Despite lacking any traditional reception, signing in to the room was easy and quick. The hotel is a comfortable stay, with a basic but tasty breakfast buffet in the morning. Very clean and quiet, great value!

The rooms are basic but there is everything you need. I used the hotel to take an early flight from Turku airport and it was a good choice because the airport is only 10’ by car. Breakfast is ok. Parking is free but you must remember to type your license plate on the tablet at the entrance. There is no reception but all the info are sent by email and SMS

I rolled in the pub. It was sad to hear that they have been in operation for half a year already. I would say the lack of advertising... Nicely renovated, themed nights are welcome and the staff is, to say the least, excellent. This is what the West Center of Turku needs!

Overall the room was clean and nice. There was some problems though. WC seat was broken and we had to put the blanket inside the cover ourselves. And there was no extra pillow and the only one was very low. Breakfast was quite good.

Fantastic hotel with character and charm. Far from the usual hotelchains. Electric sauna worked well and extra plus for the retrostyle sauna lounge.

The bed was comfortable, but our blanket did not cover the two of us. It was too small for the bed. There are no blackout curtains so it was not dark in our room. The towels were very thin.

Basic hotel with comfortable beds and general design, location is just perfect. There's no reception at all in the place, there's no other facilities to make you more comfortable. If you really want to enjoy your stay in Turku, you better stay in kylpylä like Holiday Club Caribia, prices are different but totally different atmosphere!!

The hotel is special for its theme as it was a prison before. The room is clean and secured. The staff and very friendly to guide you the direction. The restaurant has quiet and private place to eat, blending in the nature! Though a bit far away from the centre, take light luggage is high suggested!

Hotel is spacious and has an interesting history. The location, including the rest of the Kakola restaurants and businesses is beautiful although a bit in convenient to reach/leave. Good location, right next to the river. Rooms are very outdated and worn down. The air in the room stands still. Feels like there is no oxygen. Receptionist just told us that is because there is no airconditioning but it almost feels like that the rooms are not ventilated at all. Beds are nice and we enjoyed the breakfast as well.

The reception service is amazing! We had some need for help out from normal hotel duties and we got served better than we could have imagined! Room was clean and cosy. Breakfast is well organized with small specialities from normal daily routines.

I am baffled by the negative reviews this hotel has received. When we stayed in a family room over the Christmas period I was impressed by the size of the room, its cleanliness and the fact that there were three proper beds. The staff were were very accommodating and breakfast was delicious.

Good quality hotel A good Sokos hotel with central location, just a few minutes of walking to marketplace. The breakfast is one of the best I've experienced in Turku, with a lot of warm and cold alternatives and some nice local products also. My room was tidy and beautifully decorated. The reception staff were great and attentive, and even managed a room for me even though arriving very early.

S/S Bore certainly has a colorful history. Now serving as a hotel, restaurant, and museum ship at the Forum Marinum maritime museum. Only a small part of the ship is open to museum visitors, which is perfectly understandable. The room is spacious, bright and clean (especially since we just arrived in Turku from London, we felt that the room was super big). The only downside is that the facilities are outdated and there is not a single USB port, which is not very friendly for people who don't have a conversion plug. It is unimaginable that mobile phones cannot be charged now.

City Center location Have stayed here before, a couple of times.. like the location, the restaurant is ok, breakfast is very nice, roof top bar also very nice. The parking is ok, but when the departmentstore is closed you have to walk all the way around outside with the luggage… not so convenient.. the rooms are ok, but a little boring and worn. Lovely as always We tried a superior room and we can say that we prefer the standard. Bed was too soft and also there were more sounds then when we had room with window not pointing to tori area. As always excellent staff and room was clean and well lit. We only had one hand towel but it was fine since we were only staying one night.

You guys have the best shampoo ever XD. Everything was perfect. And gosh I wished I could find that shampoo where I live I will come again if I ever have the opportunity again [Edit-reply] Yes it was lumene's products however they told me they only sell that shampoo to you/ hotels. The shampoo avaible on their website are not the same as the nordic collection you have in your rooms

This is a good hotel in the center of Turku. It is a modern hotel with decent rooms. The room was large, clean and quiet with a view of the main city square. Breakfast was tasty with a good range of things to eat. The hotel is in a good location - in the center of the town and only a few minutes walk from the river.

I would recommend it to everyone without reservation. It was a really good breakfast!

Simple hotel with good location. The toilet construction needs improvement. Toilet roll is far away from toilet seat. Showering will splash waters nearly everywhere. Average hotel Its an ok average hotel, nothing fancy. Good price for families with small children. Bit old and worn. Medioker breakfast. Elevators is kind of a hassle.

We had a view towards wall in the third floor. Extra bed was too hard for an adult. The air conditioning was not cool enough because the blankets were very thick.

The hotel was hosting many families with small children when we visited and managed to provide prompt, attentive service despite the number of guests. The location was perfect for accessing the river walk and excellent restaurants.
