My husband and I recently stayed here, and while the location was undeniably excellent—we were left underwhelmed by other aspects of our stay.
The staffs were okay, but not particularly welcoming or friendly. While they were professional, the warmth and hospitality you’d expect weren’t there.
The room was disappointing. It looked outdated and clearly in need of renovation. Worse, there was an unpleasant smell coming from the shower drain that made the bathroom less than comfortable to use. The bathroom is very small btw. The thermostat was another issue—it couldn’t be adjusted because the adjuster roll was broken, leaving the room temperature out of our control.
To top it off, the pillows had visible signs of mold, which was unacceptable. We slept with no pillows at all. It raised serious concerns about the cleanliness and maintenance standards of the hotel.
Overall, while the location might make it convenient, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless they address these issues. For the price, I expected far better conditions.

I and my family spent 2nights on New Year’s Eve and first of Jan. This hotel have a very bad attitude to customers, which may be only for the one who’s not speak French.
The room is old, the towels is a kind of grey and feel like dirty. The bathtub was broken, I informed the hotel reception but no one came to fix it. The house keeper came at 4:30 pm. While we just came in and refreshed for dinner. She told me that she will not come back to clean the room because she is out of duty soon. So the room didn’t clean along while we stay.
The most bad impression is the dinner on New Year’s Eve. The dinner set at 7:00pm. We were the first table came in. We have to wait for an hour to get the starter, and the main course another hour, but the point was we didn’t served the first table even we came in first. The waitress served 4-5 tables passing us. So I asked the waiter, why we came first but you served the others before us. He walked pass my table and not even look at me. Shouting while walking “You have to wait It’s Christmas” I was shocked, the behavior was extremely rude, I never been this kind of situation in my life. Finally the main course was served, the taste was lousy. We ate a bid of it. It was 9:30pm. the dining room full of people. So I and my husband just walked out without having the dessert. It wasn’t worth to wait for the lousy taste and rude manner of the waiter and waitress. This is the most ugly New Year’s eve I ever been. By the way It’s not Christmas, it’s the attitude of your staffs so don’t blame Christmas. Christmas is such a good holiday fulfill with joy and happiness, but it ruined by worthless people.

The reception was rude. My bother forgot the room key card and went to ask for help. The staff swear in French with rude act. Do you think we are foreigner and cannot understand French so that you cannot say bad things to us in French? We understand it clearly what you just said.
The room is also super old and towels are dirty. The bath tub broken. We went to ask for help but no one comes to fix it.

We went for walking in the city. When we return to the hotel. Our room had not been clean. At first we think it is normal maybe we did something wrong but the housekeeping just appear on 16:30 pm and do nothing. We ask that she will come back later and she said no, she will be out of work at that time. Then why not you come earlier?

I should've believed the reviews and booked another place. The room definitely was not worth what we paid for: old (not in a nice way) with bathroom doors and A/C system from 1980s, pile of dust in the vent and curtains. Windows haven't been washed in weeks if not months. To top it off, the location: we usually like walking but here it's not worth it because there is nothing nearby, not even a place to buy water or coffee. The reception staff was nice but overall, we don't recommend!

We got the upgrade for our room and it was very spacious and has a great balcony with amazing view. Thank you for the welcome greeting, it is well prepared and we love it so much!

Step back to the time of the late 1800s and early 1900s. The room was decorated with chandeliers and old furniture which was in pristine condition. Opulent feel in the halls and decorated to the age of the hotel.
Very clean and functional bathroom. Our room was big and quiet. Bed is comfortable and room is dark and cool in the summer. We liked the controllability of room temperature. We shall return.

Great hotel. Located right beside the train station. A nice walking distance from the "hustle and bustle" of the city centre (15-20mins) through a lovely park. Dog friendly. Can recommend the bar down the road for a morning espresso/cappuccino and croissant. OH and don't forget to try out their restaurant - had a great meal there!

We had a very good two night stay here. They had upgraded us to a junior suite (not sure why) and it was a lovely large room, very comfortable. The hotel is handily placed right opposite the station. The walk into the attractive old centre of Colmar is about 15 minutes but there is also a little free bus which cycles round between the station and the town.
Breakfast was adequate but not sensational. Our room was very quiet except at about 6am when there was suddenly a noise of deliveries being made - possibly beer barrels rolling around.
We had booked a table in the restaurant for dinner at reception on our first night but when we got to the restaurant they told us quite brusquely that we did not have a booking! However, they showed us to a table anyway in the almost empty dining room and after that it was all quite friendly!
I have to say that we were quite surprised at the size of the meals. We usually do justice to our meals but we could barely manage half of what they gave us and felt quite guilty at leaving so much on our plates! The food was very good.

A very well located hotel. Across the road from train station. Bus station and twenty five minutes to the town.very nice staff. Who work day and night, always very happy to see you.

Great stay. Perfect location right near the train station and a short walk into town. Loved our huge room and the more authentic furnishings. Very wheelchair friendly.
