what a beautiful, unique and clean hotel! the staff was super nice and welcoming. room was stunning with beautiful artwork on the walls and interesting details in decor. not a speck of dust anywhere. and very affordable compared to other places. the breakfast was delicious and fresh, with a bunch of vegan options, including dessert brownies! the big monster fellow apparently sings every day, but we missed that unfortunately. i guess that means i will have to come back some day, which i will happily do! 100% recommend!

The room was excellent, well designed and personal. The view wasn't much to look at, but that's not why we came.
Breakfast was varied and there was plenty of tasty options for a vegetarian and even a vegan.
The location of the hotel is spot on: the Jätkäsaari area has plenty of interesting options and public transit takes you to city center in 10 minutes.

nice breakfast, delicious coffee, salmon cream, 100% clean rooms, helpful staff. modern art in every corner of the building. rooms are small but very quiet, maybe a little noise from the streets can be heard but really zen. in our room there were no closet, since we came for 7 days we had a lot of clothes, it would be nice to put them somewhere and not dress from the suitcases every day, but the overall look and use of the room was perfect in this way.
all in all: definitely worth to pay a second visit in the future!

The decor and the front of house staff are awesome, but when we went in for dinner, we were very disappointed. The tuna was overcooked, the beans were under-soaked, and the dish as a whole was a strange combination of flavours that didn’t work together. Super disappointed since the rest of the hotel seems very cool.

Super nice place. Staff super friendly, lots of breakfast options. Rooms are stylish, well equipped and clean. Good connection to city and walking distance to ferry terminal.

There are a few hotels in the Strawberry chain that are just plain odd. Ax is for sure one of them. In a positive sense.
It stands out. Very artsy and stylish. Makes it feel unique. Maybe on the edge of overdoing it, but I liked it.
My room was great. I did get an update though, so it was pretty big. Two separate rooms, which was a bit weird, as I had to use two cards to make all lights work. And I only got one… Used my library card as a stand in.
Bathrooms were a bit on the smaller side, but still ok. Bed was comfortable. Lounge area was great.
The main downside was the breakfast. It was hard to get an overview of what was offered and you had to go to multiple stations. Not that big of a deal though.
Also, the place is a bit off. Unless you have business in this area, you’ll have to wonder a bit to get to the real city.

I never know what to think about those design hotels. From the outside, you immediately see that this is different than your normal hotels. The lobby is great and inviting. Checkin and the staff there are super friendly, but the room is super small. However, the bed is comfy, everything is clean, and there really is nothing to complain about apart from the small bed. It seems like it is located in a quieter area but with a 30-minute walk you are at the city center. There is, however, also a tram going right across the street.

The hotel was great. I loved the design and all the contemporary art inside, included in the rooms. The building was new. The staff was super kind and the rooms were amazing. Breakfast was equally great.
If we really have to find some negatives, the position was not too central but eventually well connected to the metro.

A new and clean hotel with a youthful design.
A very small room, but every centimetre was cleverly used.
Very quiet.
Breakfast was OK, not very rich, but everything was there.
Pumps for some detergent dispensers in the bathroom did not work.
The water in the toilet tank did not stop after flushing, had to shake the button to make the water stop (room 601).

Love letter with a view -room is not worth the extra money if you're looking for a romantic room, the room was very basic. The view was nice though. Breakfast was basic but good 3/5. Couldn't watch Finnish TV channels, that's a minus from me.
