I stayed for two nights on a solo trip. The hotel is ideally located right next to Place Kléber, and the area was very quiet. However, it's a bit of a walk to the train station, Petite France, and the Cathedral.

The room was clean, but the desk is positioned right by the door, making it difficult to enter or exit if the chair is even slightly pulled out. What's more, the chair was quite heavy, making it a hassle to reposition. I also noticed the absence of tissues and a mirror at the desk, which led to some minor inconveniences.

Breakfast was available on the terrace, but the selection wasn't as good as what you'd find at a typical four-star city hotel. I particularly wished for a more substantial salad offering.

The staff at the hotel is welcoming and always helpful. The location is great for walking to the important sites; one way to the Petite France medieval area, another to the Cathedral. It has about a 10-min walk to/from the train station that is safe and scenic. The restaurant at the hotel is indoor/outdoor and the food is very good. My favorite was the Caesar Salad with very crispy chicken. It was so nice to eat dinner outside on the patio, after a busy day. We felt very safe in and around the hotel area. Strasbourg is a happy and relaxed city with lots of history, shopping and cafes.

Do not book. Rooms were in bad condition, the carpet was worn out and over all looks old, cleaning was also poor. The overall aesthetic of the room doesn’t match to the expectations of the pictures that were shown, for that price you would at least expect better. Regarding service, it was very poor. We for example have been calling room service a few times and no one answered during that hour that we have been calling. Even the cards for the room weren’t working, we had to go down multiple times to ask them to fix it, even after asking it was still not working, horrible. The breakfast options was not much and they were just not cooperative. Not worth the stay at all 👎🏽

I absolutely loved my stay at Sofitel! The location is excellent, close to everything. The staff was friendly, professional, and always ready to help. I would especially like to thank Karen, who was incredibly kind and attentive with my twins – the kids adored her! I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again. :)

Our team has visited this location multiple times for various business meetings, and each experience has been excellent. Celine, our meeting manager, was incredibly helpful and communicative throughout the planning process. The team consistently complimented the hotel and spoke highly of the meeting spaces. It was a smooth and enjoyable experience.

The hotel is well situated, close to the tram and the city centre. Staff are friendly and helpful, and in particular Anna and Alexandra in the restaurant at breakfast time were delightful. Kind, helpful, friendly and extremely professional and patient even under pressure. My thanks to both. My room was a little smaller than I might have wished but was clean and comfortable. I was disappointed that because I preferred not to have €100 a day blocked on my card my water was not automatically provided daily. I had to ask each day. It was brought quickly and professionally but it’s a bizarre ‘rule’. The restaurant breakfast was very good, but I thought the lunch and evening menu a little restricted in choice. Overall I’d recommend the hotel, though it’s quite expensive in my view.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful, food was very good specially breakfast, the room I stayed in was on the 3rd floor near a major renovation.
But overall it was comfortable stay.

Staff were friendly and courteous. Concierge services were excellent. Hôtel itself was clean, comfortable and well positioned. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay here again.
