Brit Hotel Avignon Sud in Avignon

This hotel is extremely terrible, with very poor hygiene conditions. There were dead ants in the room and in the glasses, and there were unwashed unknown substances. The carpet was full of stains. The room was dusty everywhere, narrow, and the dirty bathroom had a strong urine smell, which was unbearable. The towels had yellow stains, which was disgusting. I cannot understand why the hygiene is so poor. The moment I opened the door to the room, I was extremely disappointed.

Horribly unhygienic - the mould is everywhere in the bathroom, dust coming out from the AC (and fall onto the pillows). The worst place I have been in my life. GROSS.

I went there in july with a group and when i tell you it was probably the worst experience of my life. No AC in my room ( 35 degrees out while being in the room number 33 who’s exactly right in the light of the sun ) and when i go inform the receptionist who was really rude by the way he says « yes there is obviously AC what is your room i’ll go look at it after » he never came. And on the way home from that horrible trip, we stayed there only one night i couldn’t stand to stay there anymore, i realized that the money in my wallet was missing. A wallet who was in my backpack left in the room while i was out for dinner, now i do suspect something may happened there because the locks of the doors are not resistant at all. If i seriously wanted i think that one kick at the door would be enough to break in. What i don’t understand is that the money in my wallet ( michael kors wallet ) was taken and nothing else was touched, why take a 50€ bill when there’s a fancy wallet. Breakfast was mediocre, just the necessary, by the way the OJ was awful it was so sour.
To conclude i don’t recommend you to go there, rude staff, may be thieves there aswell for me it was just awful.

If you have any kids with you I would advise not to stay at this hotel because it’s often for people to smoke marijuana in this hotel and if you complaining to the staff they will tell you why did you not get a different hotel and if you complain the next day about it they will call you a liar and threaten you

This place is a joke.
It's one step up from camping.
Also not far from living in a trailer.

The space is tight.

The water temperature fluctuates between hot and cold and our theory is every time someone flushed the toilet the cold water is in use for the toilet and the water in the shower gets scorching hot and you can suffer burns mid shower. (That someone can be in any room flushing the toilet not your own room and the person in the shower will feel the water temperature fluctuations).

This place received one star only because that is the lowest available rating.
