Hotels in Rennes

This was a stopover on the way to St Malo. It served its purpose. The hotel staff try quite hard but we were left with the sense of the hotel being simply functional. No real charm involved in this property. The shopping area next door was noisy during the night. There is no parking associated with the hotel but there is an arrangement with the local public underground car park about 7 minutes walk...

Stayed for almost 25 days... locationwise superb with metro station in front nd mall behind the hotel..the rooms r very spacious nd well maintained .. the only shortcoming I felt was the width of the bed which was quite less.. the AC didnt cool properly.. my suggestion is that they provide stand fans keeping in mind the summer heat nowadays in Europe.. overall i liked the hotel...

It was a nice hotel. They provided free water bottles and great tea in the room. The location was okay, and it is close to the train station, but because it has slight slope in between so it may not be super comfortable if you carry heavy luggage and go there by foot. The bathtub was okay. The atmosphere of the hotel is luxurious but the room was not that luxurious, but it was super cosy

Not really up to a 4* standards overall even if the 1960 vibe is pretty pleasant. The breakfast is straight robbery. Almost 20euros and not even fresh bread.

Location of the hotel is very good as it is a central location. Near to shopping centres, food stores, and parking right besides the hotel. Breakfast is great and buffet style.

Very clean, reasonable room service. Excellent breakfast tray (if included in your plan) wuth coffee, fruit, hot milk, yogurt... nice sized rooms. Definitely a business hotel.

We were able to check in early which was great. Bed is very comfortable and plenty of room to store belongings around the room. The only thing that bothered me personally is the noise; this woke me up quite a few times in the night and I’m usually a deep sleeper! Staff are mostly all polite, friendly and helpful. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

This has been the best hotel in France during my visit. At the front desk Nancy will greet you better than any other person in the world and speaks multiple languages. Great located, few meters away from the city center but rooms are not really small, cleaning was not irreproachable. There is no room service during weekdays. Buffet which is basically serving tarts and cheese boards instead. Fitness room is in front of the breakfast room, with glass windows..

I would have given a 5 star review if not for the terrible odour coming out of the shower. It was so bad that I nearly puked but I told reception and I'm sure it will be taken care of. Amenities are very good and the Spa is a delight.

We stayed in the hotel as stop off on our way to Brittany. We had a lovely stay in a family room. The spa was great and welcomed the kids who loved the pool and jacuzzi. Ideally located for restaurants and bars nearby. Would recommend.

Kettel smelled like s*** and requested to change it 3 times but the service was poor. The price is a bit high for the amenities provided.

I stayed 8 days in this hotel. I observed a consistent and high quality service all over my stay there. Personnel is really friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet well furnished and good quality food (continental). SPA is a bit small (and no sauna) but cleaned. Ibis hotels are cheap college dorm rooms with bathroom, TV and wifi. This one is attached to train station. Functional not fancy.

Modern cheap hotel with spacious rooms very close to the center and obviously train station. Kind réception. Idéal to use as base to visites Rennes and Bretagne

I enjoyed my stay in Ibis hôtel Rennes near the train station. Very convenient in terms of location, in few minutes you have the city center. The staff is very helpful. I recommend.

Hotel located right next to the Train station, so very handy and best one for travelers that need to take the train the next morning, the room is big enough and clean, same for the bathroom , the staff always nice. Cons: -No USB outlet -It was $20 cheaper last year at the same time, but still cheap for what you get!

Pleasent check in and adequate room. Nice shower. Good tasty breakfast. Close to Gare Train Station and a 15 minute walk to the Old Town. Handy locstion for the return of hire cars.

Decent hotel in downtown Rennes. Nothing fancy. Nice size room with a comfortable bed but could use some refurbishment. Go there for one or two nights if all you care about is not paying too much and want to stay close to everything.

Excellent. Huge breakfast. Small bar on mezz floor where you can redeem drinks vouchers or relax and have a selection of non alcoholic drinks. I was upgraded to a new room on 3rd floor facing the quiet inner court. My luggage was taken at 12 long before check in time and when I returned at 14:00 it was already in my room. Fantastic.

The rooms are fairly basic, but clean. Not the most comfortable mattress, but adequate. Staff are friendly and efficient. There is a good self service breakfast. The WiFi was also sufficient for basic web browsing. Overall, the hotel looks like it needs an update, but it is reasonable value for money.

A nice hotel outside Rennes, close to the motorway surrounding the city but in a very quiet area. The rooms were clean relatively quiet but with a room close to the stairs you may experience some noise when people walk to and from the reception. I am very pleased to stay in this hotel. I booked a double bed room. The welcome was very good and the room and hotel were both really nice and tidy. There was no disturbing nose during my stay. Everything went nice and smooth. It didn't have the complimentary stuff like some tea, coffee and kettle in the rooms and it was a bit pricey so I'm deducting one star for that. Uphill small and cute hotel. Excellent location if your office view is in the university campus. Underestimate the hills and be confronted with too bold a behaviour the next day. Small parking but it looks like one can park anywhere on the streets anyway. Breakfast on the inside or if brave enough you are on the tiny terrace. Stayed here during my visit to a conference. Staff are friendly, but facilities are very average, and will match the price, to say. WiFi is a special mention, it reminds you of yesteryears' dial-up connection. They don't have dinner on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and there are no eateries nearby. My niece and myself stayed here on our way to Chevanceaux when my clutch went and we hobbled in late in the evening. The staff could not have been more helpful and myself my niece my two dogs and a cat shared a room for the night. I had booked two rooms for us at the Hotel Mecure in Nantes but we didn't make it there. Next morning Etienne help us to locate a towing company who took my car to a garage...

Me and my family stayed here in August 24 and it was perfect. The room was great and the staff were so friendly and helpful (I think his name was Ivan, he was amazing!) They made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel very welcome! Great work everyone

The room was perfect for an overnight stay. Everything was clean and neat. The bed was comfortable. We did not have the breakfast as we left too early. The area is quiet - at least it was when we were there - and the hotel's free parking was good. I would definitely consider staying next time we are passing through Rennes.

Perfect location for food, drinks & shopping. Room was perfect but more importantly the staff was outstanding!! We needed laundry done and they were happy to do it. Very good clean hotel. We got a room with a balcony with a view of the train station which is very nice! Obviously super close to the train station. Also love our room with tub.

Newly refurbished, very nice staff, just opposite train station and Metro station, 3 minutes walk to bus station for Mont Saint-Michel. Well equipped room, very comfortable bed and pillow. Very good room rate, highly recommended.

This is a very good place to stay. The price is reasonable and I found the hotel room clean and comfortable. The receptionist was also very helpful in advising me where the best places to eat within walking distance of the hotel.

We just stayed as a last-minute, one night stop off as part of a long road trip, to break up our journey. It was basic accommodation but entirely adequate and excellent value. Great and cozy rooms, big parking area and a lovely breakfast, but the security gate, while a great asset to safety, did not work and we were unable to drive to the city on the first evening.

Nice hotel with very trendy decor and friendly staff. Prices for breakfast etc are a little high when there's so many other options on your doorstep. The hotel had good facilties, a comfortable bed and felt safe and secure. What more do you need?

Comfortable, friendly staff, very nice location in the centre of Rennes. It doesn't matter that the hotel doesn't have parking , it's free in the street from 7.00 pm to 9.00 am.
