Jean Luc is a great host. Between my bad French and his pigeon English we just about got by, but with a lot of grace and good humour. The property is in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the stunning Palais de Pape in the old walled city. Try to book ahead and nab the downstairs courtyard room. That puts you in pole position for the little pool and breakfast area and saves you from having to lug heavy suitcases up two flights of steps. There’s a Carrefour store and a Boulangerie just around the corner, and the use of a big fridge plus tea and coffee making facilities by the Hotel's downstairs lounge.

It’s a like a little pot of gold in centre of Avignon. Not straight forward to find on Avignon little streets. When you find it you will be rewarded with a very warm welcome from Jean Luc. A very comfortable room and King bed awaits you. A quiet guest lounge with games is welcomed in the heart of Avignon. Wonderful breakfast all resulted in great stay for us.

For the tourist what Avignon most offers is its connection to history, specifically medieval history. Les Confidences is in the heart of the medieval district. You are in the center of another time and place. The hosts, Jean-Luc and his wife could not be more helpful. Restaurant reservations, an early departure breakfast, taxi arrangements. We arrived by taxi, helpful in the authentic narrow streets.

The hotel is in a lovely quiet area within 5-10 minutes of the centre of Avignon. Exceptionally clean, bed very comfortable and the breakfasts superb. Especially Valerie’s home made cakes. Highly recommend this lovely mid century accommodation

Jean-luv and Valarie are the most charming hosts. They were very helpful and provided a lovely breakfast with a smile every morning. This hotel is quaint but trick to find, Google maps will be your friend. We would very much recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area, it is beautiful, quiet, and has the best bath tub I have ever the the pleasure to soak in❤️.

Dear Valerie and Jean-Luc (and Beatrice). Thank you all for such a wonderful stay at your absolutely beautiful hotel. I can not recommend this hotel highly enough to anyone visiting Avignon. The hotel and rooms are absolutely superb. We had a room downstairs and our friends upstairs. It was perfect. Thank you for accommodating our special requests and for your very kind hospitality and fabulous breakfast each morning. Look no further if you are wanting an authentic French accommodation for a romantic couples stay or to enjoy with friends. It’s absolutely divine. We will be back for sure! Thank you again. Absolute garbage service. Our flights into the country were delayed. They “kindly” reminded us on our train ride to the city we missed check in and could no longer stay the night. Worst service ever!!!! Book at your own risk. Should put zero stars as we have no place to stay for the night. And have to search around the city on a late rainy night.

This is a quaint little hotel in the centre of the city's medieval quarter and close to all the essential sights. The house has been beautifully restored by the friendly hosts, with the benefit of lovely courtyard and plunge pool - quite a rarity in Avignon accommodation. Great breakfast choice and highly recommended overall. If you're arriving by taxi make sure the driver knows the location first.

This is a beautiful, small hotel in the heart of old Avignon. It is in an old building that has been professionally remodeled and decorated. The furnishings are very nice. The quiet courtyard is a lovely spot for the yummy breakfast. Jean-Luc and Valerie are friendly hosts who made our stay so comfortable. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Avignon.
