Great hotel, lovely staff and convenient location. Annoyingly it looks like the hotel has parking when you book but it doesn't (one of the reasons I chose it). A nearby car park that is over 20 euros for the night so factor that in. Breakfast is great.

Straightforward booking, check in and check out processes. Fantastic central location. Large clean and well designed rooms. Special thank you to Nancy on the cleaning staff who helped me with room access. Overall very impressed with Mercure and will stay with the brand again.

The hotel is clean, smells nice and is walking distance from restaurants, Cathedral, shops and many attractions. The breakfast is very good, with varieties of foods. Buildings with festival of lights and pictures are very close to the hotel. One is in front of the hotel. Delightful!

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The staff are really friendly and the rooms reasonable. The breakfast was great, they even do small gluten free bread products that they cook on request and come out hot and really delicious. The only bummer is the lack of elevator.

It makes a nice change to have a restaurant on site but please include 1 or 2 options for vegans. Vegan food is now flooding onto the market so don't get left behind. Fish and chips ,come on move with the times . Otherwise all ok. A tired hotel that could do with brightening up.

We were staying overnight en route back to England. The room suited our needs and the bed was very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant, there was a good choice of meals at a reasonable price. We had breakfast, a buffet. There was a good assortment of options for the continental breakfast. The staff were all helpful and when my french failed, as it did!, they spoke in English for me.

Convenient location. Very helpful and pleasant staff. The room, however, did have a couple of problems. The sink leaked, so we positioned the bin underneath it. There were some exposed wires on one of the light fittings and the batteries were dead in the TV remote. It was fine for an overnight stop over and would use it again as we have been before and never had these sort of problems on previous visits

We liked the large room which provided lots of space to move around. Appreciated the private parking space. Food was fine. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast provided a good range of choices.

A lovely hotel, great service. Staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and at home. Fantastic breakfast at a good price, well worth it. The only thing I would recommend is to explore parking options as their hotel's parking has a very narrow passages - if you have a 4x4 or anything a little larger like a volvo, wouldn't recommend trying to get in and/or out of it.

Found this hotel for luggage storage online 6 E per bag. Outstanding hotels just a few steps from the train stationed very polite service. We also enjoyed a cup of coffee and an orange juice. I recommend the hotel and their luggage storage service.

The Jehan de Beauce Hotel in Chartres, France is a lovely hotel with comfortable rooms and an excellent staff. Breakfasts are excellent as well. The location between the train station and the Chartres Cathedral is perfect for travelers who might be new to Chartres.

Stayed here for a night on our way down to Southwest France. Tesla Superchargers (open to non-Tesla's) in the car park which is a real plus point for those with an EV. Friendly staff, clean, tidy rooms, if a little basic. Good choice at breakfast. Probably more of a business hotel given it's location.

I went only to have dinner at the restaurant and had a burger + the buffet of desserts. The staff was super friendly and the food was about 7 or 8 out of 10. Overall a good experience and I guess this is the best place to eat something in the area without taking the car, so totally recommended.

Nice stopping off place whilst driving through France. The hotel is situated on an industrial site but we never heard any noise to disturb us during the night. We were pleasantly surprised by the standard of the room and restaurant. The food was reasonably priced and the staff helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. What more could you ask. We will stop here again.

Good location off the motorway. Efficient (but rather expensive) restaurant, but that's the way of the world at the moment. (Summer of 2022). Plenty of parking and an outside terrasse for when it's warm.

Had over 10 rooms booked over the weekend for a wedding locally. Everyone left happy and was grateful for the service and friendliness of this hotel and the staff all on all 5/5

Returned after being impressed by last year's stopover. Lived up to expectations! Great value hotel well above average for its classification. Magical place. In a restored former monastery, very quiet, very clean, and close proximity to the Cathedral. Impeccable, modern rooms and bathrooms. Friendly service. Strong WIFI. Great value for money. I highly recommend.

The best part about this hotel is its location - right next to the most impressive Notre Dame. It has its own gated free parking but it's difficult to get to and it fills up very fast. The rooms are modest but clean and the beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

Nice simple hotel near the highway, very convenient for a overnight stay if you travel to or from airport. I arrived after the reception closure and leave before it was open, access was automated with a code, free parking. Clean room with comfortable bed. The price is correct and give good value to the price. I was pleasantly surprised from this 2star hotel.

I have stayed in many B&B hotel in the last 20 years and this is the best so far. Very friendly welcome and although there are no restaurants nearby the host provides excellent value evening meals and a great breakfast. Nice place, free parking. You can go to your room anytime. If you check in online, it is easier, and you will get your code to get in the gate and your room. You don't need a card. You can check out before 12 so you are still able to get breakfast 😉.

Bathroom cleaner than in many 4 stars. Room a bit small and bedding a bit hard, but it did not affect the quality of the night stay. Overall, the price is more than justified and I would come back when in the area.

