Hôtel De La Cathédrale

Old, but charming hotel and dito rooms. The larger 2-person room was realy roomy, but the advertised 'view' was on the hotel's courtyard. That was nicely enough decorated, but maybe not what one would expect. If the weather is nice, there might be a drawback with noise from people sitting on the terrace and cigarette smoke drifting up.

The hotel is located right in the city centre (actually against the back wall of the cathedral). Information up front about how to find it would have been convenient. The entrance is in a pedestrian area closed for motorised vehicles, which is surrounded by one-way streets that haven't been correctly updated yet on Google maps. Also info where to park would have helped. You can stop to drop off luggage at the mouth of the alley, but if you're fit, the walk with luggage to the parking garage is also doable. We paid 33 euros parking fee for a 2-night stay.

Breakfast buffet was okay and at 12 euros really not expensive.

The hotel is unfit for guests with a serious movement or visual impairment. Because of afore mentioned location and because the stairs are uneven and hard to navigate. There is an elevator, but that also is not easily accessible.

A very warm welcome at that cosy hotel located at the heart of the medieval city of Rouen, only a few yards away from where Joan of Arc was burnt alive... Comfort and silence in that traditional Inn where the staff will do anything to please patrons' requests and meet their every needs. Highly recommended.

Wonderful small hotel, right in the heart of the city.

Pleasant hotel, with helpful staff, good location, and good breakfast (€11 extra). Despite being in a very quiet area (right next to the cathedral) the walls are thin, and the floorboards creaky, so light sleepers may be disturbed during the night.
