for 15mins play. Beach was a short walk away from hotel and was nice although sand which was like ash got extremely hot to walk on in the middle of the day. Rooms were nice and balcony was large. Housekeeping team come to room to clean and change towels every 2 days which was a nice touch and they done a great job. If you are staying in taurito be prepared to feel a bit isolated as there is not a great deal to do outside of the hotel, we travelled out to holidayworld for the day which was a nice experience and around a 30 min taxi ride away from taurito and similar to a uk theme park although a lot smaller than the likes of Alton towers or Thorpe park it resembles more of a fairground with 1x mini coaster, it cost us €35 in a taxi there and €35 back but you can get a bus for a few euros if you prefer to do that. The water park is amazing and has slides for all ages including babies, however the water is salt water so if you don’t like salt water then it might not be for you. The all inclusive for Lago did include water park access but did not include food or drinks so for that you’d have to leave the water park and head back to the hotel. It's all about how much you spent on the holiday. We spent £1500 1 adult and 2 children all inclusive for 7 days during school holidays. The hotel is fine, yes there's a few little things that are a little dated, but overall its fine. The food was really good, like any all inclusive its sometimes the same, but most are. The pool and water park is good, however the water park is salt water so bring some goggles. If you self drive, be aware hardly any free parking. All in all a great family holiday.

Definitely a 3star. Honestly it’s alright. Does what it says on the tin. Loads of shops underneath hotel which is fairly priced. Room is great as we only sleep there. Pool area is hit and miss only because so many towels placed in morning where the sun starts but owners don’t show up till 1-2 in the afternoon. Staff should remove these towels. Beer and food is good, could do with some chips and pizza, not just burgers and hotdogs on the pool bar. Wide range of fruit on offer also. Check in was easy too. Easy holiday if you’re looking for simplicity. Staff and cleaners are great! Very clean hotel. Location is picturesque too. Would I visit again? I don’t see why not, but only if they sort the towels on sunbeds situation out. Also both lifts work and no cockroaches. I feel some reviews are a bit far fetched.

We read the reviews for this hotel after we booked it, and we’re not looking forward to it tbh based on what we read, however we were pleasantly surprised. We arrived just before 11pm, so got a drink before the AI drinks finished, put our cases into the room and went down to the beach bar on first night to get some food. The rooms are spacious, but dated and basic, however they are clean. Cleaners came every day except Sunday and towels were changed every 2 days. We were up on the 6th floor, on the restaurant side of complex, so relied on the lifts, and they were really slow especially in morning. Only 1 lift was working on that side. Food, was ok to be honest, although did become a bit repetitive. Breakfast, there was something for everyone, eggs, scrambled or fried, sausage / bacon/ beans etc, selection of breads, some limited selection of cereal, fruit, yoghurt etc. lunch time and evening there was a bit more choice, usually a fish dish and a meat dish cooked fresh, as well as a good selection of other foods. It did become a bit repetitive and we did hire a car one day and eat out in nearby Mogán - highly recommended by the way 😀. The shops are all reasonable with prices although they do seem to fix the prices among each other. The arcades are ok for the kids, with bowling, crazy golf, trampolines, soft play, air hockey etc for the kids to play on, but it soon adds up 5 euros here 5 euros there 🤣 Evening entertainment is…….. ok 😳. Some nights it’s good some nights it’s poor. The magic night was more like a bad comedian 🤣. The kids club through the day was good- they work every day except Mondays, and do something at 11am then 3pm with the kids, and they do make the kids feel involved- good work there team 😀👍 The bar staff were all polite, friendly and got to know guests as the week went on and always spoke. Same with reception staff, always very helpful. If you want to go off resort, then the 2 British ladies that run the info centre next to the aqua park entrance are lovely and very helpful. Book with them for your activities. The 4 hour boat trip is highly recommended. As is the market day too. The market is at mogan on a Friday morning and at Arguineguín on Tuesday mornings. We hired a car from opposite the info center, it was 50 euros for the day, and very easy process. We went to the Tuesday market, then took our son karting at gran karting club, then on the evening we visited mogan and had some lovely food by the marina. If you are used to 4-5⭐️ AI, then don’t expect it here, however, consider what it cost, and that it is ok for the value, lovely quiet area, great for a break away, then I’m sure you’ll find it suitable.

The best holiday we have ever been on as family of 8 we stayed on 4th may until 12th may we had a family room and a twin room two kids in one room and three in the bigger room plenty of space storage and a massive balcony with a hanging line for the clothers to dry on mini fridge hob (only in bigger room the mini hob etc and bigger balcony ) etc loads of room for clothers to be stored in wardrobe and draws etc rooms were changed every day was very impressed when we first checked in the balcony door lock was broken and the maintenance team came within five mins as we had a 3 year old who is very active etc so it’s was good that they came to fix it straight away. All the staff was polite and helpful plenty of food very nice to say it was a three star rated hotel it was very good my kids are fussy eaters and they found plenty of food they liked. The water park on site fantastic make sure you bring water bottles filled up etc as u pay for drinks they don’t check bags so we managed to sneak in etc then we went to eat after in hotel. The pool was fab in the hotel. You can refill your drinks up if it’s soft drinks etc in the pool bar so kids were able to help the selves which was a helpful for us adults etc if it’s alcohol they you go to the staff member plenty of ice creams to have and food by the pool they did hot dogs burgers and toasties. Only negative I can say is no kettle in room so bring a travel one and bring your own tea cup as they didn’t have any in room. The entertainment was fantastic based more for the kids but wasn’t an issue due to us having kids they do activities through day too which was great for the kids. We went on a few trips out we went to Puerto Rico for the day walked down the road outside hotel catch number 9 bus which takes u to Puerto Rico when u want to go back cross round at side of angry birds to get it back to taurito. We went to amadores same bus number but few stops before and we also went to puerto de Morgan took number 9 bus to the nice village got off their I think it was Cala something then over road to get the number 1 bus to puerto Morgan we got the ferry back to Puerto Rico as kids wanted to go on their and then back on bus to our hotel etc deffo will be rebooking again thanks for reading

Great place if you dont want to leave site. Plenty on site to do including its very own waterpark.
Unfortunatley, lifts were constantly breaking. And at tea/supper there was a wait for plates. But overall the staff have been brilliant. Always pleasant and more than happy to help.

Bus station at the top of the park if you want to go to Puerto Rico or Puerto de Morgan (highly recomend).
Busses are a bit temperamental on weekends and bank holidays. However, there are plenty of fairly priced Taxi's
