Fantastic boutique hotel. Lovely rooms and a pool to cool down.

Place was fine but staff was fraudulent with how they handled our reservation. We booked 3 accommodations through booking.com. One was an apartment that had several rooms to handle our entire group and therefore canceled 2 rooms. We paid a cancellation fee - which is fine. However we were not informed - except via an email later - about an extra person fee for the one apartment. In the end we were charged more to cancel the 2 rooms and stay in the one place than if we had kept all 3 rooms. This was fraudulent and they would not back down from the fees.

Our room was tiny and across the street from the main building. Also the hotel wouldn't allow us to use the air conditioning in the room as apparently the weather wasn't warm enough in their opinion. This made it impossible to get a good night's sleep as it was far too hot in the room and there was no window to leave open either. Such a shame because it's a really pretty hotel in a beautiful area

Not suitable for seniors (high bathtubs, no air conditioner in early may, radiator/heater on and very difficult to turn off ((in the lower end of the radiator almost next to the floor)); during snow season is necessary to go to another street to sleep and then come back to the breakfast area the same way. The very French breakfast is not worth the money we paid for it (18€ per person).
There is parking available in the property (15€ per night, but is very convenient. Since the hotel is close to the castle, the view is very nice.
May be attractive for young couples and Europeans but not our style.

The room we were first assigned had the wall paper starting to detach from the wall. They then moved us reluctantly to another room that was satisfactory. The first room should not be rented.

Really great stay. Brilliant location right next to the old city walls. Super service, really friendly staff (in particular one member, didn't get her name sadly - short brown hair). Nice drinks patio. Sadly the pool wasn't open (early April), and the rooms are nice but would benefit from the addition of a kettle, which was the only slight negatives but overall it's a great place to stay in a wonderful city and good value per night. Would recommend. The breakfast is decent. We liked that there is a friendly dog and a cat in the hotel too! Would look to stay again or one of their other hotels. The Montmorency shares facilities with the 4* hotel next door.

Awesome location with beautiful views of the citee! Rooms were quite small for 2 people traveling with larger suitcases. No desk to speak of. Value for money was good though. Did not enjoy the loud orange decor of the room but hey the breakfast made up for it which was extensive with great service.

Great to visit the medieval city by foot. Limited dining options if you don’t have a car.
