Grand Hotel Beauvau Marseille Vieux Port - MGallery

Excellent location with stunning views and sunset over the old port from our room/suite balcony on level 7. Hotel is old but charming, breakfast was probably the best of any European hotel in our 2mth trip. The breakfast room and bar area had large windows to view the old port. Large bed comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel within walking distance to everything including the metro.

We booked this hotel last minute for a Friday night. We booked an Old Port view room and we were elated to find that the hotel receptionist upgraded us to a Suite (#702) with a terrace!. WOW!! We were so happy with the room and it's beautiful views! This was by far our most memorable hotel in our tour of Italy, France, Monaco and Spain. The bar was beautiful with lovely views of the Old Port. We loved it so much, we tried to book a second night but the hotel was sold out. I would have definitely stayed here longer if it was available.

Good location by the water, entrance on the back side of the building though.
Got a comfy simple room earlier than at check-in time, which had a bathtub and all amenities needed including bathrobes & slippers.
Water kettle for coffee/tea in room and a mini fridge. Nespresso machine in the lobby for take away.

Some construction work going on in annex/neighbor building starting early in the morning which woke us up.

Bar open from afternoon to midnight and has a good view over the port.

Incredible hotel. Lovely rooms. Think we were lucky with the size of the room although the view was over an internal space. Could not be called a courtyard but the bar views made up for it. Huge bed and very comfy. Lovely staff and very nice breakfast as well.

A lovely hotel with personable staff and large comfortable rooms. The hotel’s close proximity to the port and so many restaurants and other points of interest was a definite plus.

My only non positive comment is that the floor of the tub in our room was badly worn and stained and, as a result, a bit off putting.

We arrived early and were advised the room was not yet ready because they were upgrading us to a suite. The room was fantastic with a 2nd level loft bedroom and an expansive balcony overlooking the Vieux Port. The mini-fridge was stocked with a nice variety of included drinks. The location is great for walking to the attractions surrounding the port. In addition, there is bus and metro access literally across the street. One afternoon we rented electric bikes from a shop less than a kilometer away and toured the coastline and were surprised to see some to the Olympic events taking place. Overall, a very memorable stay.

Too many positives to mention all. However room was presented nicely, clean and furnished well.
We had a Vieux - Port room with and fantastic view of the Port, the Bastille Day parade and evening celebrations with fireworks.
The staff was outstanding. Helping accommodate restaurant reservation requests with little notice.
We will be back.

As some have posted, the hotel is a bit faded, but the great room and friendly helpful staff made up for this. The breakfasts are great and good value. It featured local produce. The highlight was the room view over the old port during the Olympic torch celebrations. Staff recommended great restaurants and were very helpful on all matters.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Helpful staff. Amazing view of the port. All you really need. Room air con was a little defective but I guess best to the open a window.
