Everything was perfect with me, very easy to access, bedroom clean and silence for good sleep. Also good wifi to work if needed. I recommend this!

Very basic rooms, yet clean and tidy. The check-in/check-out process with the keycode worked out well. It's close to the airport, which makes it convenient if arriving late in the evening.

It was wonderful to stay in here for a week, especially this place was surprisingly better than my earlier 4 star hotel. Thanks for keeping it clean and tidy, one suggestion to remove the metallic rod from the entry point door because it could hurt badly to someone while entering into the building.👏🏻

Perfect location for a sleepover between the flights. It's clean and comfortable, however sometimes it's too noisy inside, it's a bit expensive for that type of accommodation and you have make your bed yourself, they only give you linens. Well, the last one I've met everywhere in Helsinki, but it keeps frustrating, especially when you are tired after a long journey

Very clean and we'll managed No service at counter can be a little unorthodox for those who visit the first time.. Beware that you keycode will work only in the building assign to it, there are two hostel buildings very close to each other and the biggest confusion to almost all happens when this info is not properly communicated

It's a normal hostel. Very close to Vanta airport with walking distance. The Finavia bus service is free to reach here all the time. Very convenient location for whom having midnight flights.

Convenient location, saves time and effort, gives a reasonable opportunity to rest. Feels like a hostel with a some privacy

Sleeping in pods works, though I wouldn't recommend to light sleepers. There is some noise and lights shine through the cover. Premium package includes ear plugs, a pillow and a blanket. Service is excellent, though there is no proper booking system.

Awesome area if u want to take a nap before your flight or even charge up your phone or tablets highly recommend it.

Good location, it serves its purpose well enough. The pod is a little hot for me, a fan would be a fantastic addition. Otherwise, no complaints really. It's about what you'd expect

Calm and clean always, public transportation everywhere easy to get to the center and beautiful views of Finnish nature

Easy transportation to city center, with plenty of bars and a few grocery stores nearby. Staff is helpful and they have fans you can bring to the room. Large kitchens to cook in. Bathrooms aren't great, but they are reasonably clean and functional, with soap provided. They have social activities planned. It's a good value.

Good value for fair price. Good location, very close to tram and bus stations, If you're coming to Helsinki by plane, you can go directly to the hostel from the airporty by bus no 600. 24 hours market and cafes just nearby. Hostel offers you lot of activities, depends on day of the week. Overall it's clean, breakfasts are OK, staff at the reception is nice & helpfull, common things available here...

The share kitchen is clean and well equipped. Beds are clean and the dorm has pretty good privacy.

Easy to reach with metro, but a bit far compared to the city center. The sound penetrates through the doors easily, so it can feel a bit noisy at night with people coming/going and people talking in the living room. But these are small things compared to the overall experience.

The late check in is easy and convenient. There is a supermarket 100m away opens all day. And a Lidl about 300m away. The hostel is cosy and warm. Staff is very helpful and friendly. There are also a lots of restaurants around. Location is good, easily go to city,airport and west terminal.

Staffs are friendly and very helpful. The front desk girl was super nice. The kitchen is big, and has kitchen utensils. But I don't have the chance to use. The pizza downstairs is so good.

Stayed for two night in the all girls room, was a little hot at night here in the summer but was perfect temperature with the window cracked. Checked in late at night and the process was super smooth, locker is quite large and could easily fit a regular sized backpack. I was worried about whether I could get into the room, but I was able to contact them using WhatsApp, which I installed in Japan. The room had a refrigerator, a water heater, cups, forks, etc. It was a convenient location.

Good clean facility in general, however, I hope they paid more attention to deep cleaning inside the rooms. Sound isolation is not good too. I had a bed without sheet and broken leg!!🙃

Great location to stay! Rooms cleaned, well-looking, views are just amazing as the hotel is located on 9th floor. Prices are also good. Staff is nice and helpful.

Hakaniemi shopping hall and Tokoi beach can be seen from the window. Shopping center Redi and Korkeasaari within walking distance. A clean room, own kettle and fridge is a big plus. Clean shared toilet and shower facilities. Friendly service, uncomplicated and effortless.

Great location, budget option in a modern hostel. We had spacious twin room with views of the see. Room, toilets, restaurant, kitchen - all was super clean and personnel very attentive. We had breakfast which is well worth to take - good, lots of options...

Just the perfect hostel. No complaints - just like the city, clean and beautiful. There is a sauna upstairs, and the location is pretty good in general, too. No need for public transport most of the time, as you can walk to the square in around 25 minutes. The 2-bed hostel dorms can be quite a good break from the multiple beds usually seen in most hostels, I would definitely recommend for Helsinki

We chose to stay in a double room with a shared bathroom, and the price was very reasonable. We didn’t know this when booking, but once we arrived, we found out that we also had free access to the sauna in the morning. The late check-out time (12:00) was also a nice bonus for us. One of the best basic hotels I've ever stayed in! Rooms are spacious, comfortable, affordable. Staff is helpful and attentive. Location is convenient for city access, sightseeing, the Viking ferry services. And the morning sauna facilities...quite invigorating :) I'll definitely be staying here again!

