Royal Cottage

We had a wonderful stay here! We wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel is in an excellent location and extremely clean and well kept. Our favorite part however was the staff. They were extremely kind and incredibly accommodating. I can’t thank them enough for making it such a great stay. They also gave us the best recommendations on what to do and where to go including visiting the nearby village Le Castellet which was a hidden gem. Thank you again for making our short stay so memorable!

Let me start off by saying that I never even stayed a night at this hotel, but this hotel went above and beyond to help my wife and I when and we got a flat tire in May of 2023 in our rental car just outside the front gate. I couldn’t get my car out of the middle of the street so I ran over to the front desk and the woman at the front desk and the gentleman managing the hotel were two of the nicest and coolest people we met in France. They made all the phone calls for us to our rental company and handled all the communications since our French speaking skills were pretty non-existent. They kept us in their lobby and gave us juice and water while we waited. I would love if they responded to this so we could connect on Facebook. Thank you both very much, you both are awesome.

We only stayed 2 nights in the hotel Royal cottage but it was fantastic. As we arrived at the hotel on our first day, we were surprised by the fact, that the receptionist could speak fluently German. The staff was hospitable at all times and the receptionist immediately filled us in on the varied activities you could do in Cassis and gave us some more information referring to the hotel. Our room was tidy, spacious and the main bathroom was decent sized. However, the best thing about our room was undoubtedly the enormous balcony with its stunning view and the huge outdoor pool. The hotel definitely exceeded our expectations and so did the village Cassis, which we fell in love with right away. In the immediate proximity to Cassis are dozens of fantastic spots to snorkel, the limestone cliff was wonderful and the harbor in the center of the village was just lovely. Those events combined with the splendid hotel definitely made it an unforgettable stay and if we had the chance, we would definitely book it again

Nice, quiet, and clean hotel. A healthy, but completely manageable, walk from the harbor. Will stay here again next time I am in Cassis.

Great hotel! The pool area is amazing and there is a bar at the pool area as well. The location is a 10 minute walk from the city centre, which is not to bad. The breakfast was very good and the rooms clean and tidy.

Being an American, it's hard to rate European hotels. Standards are so different. The room is large and clean. The terrace is lovely (we face the sea). The bathroom is old and wasn't as clean, but everything works. The breakfast is ok but truly continental. The biggest problem in Cassis is language. Not many speak English and our French is horrible. That's our fault! Just an FYI for travelers. Also the taxi (all 6 of them) do not like short rides. We've had some frustrating experiences. The staff can't help much either. Everyone is super friendly. Just plan everything within walking distance (this hotel is up hill from the town) or take an organized tour with a guide that provides transportation.