This is a good surprise. A really traditional French hotel, in a nice setting, reasonably priced with luxurious service and facilities. The personnel is extremely nice and helpful. A wonderful place My wife booked there for our wedding birthday and it was a wonderful experience: a beautiful bedroom, an astounding gourmet diner, a nice breakfast area, and an attentive service. Everything was fine. Plus the fact that you can easily walk downtown. For the parking, I would recommend the public one on the plazza in front of the hotel. A week-end to remember.

The hotel is fine for the budget. There are not many dining options close to the hotel,, best options seemed to be around the cathedral, about 1km away and uphill. Room I had was plus room, comfortable enough with space to work. Bed and pillows were comfortable.

Acceptably central but not on the doorstep of the cathedral this modest hotel has a spacious reception area. Decor upstairs is ugly and dated, rooms are small - not recommended for two friends sharing - bathrooms also small. No carpet, just vinyl flooring in the bedroom adds to the sense of below-par hotel. Breakfast is below average, no fresh fruit amongst other issues. I would not go back.

Chartres, home to a beautiful and historic Cathédrale, and the hotel is so conveniently placed to visit. Underground parking is also available. The room was pleasant, plentiful hot water and comfortable bed. An all-round enjoyable experience.

We have used this hotel regularly, for a number of years, for an overnight stay on our way to and back from our French property, in Southern France. Whilst it is under new management and the rooms have been redecorated it’s essentially it’s the same place as before. We have had a fridge in two of our rooms this summer, handy for transporting cheese! Secure parking is a big bonus, as is the location...

It was only a night but well it went well. It was the perfect location for me because of work. This hotel was recommanded by the organiser of the exhibition (Congrès Parfums et Cosmétiques). Super little hotel, well placed for a mid-journey break or short holiday. Stayed in May 2024. Room 202. Tidy, quiet, very comfortable. Easy to access. But 14.90 Euros for breakfast? Too much for not a very wide choice.

The place Wasn't to bad the bed was heard and gave me a back ache but they had a buffalo grill that you can walk to

What a really wonderful hotel to stay! Great atmosphere , restaurant, pool. If you are travelling with children, it is perfect. The very nice gardens . Very good acces for wheelchairs ! Typical Campanile hotel on 3 floors The room, bed and linen are all clean and tidy. We stayed on route home for demi-pension. The whole dinner was buffet based, starter main and dessert. Clean and well appointed rooms with air conditioning. Pet friendly. The attached restaurant and bar is fantastic, with beautiful buffet style food. Breakfast is particularly nice, with help yourself food, coffee and tea and fruit juice. Very friendly, helpful staff. Reasonably priced.

Second stop @ campanile hôtel now near Chartres, very warm welcome from the receptionist, very accommodating as I can't walk up stairs, gave me a ground floor room. I actually like this chain of accommodation

We stayed here 1 night to continue our car trip the next day and was exactly what we needed. Good restaurant, friendly and helpful staff and small but functional room. Wouldn't recommend for a trip stay, but perfect for overnight's !

Ok for an overnight on our trip South at the weekend The stopover returning North on a weekday, didn't feel quite so happy with the fellow guests :( Would certainly use again, but only at the weekend. Oh and bring your own pillow, you'll need it ;)

The room is OK for a family of 3 people. I removed one star because of a slight cigarette smell. It's clean budget friendly for one night.

Motorcycle Tour - I chose this hotel to break my journey south and it ticked all the boxes for me. Clean, comfortable and pleasant reception staff who were able to guide me to the best place to eat within walking distance. The hotel was massively popular and with the rooms at a fair price I am am not surprised.

Not too far from the railway station so do not expect calm night and morning. Parking is a bit small and the breakfast not very tasty. However very clean, good bed. A lack of ventilation in the bathroom (moldy smell).

Arrived late but pleasantly welcomed at reception of more upmarket and co-owner neighbouring hotel. Rooms good, though be warned that they are non air-conditioned and no elevators- also corridors strewn with laundry. Not given car park option which were provided for the nicer hotel. It's a bit outdated BUT: good value for money, it isiclean and has friendly staff. Big plus is the private parking which was resurfaced recently and spacious. Parking is not free but very friendly priced. The hotel is right in the centre and a 5 minute walk from the Cathedral. Despite being in the centre it is very quiet. As expected , good location and pretty much what we expect from Ibis Styles hotels . Nothing fancy but perfect for an overnight stop. Also this location has a choice of nearby restaurants. On small gripe is my standard one regarding the towels, they always appear to be rather small and well worn in most Ibis Styles hotels. How often are they replaced ? Could I suggest, more frequently ?

A lovely ancient Town. The hotel was located on the outskirts of the main town centre. We stayed there as a group of us used it to stay and travel to the Huge Le Mans Classic race over 4 and a half days. I would use it again and this time spend some time in the Town.

Gated car park which i was happy to see, although we had to use a screen by the front door to check in and obtain a code for the gate and the machine was only in french.. I did not see any staff at this point however, a bit of common sense gets it done. There was a guest smoking weed on a bench by the front door and then while parking saw another man from a second story room smoking out the window...
