Great sauna - except early in the morning when it isn't hot yet.
Great location near main train station.

Very rude staff at breakfast: they don’t greet guests, walk around with gloomy faces, and I had to ask five times about the coffee machine being full ( the was a queue of people) before the waitress bothered to take out her earphone and arrogantly asked what I needed. Terrible.
The breakfast itself is mediocre, worse than in any other hotels.
There was no information at reception about street parking in Helsinki on weekends.
In the comfort room located opposite the elevator, you can hear every noise from the corridor and all the guests arriving on the floor.
The women’s sauna is designed for two or three people, but many more come in – it would be nice to reserve the sauna by time slots. Also, curious guests peek in and see you naked, as the changing room is right by the door and is very small.
The bar is very nice, but they allow people from outside, and there are more people than there are seats in the bar. The passage to the bar’s restroom is completely blocked by tables – you have to squeeze between a painting and a seated guest.

Location is great! You are in the center of Helsinki (the reason I booked while delivering my painting to a gallery nearby for my international upcoming exhibition). We came from Ylitornio, left a car on the nearby street for free (saturday evening, sunday morning.

Amazing hotel. Booked a twin room for 2 people, very large space, noise cancelling windows, AC + heating. Large beds , comfy pillows.
Service is excellent, option for late checkout and breakfast is included, food is great and staff are very friendly.

Good value for money. It's a simple hotel. Clean with very friendly staff. If you want to stay central in Helsinki but aren't prepared to pay too much for a place just to sleep, then this hotel is a good choice.

Very clean and well-kept rooms with very friendly staff. Only marks off for us were our room on 6th floor- the heat was stuck to the maximum setting to 28 C which made it a little too toasty but staff was helpful and assisted in opening the window. Also, as an American, having the WC only separated by a semi-transparent glass door made more privacy to be desired. Overall enjoyed the hotel with a great breakfast and good location.

Hotel is pretty and rooms are interesting in a good way. Staff was not very helpful and as we went mainly for the sauna those were not on during our two night stay so it was realy disappointing. Great breakfast, interesting lobby and great location!

Really cool hotel with a chill vibe. My room was small but comfortable. The sauna was nice. Breakfast was good. And the location was perfect, very central but still felt peaceful. What the other other reviews say about the lack of sockets, small bathrooms etc are true but the vibe and friendly staff totally outweigh these minor discomforts.

Nice hotel in a convenient location! Would totally recommend. The complimentary soft drinks and snacks were a welcome touch. Only slight deduction for the fact that the bathroom wasn't cleaned by house keeping (during our stay), which is a new thing to me.
Breakfast was particularly outstanding! Especially the vegan choices were amazing and everything clearly labelled. Oat milk coffee machine, vegan coffee sweets, vegan overnights oats, large plant milk selection + jogurt, vegan cheese, hummus. Baked beans, falafel. All great. Besides, good quality of everything else too: plenty fresh fruit, breads, porridge with healthy toppings and much more

Love the overall experience. I had my fair share of spending nights in a hotel at various locations around the world and Hotel Helka is among the most memorable ones. The artwork detail on the furniture, the markings, amenities are thought-provoking. Well-equipped facilities, from water cooker, chrome cast TV to public sauna. The staff is professional and hands-on. The hotel is well located in the city center, close to various public transportation options, but with no street noise. The breakfast bar accommodates a whole range of dietary restrictions and their coffee is great!