Had a great stay at the hostel, staff was friendly and helpful, the place is very clean and organized, and the location couldn't be better! Many good restaurants/bars/cafes around the building. Highly recommended for women solo traveling :)

The Yard Hostel is a great place to stay and I would highly recommend it. The hostel is located in very close proximity to the central train station and the public airport bus. Furthermore, he beds are great and include privacy curtains, hooks to hang stuff up and outlets. The Yard also has a common kitchen and plenty of bathrooms, and showers. However, they don’t have anyone on staff to address guests...

The location is great and the cleanliness is very good. Unfortunately the hotel is quite unsocial and boring. The way the hostel is run also marrs the atmosphere. The cleaning staff mans the reception, but it doesn’t really seem like you’re supposed to talk to them and mostly they are not at the desk anyway. Also there are multiple threats of fines in the communication if you lose your key etc etc

My two nights stay at The Yard Hostel were pleasant! Rather cozy and spacious common areas inside the hostel. Nice and friendly atmosphere among the staff and guests. The bunks had curtains and were quite spacious. I stayed at two different dorm rooms and the first one lacked a window to open, so the air felt very stuck and not fresh. Location in Kamppi was great and even though it was rather busy...

A very good place to stay few days in Helsinki ! The chambers are pleasants, the common room is also great and all the Yard Hostel lovingly looked.

Super clean. Super easy to check in and out. I only had one dorm mate and he was very cool. It was in a neat part of town. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location and old building, old furniture. Definitely good choice for people who want to save money staying in the city center. But beds are old, two stores, old towels and old furniture, used by a lot of people for many years. Roughly, A kilometre away from the central railway station, the place can be reached in 10-12 mins by walk. It's neat and bed/rooms affordable. It has toilets, kitchen and showers. Only be mindful that you need to carry your luggage up the stairs to the third floor as no lifts available. Ring the bell and the door will be unlocked. Great location and really nice staff at a very decent price. On arrival there is a made bed and if you arrive early or leave late you are welcome to use the kitchen. They can also keep your bagage safe if you prefer to do some touristing in town before checking in.

Very reasonable prices for a single room, which is actually a studio with a kitchen with sink, fridge, stove and oven, plus the ensuite bathroom, something that you not always will find in a hostel. They could do housekeeping in shorter periods of time but nothing that really bothered me. All in all, good value for money.

It had a kitchenette (the kitchen utensils were provided in the common area where every guest could pick them up from and return after use) and a wet room type of bathroom. A great Hostel! I stayed here while doing a study abroad for 3 weeks in Finland. It is generally clean and has a sauna available for those staying here. The toughest part is that the rooms that face Hietaniemenkatu (in building D) face a bar, which gets very wild at night. If you are a light sleeper request a different building.

Clean and relaxed hostel on the fortress island of Suomenlinna. Amenities for children (baby crib, highchair and chest of toys) are available. The hostel is housed in an old redbrick building that used to serve as an elementary school. We had a wonderful stay and hope to visit again!

The hostel is located on an island but is easily accessible from the mainland by ferries that operate at an interval of at most 40 minutes. The hostel building was actually an early military barrack and has the old charm from outside but once you are inside, it is a nice modern hostel with most facilities. Calm and affordable place to stay near the city centre, located in the Suomenlinna sea fortress. The short distance to the ferry makes it easy to reach. Maybe not perfect to go out in the centre for a long night as the last ferry is at 2.20 to the island but this is better for a quiet and historical retreat for the evening and enjoy the beautiful sceneries of the Helsinki archipelago.

Beds are fine, showers are nice and warm, when i came in the winter the place was empty. You have to pretty much cater for yourself, there’s no real food options aside from a €7 breakfast, but it’s a perfectly fine place to stay if you’re back packing and is in a really unique location.

Perfectly nice hostel. The ferry runs frequently and only a couple of hours during the night it does not run. The staff is nice and so is the Island. One point of criticism are that the showers/bathrooms are kind of small, but still manageable I suppose.

Cleanliness was not perfect. Especially the floor and bathroom. The beds are quiet good but not as shown in the images.

Our staing in hostel forum went a bit strange from restaurant downstairs recepción without anyone up to bathroom and shower a bit too old school. But room was very nice equipped with fridge and kettle for hot water sink and TV. If I would be alone wouldn't mine stay there but as a family no!

The price is great. Close proximity to subway (5 mins walk). Clean. Large room. Free laundry room. Walls are paper thin though, quite a bit of noise constantly and there's not even a simple sink in room. It's a much better hostel than many because you can get a room just for yourself. As for the rest, it's just like a clean Scandinavian hostel really.

Overall it had all the necessities. The rooms were clean, bathrooms were alright (though shared) and kitchen had sufficient supplies. Personally I slept really well, but that might be due to being able to properly relax for once. However, the bedsheets had some stains and we had to put the linens on ourselves. Thus only 3 stars.

The kitchens are stocked with dishes and utensils, there's no threat of locking yourself out (unless you forget your door code), rooms are big and beds quite comfy. Only nitpick is that the shower rooms are cold and somewhat low for tall people.

The food was good, maybe seasoned a bit more manly, which I personally like, but other diners praised that they make good food 😊 a good place to come for lunch. There are enough parking spaces in the yard
