Hotel «Hanasaari»

Absolutely stunning place! The hotel is located on the isolated island, so no cars, no city noise. We had a simple room with a sea view, very clean and cosy. Every day at 10 p.m. we visited local swimming pool and sauna, usually there were no people inside and it was good, because the swimming pool is quite small. Breakfasts were nice: warm dishes (porridge, eggs), different kinds of meat, cheese, vegetables and fruits, juice, smoothies, coffee/tea, pastry, etc.
The atmosphere of the hotel is very Finnish and artistic. There are a lot of paintings on the walls, sculptures around and bookshelves with old books, which are worth seeing.

There was only one thing, which disturbed us: spiders. We had 3 days in the hotel (early August) and had no chance to sit on the terrace of the canteen, because chairs were in the spider nets every morning. Some of the doors, which lead to the yard, were also in the spider nets. The presence of the spider nets is totally understandable, the hotel is situated in the forest, but it would be better to get rid of them every morning, for example, to welcome guests to sit on the terrace and enjoy morning sun and breakfast. I am afraid of spiders and it was always comfortable for me to eat inside.

Our stay was fantastic, with a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcomed us with smiles, making us feel very at home 😃.

I just love the very well preserved building from the 70’s. Walking distance from metro station but feels like in Baltic Sea outer archipelago as the building opens to the open sea. All rooms I visited had sea view. Wonderful furnishing with design classics from the decade. Good saunas, iconic pool and possibility to swim in the sea - even in the winter. Good place for a weekend getaway with partner or friends.

Amazing place to relax, 20 minutes away from downtown Helsinki. Great breakfast too

Unfortunately stayed for two nights only during a business conference in Helsinki. Mid-May, I got lucky, it was 20+ celsius. But 1st things first. The hotel is located on a peninnsula/island in the sea. Surrounded by water and open air art gallery. Hotel’s architecture is dominated by wood, stone and bricks. Inside the hotel looks older, but definately bot aged or dated. Quite the opposite. I had a feeling I got back in time to 90’s in Helsinki :)
Rooms clean, cosmetics very high quality.
Pool was clean and sauna was nice, could’ve been warmer though. Also, pay attention - saunas are men/women secluded. In general it was a lifetime experience to get cool in the sea after nice 15min sesh. What I missed though were sunbeds/some area to relax after sauna.
Breakfast were sufficient, loves the salmon and pickled onions :) Also smoothies and cheese. Would recommend and next time in Helsinki I will return.

We stayed over night in this nice 1960 style hotel. It has been renovated preserving carefully the 60's look and feel. The style is at its best in the Sauna department, I think. The hotel has also an extensive modern art collection which the guests can admire freely. Our room was plain, simple and clean. The bed was good. The staff was friendly. Hotel's restaurant is very good focusing on the local food. Overall this hotel is definitely something to recommed.

Nice location next to see. It's a bit far from city center so this is not maybe good for someone willing to spend a lot of time shopping in city center

Nice and design oriented hotel with a spa that we were unfortunately not able to utilize during this visit.

Rooms are nice and clean with double doors. Breakfast was great. Staff was very friendly!
