voco Strasbourg Centre - The Garden, an IHG Hotel

It is a nice hotel. The windows open. They do not put a plastic condomlike cover on the mattress. Breakfast is decent although the scrambled eggs come from a box. I enjoyed the fresh orange juice, dates and nuts in the buffet breakfast. It was all very clean. The pool is very warm and pleasant with clean dressing rooms. However, charging 9 EUR for it is really ridiculous. High praise on water in a glass bottle in the room and top notch fire alarm and extinguishing equipment. The staff seems happy to work there which is not always the case in french hotels. Nice terrace and super selection of tees in the doom. I will come back.

The hotel is near to the train station, the breakfast is good, with fresh food. But the sofa bed for children is not so comfortable, the edge of the sofa is so sharp that it can cut the skin if you don’t pay attention. No first aid kit at the reception.

A Hidden Gem in Provence ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Classic Elegance and Comfort ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The location was excellent, easy walk from the railway station and to the city center and Petite France.

The hotel is new, very clean and decorated with quality materials and nice colors. Soundproofing and comfortable bed helped me sleep very well.

Gym with Tecnogym cardio equipment in the basement, open 24/7.

The breakfast had everything I like, except great coffee (machine coffee, average).

Overall, a very positive stay. I could definitely stay here again.

Flawless, or at least as close to flawless that I have gotten with a hotel. Complimentary breakfast in the morning is excellent. Staff are responsive for both scheduled and unexpected matters. I truly felt supported in all matters during my time at Voco. Rooms are spacious and cleaned often. Extra services are great - fitness room, pool and spa, and laundry service. I hope to return. 10 minute walk from main train station.

Fantastic stay! Room was spotlessly clean, bed and linens were very comfortable and nice sized bathroom with rainfall shower. Air conditioning was easily up to American standards. The pool/spa area was wonderful and much needed after a week of travel. Be prepared to pay 9 euro per person and book in advance, but this was no problem. I would not say that the pool is child oriented, but great for couples or business travelers. Breakfast had good local bread, cheeses and jams. The dinner restaurant was alright, but you could find better in the city for the price point.

The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and helpful, despite being very busy. I felt very comfortable asking for anything we needed and I enjoyed speaking with them.

This location is a few blocks away from the city center and maybe a 10 minute walk to the historic district. A healthy adult would have no issue at all. If walking is an issue, there are trams that stop maybe a few blocks away to take you closer to Petit France/Notre Dame or anywhere else. Lots of nearby shopping and restaurants.

Great rooms and reception very nice. Food was ok although we had to wait for replenishment. Checkout time was fair, 12 pm, contrary of some others that asks 10.30 or 11. Had to reserve parking space in advance, strongly recommend this. I would recommend it

Really enjoyed our stay! One the of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed at. The staff was really kind and helpful. I think it’s a high end hotel at a good price. All the finishings and furniture in the room were nice. Slept comfortable there. Lucie was an amazing help and Aya as well, all the front staff were but could not remember all their names. Went out of their way for recommendations and assistance.

My only comment is that you’re not allowed to sit down in the dining hall during breakfast hours to have a coffee, even as a guest. This is my only complaint but other than that, it’s a 5/5, no other complaints, and I would stay again!

Thank you for the mask tester from Staycation_fr. I was surprised.. and happy for the little surprise. The hotel is cute. But they do not provide any toothpaste on the bathroom, (probably available upon request).
Love everything, except the toilet (the water wasn’t strong enough compared to our toilet at home in Germany).
