Perfect for the Rugby World Cup.
Newly renovated & so close to the ground. If you are going to the Marseille stadium this is the best hotel to stay at.

Fantastic bed and pillow seldom sleep so well in hotel. Nice that you can make coffee and tea in the room. Only heating had a bit off day 😉

Clean hotel with friendly staff. A bit far to walk to the front though. Good parking options too.

They are alright rooms, as always staff... Meh some better some not...
In general, no one is really wiling to "go the extra mile" in France, as compared to other countries, big chain hotels, feels more distant and less friendly.
That is:
If you ask for something let's say, out of: "bonjour j'ai une réservation" staff would be troubled...
Never had a gesture of courtesy, although sometimes I have returned up to 5-10 times in a year, they are mostly correct, but lack the sense of extraordinary service, you are given in Spain, or some eastern European countries.

I was very pleasantly surprised for the price of 60€ a night. I stayed during the tour de france and it was the cheapest hotel near the start area so I didn't expect much. I got a small, clean room and a renovated bathroom. Friendly staff. It's a bit of a confusing and not very picturesque walk from the central train station, lots of traffic outside but very good window isolation so you don't hear much. I suggest taking a public rental bike (le velo) instead of the tube or busses, it's a nice ride from the carrefour down the street to the old harbour and both major beaches.
