Not sure why this hotel has 4 stars. From my point of view this is firm 3 stars hotel. It's relatively clean but facilities are broken. For example, bidet in the room's bathroom doesn't work at all. Probably they decide to preserve water this way. Most remarkable thing in the room is huge but empty minibar! They say that minibars available "only in the superior rooms". Then why they are shining their emptiness in the regular rooms? The furniture in the room maybe modern but not functional. There no place to put the clothes. Everything has to be in the travel cases wich is not comfortable. Yes, there is balcony.. with a view on some building renovations. The water around the hotel doesn't fix the view. Restaurant is closed on Sunday and all other restaurants around are very expensive. Your choice: them or some small things in the food court in the mall. Breakfast is included but very basic. Also, it's great that hotel is allowed pets, (I hope) in designated rooms. No problem for myself but not sure about other guests in the 4 stars hotel. In addition, because of water and other preservation, they're cleaning the rooms once in three days. But you can order to clean your room if you need. So, because all of this, in my opinion,this is normal 3 stars hotel. The hotel has won award in preservation.This is wonderful! It would be nice to concentrate now on the main business they're in-the hospitality. I wouldn't stay here anymore if it will be my choice.

Restaurant “you need a reservation” (as if we walked into the busiest restaurant in Helsinki without a booking).

Reception should know that the restaurant is booked out and tell people “you need a reservation”. Do better

During check in we were given the impression the hotel restaurant took walk in customers starting from 5pm. But when we actually went there, they told us we needed a reservation. As if it was obvious. The breakfast was by far the worst of any Finnish hotel we have stayed. Stale bread, a coffee machine that appeared to be ”in cleaning” but actually wasn’t working at all. Then they ran out of drip filtered coffee on top of that. Unfortunately no vegan breakfast options (apart from the obvious vegetables and bread) Bottles in the shower had grime and someone’s hair on them, minifridge was dirty inside. Reception staff was nice and location is convenient, rooms have balconies which is nice. Even the key card was dirty.

When we checked in, the staff were very polite and professional. Of course they recommended their restaurant and advised us that it opens at 17:00. When it came to dinner time, the restaurant was fairly empty but the staff kept asking us “do you have a reservation”, as if we had walked in to a busy restaurant in the middle of Helsinki on a Friday. Because in that case, of course you would need a reservation. Turns out, they were entirely booked out, unless we wanted to pay the $20 for the “Jazz Show” which was no where near starting. Our hopes were very low for breakfast and this hotel managed to go lower. The coffee machine appeared to be “in cleaning mode”, but was actually broken, with no sign. The drip filtered coffee was good, but they ran out of that within 10 minutes. The bread was all pre cut, and therefore stale. It had clearly been sitting in the open air for quite some time. We were expected to provide a “breakfast ticket”, but we were not given one. I get the impression that the management of this establishment are all about “getting the customers in” but failing to meet the minimum standards. We come to Helsinki region a lot and this was our first time in Espoo. It wasn’t a good one.

Hotel service is not upto mark there is no customer friendly environment. We raised concern to staff and hotel manager didn't responded.Breakfast is patitic with less choice for customer and say there no chef available.compare to other hotel there charge more with less service and customer respect.

The bathroom was dirty, the furniture in the rooms is damaged, the receptionist was impolite, as a guest that pays a bit too much for an absolute below average hotel, I gave 1 star. There are better places to stay, where the ratio price/quality and cleanliness is better.
But it might just be the Finnish standard.

Customer service is simply terrible. Avoid this place if you can. Had some nice/decent experiences with this hotel earlier, but the recent one was so unpleasant I will probably just stay away. There are plenty of other hotels around this area.

Nice hotel in Tapiola centrum in Espoo. Extremely nice staff and cosy rooms. Best of all, it's dog friendly, and dogs are allowed even in the hotel restaurant. Highly recommended, and we will definitely visit again.
